Right now I'm planning on writing a Fanfiction called "Empress Midnight Sparkle." It's basically an alternate reality in which Twilight is rejected from Celestia's School even with the Sonic Rainboom. This sends her into a downward spiral. Does anybody want to hear the summary I came up with?
