Whilst on her own, Scootaloo decides to help Fluttershy tend to her animals in the hopes of getting an 'animal helper' cutie mark.

But things take a turn for the worse when Fluttershy's chickens simply won't leave her alone, believing Scootaloo to be the re-incarneted chicken goddess.

Novel Tale is an author that's been living in Canterlot for about ten years now. That's a pretty good track record for a changeling. He's even included a changeling character in his latest book, and his fans have been loving his take on such an obscure mythological creature, especially his biggest fan, Twilight Sparkle. Things are looking up!

Then an army of changelings from another hive attacks Canterlot.

Now all of ponykind knows that changelings are real, and his readers are sure to realize that the changeling in his book was too similar to the real thing to have just been based on a myth...

Sequel to my fic “Sombra’s Crucible, Twilight’s Corruption.” Reading it may be helpful (and appreciated!). Do note, however, that the styles and themes are quite different.

After being brainwashed into serving King Sombra, Twilight Sparkle was able to break free with the help of her friends and family. She then dueled Sombra himself in a world of nightmares to buy her friends time to activate the Crystal Heart. Though her gambit succeeded, Sombra cursed her by implanting a fragment of himself in her mind.

Now she has the voice of the Black King himself in her head, able to listen to her innermost thoughts and pierce all her mental defenses. But something seems different about this voice in her mind... as time grows on, his mind becomes more entangled with Twilight’s, and he starts to feel everything she feels… including some feelings he may have never felt as the Black King…

So many close calls, so many potential hesitations, so many things that Twilight and Spike could have done differently, and they'd have failed. With M.E.G.A.S stuck in a new civilization to screw up, how will the ponies cope with the mayhem? Princess Twilight will certainly need the help of all her friends to watch over the human visitor who consumes all before him. Not to mention a red headed woman claiming to be the last human resistance soldier. At least the skinny jerk doesn't pose much of a threat, right?

If you haven't seen the show, this will still make some sense, but you should go watch it. If you don't like giant robots and screaming awesome then shame on you.
