Ask your doctor about The Diamond Exchange. The Diamond Exchange is not for everypony. Side effects may include leaving a thumbs up, favoriting the story and leaving comments. In rare but serious cases, a small number of readers have been known to watch the author and recommend the story to other readers. Severe health risks may occur as a result of leaving a thumbs down; the most common being Lyra eating your hands.

Critics can’t stop talking about The Diamond Exchange! But since they charge for their reviews, I’ll just post these that I made up instead.

“The Diamond Exchange kept me sitting in the center of my seat.” – Maud Pie.

“The ending left me more speechless than The Last Roundup.” – Derpy Hooves after accidentally reading the final chapter first.

“I guarantee that you’ll like The Diamond Exchange almost as much as everypony likes me. Almost.” – Flash Sentry with a wink and that obnoxious tongue click sound thing.

“Yes... Crystals...” – King Sombra.

“How long is this thing supposed to be?” – Rainbow Dash

“That’s what she said!” – Pinkie Pie

“Unrequited love! Same sex pairings! Melodrama! My royal eyes have touched common fan fiction!” – Prince Blueblood

“It’s... nice.” – Fluttershy

“The lack of realism in the relationship between Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon (as seen in The Diamond Exchange) is a minor but noticeable flaw that could easily be remedied by the inclusion of some steamy love scenes depicting the raw, unbridled passion that these two have for one another. That would be, like, so hot. Did... Did I say hot? I-I meant realistic. That would be very... realistic. You’re not going to quote me on that, are you? You are? Oh. Well, in that case, I wish to remain anonymous.” – S.S.

An emotionally devastated and homeless Sunset seeks shelter in one of the most scariest and most avoided areas in Canterlot during a winter storm, Hillhurst Manor on the edge of the Everfree Forest. At least all of those stories of monsters are just because humans fear the dark and avoid what they don’t understand, right? Maybe not, and now because of a careless wish made during distress, Sunset is stuck having to return creatures from a comic series back to the pages they spawned from before the wish can be broken. At least she will have allies, even if they were the least expected as well as becoming part of a very unconventional family.

Everypony strives for perfection, and the current de-Lis matriarch has it in abundance.

As an aristocrat, Fleur has everything anypony would ever want: money, stability and a wonderful family. Outside of basic court duties and mandatory meetings with other members of the nobility, her life is incredibly easy when viewed from the eyes of an outsider. Yet, as the time to renew her marriage vows draws closer, Fleur begins to feel existential disdain. A sense of dread fills her soul, and a melancholy settles over her-- not that anypony would know; after all, a vow-renewal is quite a stressful thing to plan.

She has never loved her husband, that much has always been clear. They both know why. At least they're friendly to each other. They have a child. Vows should be simple.

When Rarity comes to visit to help Fleur tailor her wedding dress, things come to a head as she realizes where her turmoil really lies.

A Twin Canterlots story—first in the Brass Ring series

If it had been just the prosthetic right arm, Rose Brass might have been certified fit for duty—but when the docs also concluded her left eye couldn’t be saved, that was that. The army captain found herself down-checked and retired to the permanent disability list. Without any other direction, she moved back to the city where she’d grown up. "To answer your question, no, they are in critical condition. Despite our best efforts, we expect that in less than forty-eight hours their body temperature will drop to a level that’s incompatible with life."

After Sunny Starscout and her friends restored magic and united the pony tribes once more, roads were built between the cities and a treaty was signed proclaiming a union between the three tribes, granting the right to all ponies to freely move and live in whichever part of the fledgling Equestrian Union they wanted.

The resulting economic and population boom forced the newly-forged nation to glance outwards at the massive stretches of unclaimed land that laid at their hooves. Soon teams of pegasus pioneers ventured outside the borders to broaden their horizons.

All seemed well, until one day a team arrived home in distress from their northward journey. Their rapidly-weakening bodies were covered in frost that didn't seem to melt, even though it was the middle of summer. None of them could give a good explanation what happened, other than that they experienced something terrible up north. Fearing the worst, the government decided that further investigation is necessary into this concerning phenomenon and there is only one group of ponies, who can fulfill this task.
