Fluttershy was out of Ponyville for a couple days, to deal with Starlight Glimmer's weird cutie mark Nazi village, and when she gets back she finds a surprising turn of events.

Discord has made a new friend... all by himself!!!

At first Fluttershy is happy and proud of Discord, but soon she starts getting a funny feeling in her chest. As Discord spends more and more time with his new friend the feeling only gets stronger.

Could Fluttershy?

Could she be?

Jealous?

Impossible Fluttershy doesn't have a reason to be jealous after all this new pony is nice and wants to be friends with Discord, and Fluttershy has always wanted Discord to make more friends and for other ponies to treat him kindly.

So why does this pony make her feel this way?

Could the fact that it's a Mare have anything to do with it?

Things take a turn when it appears that Discords new friend might be more then she appears to be.

Life can be weird sometimes. Fate has plans for us, and we never know those plans.
Same goes for Alex. After some tragic events, he finds himself in a foreign world without any plans for the future. Maybe something can help him out...
And that something is Music.

There are many different kinds of immortality. Some achieve immortality through great deeds of heroism. Some do it by discovering a spell custom-made to kick Death in the teeth. There are a select few who are immortal simply because they consistently avoid dying.

But perhaps the rarest breed of immortal is the one who escapes death by dying so suddenly that they come back to life.

The phoenix is one such immortal, and Philomena is one such firebird. But for all the time that she spends in the company of alicorns, Philomena rarely thinks of herself as immortal or ageless. When one defines the passage of time by one's death, immortality can be a difficult label to wear.

But life has a way of reminding us of our labels. Sometimes it uses traumatic events. Sometimes it takes the form of a blessing nobody else can enjoy. And once in a very rare while, life makes us fall in love with somebody we can never stay with.

It's been three weeks since Octavia's smash hit, I am Octavia, and while the cellist's career is on a high note, that's about the only thing that is. Vinyl and Octavia are a complete wreck without each other, but repairing such damage to a relationship isn't easy, nor is it always possible. This is my answer (even though I know it's already been done here) to the question on everypony's mind:

Will Vinyl and Octavia be friends again?

Octavia and Caramel have been happily married for fifteen years. Or have they?
A year after their marriage, Caramel started working all the time. It was a very rare thing for them to see each other, so as a result, Octavia became unhappy.
After four years of this, Octavia finally told Caramel how she felt, and he snapped.
Caramel became insanely clingy, Caramel would never leave Octavia alone, and when she tried to go out with her friends or tell him to stop, he would sob and emotionally abuse her. So as a result she gave up on love.

Years later, Octavia gets a new job where she meets, Lyra, Bon Bon, and her boss Vinyl Scratch. As she learns about these new friends and grow closer and closer to them, she starts to fall in love with Vinyl.

Will Vinyl feel the same?
If she does how will Octavia keep their relationship hidden?
Will Octavia finally get a divorce with Caramel?
And if Caramel ever learned that Octavia loved somepony else, how will he react?

Love is a powerful emotion, but even love has it's limits.

Vinyl and Octavia are as close as can be. Sure you can look past each other's flaws and see the beauty in each other just the way you are. But what if that flaw is too much to look past? The wild, alcoholic party tendencies Vinyl tends to exude may push the limit, but with not one ounce of responsibility to back her up, not to mention the countless broken promises and childlike actions stacking up on a daily basis, Octavia has had enough.

Now Vinyl, a mare deeply rooted in living in the moment, forgetful, and irresponsible, must grow to understand a harsher reality without love, and learn to appreciate the world more so than she did before.

Adjutant was a former high-ranking changeling under Chrysalis, and now runs a changeling colony in the Everfree Forest under the auspices of Princess Twilight Sparkle. Anyone, changeling or pony, would be lucky to have the attention of a changeling of her status, so why does the only one she desires spurn her attentions?

Surely they can put aside their differences to reach a convenient arrangement?

This a side story that takes place after Spectre of the Past, though it's intended to stand by itself.
