A Collaborative Story With Tsitra!

The skies of the icy north aren't for the faint of heart. Even the best airship captain must be wary. Anything from savage pirates to wild storms can strike at a moment's notice.

But Blue Venture's not worried. She's sure Lunar Skysong will make it back to her in one piece. She always does.

In Transit is set in the Unity Timeline

Never heard of it. Is there anything else in the "Unity Timeline" or is this the opener?

That... that wasn’t the ending I wanted! That wasn’t it at all!

As Tsitra said (but forgot to ping), the only other story in Unity at present is Stars Above. I have one other close to being done and several others in various stages of construction.

I'm suddenly overcome with the desire to build one of these ships. I have enough legos somewhere around here.......

that is so sad! i hope they get to find one another

“Forgot” aka had trouble with pressing the right button on mobile.

I don't know why you'd ever want to be in Tranzit.

Worst call of duty zombies map ever

What you did there. I see it.

Why does Lunar refer to herself as "we" in her thoughts?

9450806
That’s a really good question!

9450687
Thinks long and hard about potential responses...

They didn't want it either.

My other answer: Good.

Who can say? My vision of Equestria has always been pretty huge, like the size of the United States at a minimum. But it would be sorta similar two crewmen on 17th-century trading ships crossing the Atlantic trying to find one another.

It's not going to be easy, assuming they ever pull it off. :fluttershyouch:

9450806
I still haven't figured that one out... :twilightoops:

I would’ve thought that most major ports of call would have a mail service for transient workers. Somewhere that a letter could be dropped off and then have the recipient pick it up from.. anyway, it was a nice thought

I mean, that comment is about the highest praise I could hope for in this piece.

You're a great writer, but sometimes you're a real sonuvabitch.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

Ohboi, that's this story... cry

I love this comment so much I can't even begin to describe how fantastic it is for me to read it that I've shared it all over and I'm still squeeing! :pinkiehappy:

If you're going to do a sad story... do it right. :fluttershyouch:

Part of the problem is that Blue isn't looking at all. Why would she? Lunar's trying, but with so much travel there's only so much she can do. There are a couple other reasons why, but I'm not telling them yet!

No dislikes yet? I'm impressed.

Heart-stabbingly tragic, and I mean that in the best way. Sadly, five hundred years isn't enough time for Equestria to develop information networks. Or, you know, electronic computers in general. Thus, these two will ping-pong across the world. It's anyone's guess if they'll ever meet, and if Blue will even believe what the eyepatched mare claims.

Well done indeed. Thank you for it.

One of these days, I'm going to make a list of all comments like this in a special secret place where I can giggle like a complete lunatic for hours on end by reading them all over and over again.

Sadly, five hundred years isn't enough time for Equestria to develop information networks. Or, you know, electronic computers in general.

I could go into a long dissertation about the development of modern human technology, necessity is the mother of invention and how easy access to magic stymies the need for ponykind to develop tech as humans do... but that seems a bit much for a comment. There has been technological development in Equestria, but not nearly as much as humanity ever saw. (Also, it's so inconsistent in the show due to rules of comedy, it's hard to even develop a baseline).

Thus, these two will ping-pong across the world. It's anyone's guess if they'll ever meet, and if Blue will even believe what the eyepatched mare claims.

You'll just have to wait and see! :raritywink:

So, question. Since this one was a collab between you two, are the rest of the Unitys going to be published under Novel's account or are these going to be split among other authors? Just wondering if I'm going to have to follow anyone else to stay current with this.

9452235
At present, I don't immediately have plans for other collaborations, so my primary account here should be fine. However, if that changes, I'll definitely post a blog telling you where to go!

With the closing of our main campaign, the universe now rests in my hands. Tsitra is the only one showing any interest in continuing the adventures of these characters at the moment and we're using my account because I have a bit more of a following for now. :pinkiehappy:
