About Amber

Gardens of Equestria

Hi there! I’m Amber Spark! (Formerly known as Novel-Idea). I currently live in Southern California and work for a video game company!

I’ve been writing MLP fanfiction since around 2016 when The Albinocorn inspired me with his magnificent Sunset Shimmer masterpiece, Long Road to Friendship (seriously, you should read it). Before that, I was mostly dabbling in creating cover art for various different authors on FimFic.

While a lot’s changed since I’ve first come here (most of all, me!), the core of my writing remains the same. I adore writing about redemption, hope, the realities of love, and authentic, relatable characters (with the occasional insane story about running for your life against a romantic narrative thrown in for fun). However, my favorite ponies are still Twilight and Sunset (with Moondancer a close second!)

I used to be the Project Lead for The Manehattan Project, the small “game studio” dedicated to creating Gardens of Equestria: This Coming Storm, a DLC-style story-driven mod. Sadly, due to a number of reasons, the project did shut down (though we did come out with two cool mods!)

While it’s been a long time since I really put myself into writing, after EFNW 2021, I found my passion and love for it once again. Like you, I’m often in the dark about what’s going to happen next, but I’m eager to enjoy the journey!

Hope you’ll have fun with me along the way!

The Life and Times of Amber Spark!

    Hello, my long-lost friends!

So, you’re probably wondering what the flipping heck happened to me. After all, the last real post I did, aside from the money stuff and a Hearth’s Warming post, was apparently 82 weeks ago, in September of 2021.

Looking for Some Help With Top/Bottom Surgery!

Hey folks! I know it's been forever and I promise I'll provide an update on where everything is in the near future. But today, I'm gonna ONCE AGAIN ask for financial help. And this one is only for me. I'm not going to use my girls or anything to try and guilt you into helping. Moving on past that BS.

It's Been a While: Another Request for Help

    Hey friends.

Sadly, I'm not here to talk about stories. Life honestly has been too hard to find time or energy to write. I'm dealing with a divorce, trying to get out of Blizzard and into a healthy company, and fighting so hard to work remotely that it took 9 months and a new diagnosis of PTSD to get them to let me have an accommodation under the ADA Guidelines and so much more. Life has been hell.

    Hearth's Warming Thoughts 2021

I know a lot of you have friends and family to be with this holiday. I also know a lot of you are struggling this holiday with (sometimes former) friends and family who refuse to accept you for who you are. I know I am. Some of you are alone in a room, some of you are alone in a crowd. And some of you have people who accept you.

Transformation: Penny, Amber, Albi, G5, and the Nook!

It changed the future… and it changed us. It taught us that we have to create the future, or others would do it for us. It showed us that we have to care for one another, because if we don't, who will? And that true strength sometimes comes from the most unlikely places. Mostly though, I think it gave us hope, that there can always be new beginnings… even for people like us.

Hi Amber how are you tonight?

It's funny that you changed your nick. I searched for a long time until I found it. And yet the author caught my attention. Although I have not read all the works, but my feeling is to say "should not be ignored." I bookmarked it later until I finish the rest. Since for a long time, a lot of stories have accumulated that are waiting to be read.

IDEAL GOD BLESS. God loves you, now and forever! ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ)

Thanks! You too!

I wuv it. Stay cool and safe out there!:heart:

D’awww! Thanks!

I'm sure you do, my dear. My concern, however, is that the site's staff may not share your admiration.

After all, there IS their stigma against roleplaying in the comments, for example.

I like those though!

Well, there's also the discussion forum that a group would have,
which would avoid cluttering up comment sections of either stories or blog posts.

A group? Nope! I always thought groups were for stories by multiple authors. While Little Truths was written by Ebon Quill, that's the only exception to the rule.

Hm, strange. Do you not have a group for your Wavelengths stories?

3044, which is part of Sunset Shimmer's hex code. Maybe? I dunno.

Glad to have you aboard on Positive Ponies, awesome possum!

Admiral Snuggles appreciates your support :rainbowkiss:

If you ever feel down or need anything, feel free to come to me. :raritywink:

Side note: OMG, YOU JOINED!!! 😲💖

If you had to assign your version of Equestria (EDIT: sorry, I meant the Wavelength Equestria as a whole, was a touch fuzzy on that) a number, what would it be? Like on the multiversal scale? I like to get these numbers from the source, as no one else really has that kind of connection to there own world.

How in Luna's name was I not following you? This needs to be corrected.

Thank you! I don't see that really happening, but having it here is a good reminder.
