The timeline for “My Little Pony” is messed up. That is, if you look closely, the order of the shows as aired is out of order of their logical sequence. Evidence: in Swarm of the Century (#10) we see the dresses that Rarity makes in Suited for Success (#14) — so unless Rarity time-travelled, #14 should take place before #10! Also, in The Ticket Master (#3), the other five seem to know Twilight and Spike quite well, yet in Boast Busters (#6) they don’t seem to know Twilight at all.

With careful attention to details such as those, you can put the three years of episodes prior to Princess Twilight Sparkle (#65, Season Four) into a two-year stretch of time. If you work hard enough, you can even squeeze them down to one five-season stretch of Summer to Summer.

I used the two-year seven-part timeline mapped out by deviantart’s tobyandmavisforever (do a Google search for “tobyandmavisforever mlp timeline” as the fastest way to find them). Thus, Harry arrives in Equestria shortly after the Crystal Empire two-part episode, and Twilight and Spike have been in Ponyville just under a year even though the Crystal Empire episodes start the third year of My Little Pony.

The door of the Chamber of Secrets is just ahead, and Harry Potter has no clue what kind of changes will unfold once he passes it. Monsters will become friends, friends will become monsters, and Hogwarts itself will change completely.

"Ahem." I had no clue what to say. This was the story of my life I had to introduce, and no one told me how it ends. "Well, I guess since we're all here we might as well enjoy this. It's a bit of a rocky start, I think, but there's a good bit right at the—

"I'll be honest. I have no clue if there are any good bits in it. Be my guest, though. It's not like you have to fight ancient monsters and dangerous wizards alone."

As he adjusts to his new life, Eric and his new friends must find the legendary Locket of Prophecies in order to defeat a dark force bent on bringing eternal winter to Equestria.

However, Discord has a mission to make sure that Equis will not be lost while he has a say. Taking three souls from Earth and main six on an adventure through a magical school of Hogwarts.

Through his early life, Harry Potter wasn't even sure what his name was. And once he was sure, he shortly became sure it was wrong- that there was something very, very different about him.

He never told the Dursleys. Just like he never told them the friend he made at school was magical. Then of course, right when Hogwarts was getting ready to address first-year letters, the pulse of magic it generated to build the list of potential first-years met with Harry's determination, and that of a few others, and gave them some very unique opportunities to change their situations.

This story is actually a rewrite, believe it or not. The original version was a straight-up girl-harry story, and HP-only, so it never reached this site. It got stuck after just a few chapters, and has sat for months on "writer's block". And then, I got this idea, which made it into a crossover- and I believe it is a unique twist in the world of HP/MLP crossovers.

And if you're wondering why it was published with two chapters, that's because there are no ponies in chapter one. It went live with the first chapter on my Patreon, where my patrons have early access to future chapters.

Note that, even though I expect many of the same OCs to appear, this story is NOT connected to my other HP/MLP crossover, On the Implications of Parallel Worlds, in any way.
