I've has an idea come along that I am trying to wedge into the chapter but I need to figure out the logistics regarding how it meshes with the rest of the story in the long term. If I commit to this and it doesn't work, it's going to suck. And since I don't want my story to suck, I need to work on it a bit longer. The results will speak for themselves. Sorry for the lack of updates on how the story's coming along. With days growing shorter and my seasonal affective disorder kicking in, I'll be hermiting myself away at home after work during the autumn months and getting more writing done.

The newest chapter (titled Monstrosity) will be posted some time between next week and Christmas. I have been given 72 hours away from the daily grind to work on editing this bad girl and I intend to use them. Hope your holiday is a pleasant one.

Holy shnikes! Chantal Strand and Shannon Chan-Kent are scheduled to make an appearance at Everfree Northwest 2016!!! I can't remember the last time I was this excited! I'm going to save every penny to get a hotel room and merch for them to sign! Somepony pinch me! Oh, wait, no fingers. Somepony bite me! Actually, that could end badly so never mind.

With the introduction of new categories, I've changed things up a bit for The Diamond Exchange (although I still feel very strongly about the need for a black comedy category) While not every chapter of it is sad, there aren't enough comedic scenes in it to place it in the Comedy category. Drama, however, is quite plentiful and I feel that enough simple interactions happen within the story to keep the Slice Of Life category tag around.

In the original short story, the lone chapter ended very strangely... and rather stupidly. It made no sense. Luna wasn't present in the throne room at first. She came in to delivery the chest containing the antique tiara. Also, there was no conspiracy theory revealed by Diamond Tiara. The movie consent, tickling, hairgasm, stallion salute, and the reveal that Luna was the publisher of SubPlot were also elements that didn't happen. Finally, the actual ending was very Looney Tunes.
