With Twilight and Ruby Sparkle settling into their new positions as rulers, they oversee the transition of the bat ponies to their new home. But now that two of the Four Shepherds have appeared, Equestria must prepare itself for the rest. The next Shepherd will be unlike Sombra or Night Walker, as he threatens not only Equestria, but the kingdoms of the other races as well. Awakening from his mysterious slumber, he will carve his way across the land, intent on regathering his unwilling army. But before he manages to travel to the edges of the world, he will leave a parting gift in his wake to Rainbow Dash and four other ponies he chanced upon. With her life forever changed, Rainbow Dash prepares herself for her new fate, as well as finding her place among the ponies that share her future.

When pursuing Starlight, Twilight and Spike experienced variances of Equestria, and saw how the river of time could have been different. Now, Starlight has moved in with Twilight, Nyx, and Spike and has begun her studies in friendship. To thank those who have helped her embrace friendship once more, Starlight has created an enchantment that allows the castle’s map table to let anyone glimpse other variances of reality.

Canterlot is getting ready for the wedding of the century, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza is marrying the Captain of the Royal Guard and part of the draconic royal family will be in attendance. Luna must save her sister from the Solar flare's before it is too late.... and she turns into the monstrous Solar Flare.

After Discord's defeat, Equestria was slowly recovering. Misery was everywhere, and orphaned children were found everywhere on the streets of Canterlot, only some were lucky enough to be taken to orphanages. Princess Luna proposed to form a new colony, where everypony can grow strong and happy, but Celestia forbade it, in fear of such an action dividing and shattering the weakened kingdom, forever. But Luna decides to carry on with her plan in secret anyway.
