Princess Cadance and Shining Armor's marriage was thought to be the happiest in Equestria, one that would last forever. But sadly it will not. Shining Armor lays dying in his bed. A strange illness has afflicted him and he does not have long. Despite warnings by the royal physicians, Cadance must go to see her beloved husband one more time.

In the Applewood Derby, Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash take over the CMC's carts and race them for their own desires. Everyone knows at the end that the girls apologized to each other, the race is done all over again, happy ending. Right? Wrong!

It will take three injured fillies and disqualification for these mares to learn their lesson. Basically an alternate ending where Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash actually get karma for being selfish.

Coming from a world of magical horses and into a world of talking ape things, Sunset misses conversing with her fellow equine. Well she gets the chance when Applejack needs her help with the farm horse, Missy. But it's not what she expected.
