Twilight's magical experiments are commonplace enough, but she's refrained from testing on living things for several reasons. And, from that cadre, she picks a very significant other. Now, subjected to a spell that does more than he could've predicted, Icarus is forced to see the world in a vastly different light.

During a last ditch effort to defeat your enemy you receive a grievous wound to your already tired and withered out body, which caused your body to turn to stone. Where your body would repair itself and recover your lost energy. However it's been centuries since the war, the world and people you had once known and loved has faded into history along with your existence, but the world has gone too long without you and it's about time you return.

Davril Longfang thought he’d finally got it made, one final contract that would fill his pockets with so much coin he’d be able to retire from the often dangerous job of being a professional thief.

A contract to steal something very powerful from a cruel ruler in a faraway land beyond Cyrium.

Now, stuck in a completely new world with its own problems and internal conflicts. Davril has to fit in with the locals whilst at the same time trying to fulfill the contract given to him by the stranger.
