This story is a sequel to In the Shadow of the Sun
All Ace Gambit, changeling extraordinaire, ever wanted was a nice, quiet life where he could make friends, practice magic, and perhaps even find love one day. Fate, however, had other plans involving a vicious anti-changeling conspiracy. Will Ace and his friends find a place in Equestria, or will they be forced to live as outcasts once again?
This story is set after In the Shadow of the Sun, but is intended to stand by itself.

I see that confiscating all those dark artifacts from House Argent seems to be biting them in their collective flanks cause the description of that horn sounds like Sombra's horn, which if I recall correctly, was used as a weapon by Dive Bomb during the raid on Chrysallis' hive.

Hmm, when Stiletto and Deadwood mentioned Ace's change in behavior, I realized that he hasn't done the 'Go go Gadget' routine lately. Guess it's hard to stay happy with that stuff happening to you and your friends.
Also, I guess the reason Thunderball invited Stiletto over to Ponyville but didn't give her an official order was because it would violate the law imposed on House Argent.
Also, they're scared of fish? Is it the whole vegetarian thing or was it just so you could do that 'sleep with the fishes' bit?

Hah, I was right about Blueblood...though I guess everyone else saw that coming as well. At least Siegfried wasn't brutally murdered, that's a good thing.

It might get touched on, but there won't be any changeling daughters of Shining Armor running around. (Though there is at least one good fic with that premise should you be interested. I believe it is called The Foal in the Basket.)
