Chapter 74: Attack on the Rainbow Rocket Carrier! (Part 1)

Several fleets of powerboats from the Aqua/Magma base began to surround the Team Rainbow Rocket Carrier from several knots away, "Alright you guys, this is as close as we can get without being detected by Rainbow Rocket," Tabatha said, as Will, the Mane Six, the Royal Sisters, the Crystal Couple, and Silver Spoon were gearing up to go find Toby.

"So, how do we get in close?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well, the entrance at the top of the carrier isn't the only way in. There's a dock located near the water line. You can infiltrate the carrier from there. Do you have the devices that Colress gave you?" Tabatha asked.

"I made doubly sure not to leave without it!" Twilight proclaimed.

"Good. Just remember, once you're all inside, you're on your own," Tabatha said, as they boarded some small, inflatable rafts with motors, "This is Tabatha, calling Shelly, Matt, and Courtney, do you read me? My team is ready for the mission," Tabatha asked, talking into a communicator.

"This is Shelly, checking in. The Louds and the younger six are ready," Shelly said over the communicator.

"Matt here. The Bandit Star Pirates and Trial Captains are all ready," Matt added.

"Courtney here. The rest of the kids are also ready," Courtney said.

On Shelly's boat,

"Remember guys, we need to prioritize stealth, and not battle EVERY grunt we see. Our objective is the Dark Core," Lincoln stated.

"Right. We need to get into a vent as soon as we possibly can. Lucy, you and Lisa will be leading the way for us," Lori said.

"Right. I have the cloaking mechanism Colress gave me, as well as a device to guide us to the Core," Lisa said, giving a remote shaped device to Lucy, "Will you be able to handle it?"

"I may have you hold onto it. I'm not too sure how to work that thing. I might end up wiping out what we need," Lucy replied.

"Very well, but you have more experience with going through vents, so you should go first," Lisa replied, as they all got on the rafts.

On Matt's Boat,

"Alright, we should probably try taking down the carrier from the inside out, while all of Team Rainbow Rocket is preoccupied with Team Aqua, Magma, and ex-Plasma," Nico suggested.

"A good call. But we need to be tactful about it. They're all really strong," Sophocles replied.

"Either way, the way things stand, Team Rainbow Rocket must not be allowed to succeed," Kiawe stated, as they got on the rafts.

On Courtney's Boat,

"Alright guys, remember, we're doing this not only for Toby, but for the entire world as well," Nathan said.

"Let's hope we can find him quickly," Josh commented.

"Yeah. But maybe we should also try destroying the carrier from inside? It would make sinking it easier," Kelly suggested.

"Maybe, but for now, just focus on the mission," Cory said, as they boarded the rafts.

"Alright kids, activate the devices, and move out," Courtney said. Kelly, Mike, and Cory all activated the devices, and they suddenly disappeared.

"Is it on?" Crystal asked.

"It is. Good luck out there," Courtney said, as they all took off for the carrier harbor. They were all extremely nervous, getting so close to the enemy base, even with the cloaking devices.

After about fifteen or so minutes, they arrived at the harbor, just as the others arrived as well. They all merged into on big cloaking field, "Alright, we're in," Will said, with a communicator.

"Roger that. We'll commence the attack in about five minutes," Tabatha replied. The Louds, and the Beings of Harmony all located a vent rather quickly. Lucy then broke it off, and set it to the side.

"Alright, here we go," Lucy said, as she went first, followed by Lisa, then Lincoln, and so on.

"Let's hope they can do it," Rarity commented.

"Are we going to start searching, or what?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"We need to wait until the attack begins, and all of Team Rainbow Rocket's attention is drawn off," Will replied. Eventually, explosions could be heard, and the alarms went off, "And that's our cue!" Will said, as they all ran into separate hallways, still carrying the cloaking devices to avoid setting off the sensors. They saw large groups of Team Rainbow Rocket grunts heading outside.

"Looks like they weren't kidding about the full scale attack," Applejack commented, as they rounded another corner, only to encounter a trio, dressed in space aged suits. One was a red headed woman with a large, skirt like suit, the second had purple hair, done up in bobs, and the third was a man with blue, crescent shaped hairstyle.

"You can come out of hiding now," the man said. The group then deactivated the devices.

"How did you know, Saturn?" Will asked in disgust.

"You know these guys?" Cadence asked.

"Yeah. They're admins of Team Galactic. Their codenames are Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn," Will replied.

"Now now, is that any way to greet your old friends? After all, we have battled quite a lot in Sinnoh," the red haired woman said.

"You mean how you were using the power of the Lake Trio, as well as Dialga and Palkia to destroy this world?!" Will exclaimed.

"It matters not. If we can't create a new universe, then we can simply just take over this world and shape it into our ideals," the purple haired woman said.

"Why you...." Will seethed, only to be stopped by Celestia.

"Will, leave this to me, Luna, and Candy," she said, as she, Princess Luna, and Cadence all stepped forth.

"Are you sure you can handle these three? They were strong even before becoming a part of Team Rainbow Rocket," Will warned.

"You don't need to worry about us. Just find Toby!" Princess Luna demanded.

"They can take care of themselves. Besides, remember, they're just trying to stall for time while the Louds upload that virus thing," Twilight whispered to Will.

"Well, alright. Good luck!" Will said, as the rest of them took off down another corridor.

"Stop right there!" Saturn exclaimed, trying to go after them, only to be stopped by a large, yellow lizard like Pokemon with axe like tusks.

"Don't worry about them. We'll be your opponents," Celestia said, as her sister and niece sent out a Gigalith and a Machamp, respectively.

"Alright. Taking your Pokemon should teach you not to get in the way of our global conquest. Jupiter! Saturn!" Mars said to the other two. The three of them sent out their Pokemon, who were all under the influence of the Dark Ball. Mars sent out a pudgy cat Pokemon using it's tail as a waistband, Jupiter sent out a skunk like Pokemon, while Saturn sent out a Toxicroak.

Meanwhile, with the Louds,

".... Now, we should take this next right, and we should be directly above the room of the Dark Core," Lisa said, as she followed her gloomy sister, who lead the large group.

"I see a vent up ahead!" Lucy quietly said.

"Lucy said she found it," Lisa told Lincoln, who passed it along to Lori, and then so on down the line. Lucy then came up to the vent. Peering in, she saw that no one was inside. She tried to undo the vent, but it was stuck on too tight.

"No good. We're going to need Lynn to break it down," Lucy said to Lisa.

"We're moving ahead to get Lynn to break open the vent," Lisa told Lincoln, who then informed the rest of the group. One by one, the line continued to move forward, until Lynn was in position. Using her elbow, Lynn effortlessly smashed off the vent, and dropped down into the lab. The siblings who all went ahead backed up, and fell down into the lab, allowing them to catch the younger and smaller members of the group. Lincoln looked around, seeing only three entrances.

"Alright Lisa, can you handle administering the virus?" Lincoln asked. Lisa then took out the USB.

"Worry not. I just need to find the appropriate port," Lisa said, looking around the main computer. Looking up, she was slack jawed, "Oh..... my," Lisa said.

"What is...." Lori cut herself off when she and the others saw what Lisa was looking at. A massive, black orb was being held by a big machine. Purple sparks flew off.

"Look there!" Trinity exclaimed, pointing to another part of the room. Out from a machine, Dark Balls were being transferred down on a conveyor belt, into the next room.

"Dark Balls! They must've made thousands of them!" Luna Loud commented.

"We shouldn't waste any more time then. Lisa, the virus?" Lincoln said.

"Oh, right!" Lisa said, as she got up onto the main terminal, and inserted the USB into a USB port. A screen showed up, displaying a download progress popup, "Alright, we have about twenty minutes, and need to defend this room while the virus is getting uploaded," Lisa declared.

"Let's use any Pokemon that can use Fire, Water, and Ice Type attacks to create barricades. Look for any possible entrances, and block them off!" Lincoln declared. The group broke off and began to create barricades.

"Frillish, use Water Gun!" Lola said. Frillish then blasted a door with water.

"Alright Mr. Mime, use Ice Beam to freeze that door solid!" Luan instructed. Mr. Mime then fired Ice Beam at the wet door, which froze it instantly.

"Houndour, use Flamethrower and weld this door shut!" Luna instructed. Houndour then began to use Flamethrower on the door, which welded it shut.

"Alright, we should use whatever heavy objects we can find to barricade this door! We'll need an escape route," Lincoln suggested.

"Good call," Lori said, as they all began to shove large, heavy boxes in front of the door. They did so until they thought there was enough to weigh down the door.

"Alright, now we have to wait," Lisa stated.

"Does my hair look ok?" Leni asked.

"Of course it does, but I think this is hardly the time for worrying about our hair," Charity replied.

"Why do you ask?" Lori asked.

"There's a TV camera up there, and I want to look good!" Leni replied, pointing to a camera.

"That's not a TV camera, Leni. It's a security one. The engineers of Team Rainbow Rocket must've installed it when this carrier got built," Lincoln theorized.

"It won't see us, will it?" Lana Loud asked.

"Negative. Our presence in this room will not make the Rainbow Rockets aware of us. Not unless one of us disables the cloaking devices or steps outside of the cloaking field. So, as long as no one does anything stupid, like taunting into the camera, we should be good," Lisa replied. She then noticed Lynn was not among the group. She looked around, as saw that Lynn was outside of the cloaking field, making rude gestures at the camera.

"How do you like us now?! We're taking down you're Dark Core, and there's nothing you can do to stop us!" Lynn jeered, only to be tackled by some of her sisters.

"Lynn, are you that stupid?!" Lori exclaimed.

"We're still working with stealth! We can't afford to have any mistakes!" Lisa added.

"Ah, what's the harm in a little taunting? It's not like they could get in anyhow," Lynn Jr. replied, not sounding the slightest bit worried.

"Just be glad that the cloaking device that Colress gave us is still functioning properly!" Lincoln scolded, only for Lynn to ignore him.

Meanwhile, in a surveillance room,

"The North Sector is under heavy fire! Send some Pokemon to deal with the pests!" a Team Rocket Grunt said into a communicator. He then noticed something in on the monitors, namely in the Dark Core room. Lynn Jr was making all kinds of rude gestures into the camera before getting tackled by her sisters, "Oh no. A group of intruders are in the Dark Core room!" he yelled to Professor Nanba, who was conversing with some other scientists.

"I don't know what those brats are doing in that room, but we can't afford to let them do anything to the Dark Core! Busujima! Get to the Dark Core and drive them out!" Nanba ordered.

"At once, Professor," Busujima droned, as he walked out of the room.

"How are things with Toby?" an elderly man with a Team Galactic crest on his lab coat asked. He had a balding patch of pale, lavender hair, and was hunched over.

"He's currently engaging a group of kids in combat," the Rocket Grunt replied, looking at the monitor.

Meanwhile, with the Equestria kids,

The kids were all running down a hallway, desperately searching for their friend, "Where could he be?!" Kelly exclaimed.

"He has to be around here somewhere!" Mike added, as they entered a massive room.

"Why do Ah have the feelin' this is like a Boss area?" Nathan wondered. His question was soon answered, as Toby was raised from the floor. Much like Busujima, he had a vacant look in his eyes.

"Toby!" Melody exclaimed. happily.

"Man, we've been running ourselves ragged trying to find you!" Josh added. Neither of them got a response from Toby.

"Well, now that we found you, we need ta git goin'!" Nathan said, only for the doors to shut behind them, and lock.

"Intruders detected. Engaging intruders in battle, for the glory of Team Rainbow Rocket," Toby said, his tone being robotic.

"Toby?! What are you saying?!" Clover exclaimed. She got an answer, as Toby tossed six Dark Balls, which released all of his current Pokemon, who were all influenced by the Dark Ball.

"Something's not right. That suit he's wearing must be the cause of it!" Connor commented.

"Guess we have no other choice. We have to battle him!" Crystal said, as they all released their Pokemon.

"Commence the attack! Show no mercy!" Toby said, as his corrupted Pokemon went on the attack, mercilessly attacking each of the kid's Pokemon, "Proceeding with Pokemon Capture sequence," Toby said, as turrets began launching Dark Balls at each defeated Pokemon, before sending them through a chute.

"No! Our Pokemon!" Cory exclaimed.

"Initiate restraint protocols," Toby said. More turrets began shooting nets at the kids, trapping them, "Intruders have been restrained. Proceeding to hunt down the rest of the intruders," Toby said, as he marched out of the room like a robot, leaving his friends on the ground, bound and helpless.
