Looking back helps us remember how far we've come, and sometimes it even points our way forward.

A quick little love story to get us all ready for Valentines Day

Living in Equestria under a false name and racial identity is one thing. Finding out you're not the only one of your kind stranded here is another... especially when that someone and the element bearers are looking for you.

Being my first attempt at a first-person romantic comedy, this takes a slightly different approach to the concept of being a human stranded in Equestria.

Anon's not your typical adventurer, actually, quite the opposite. He's pompous, arrogant, hateful even cruel, but he gets the job done. After taking a stop at Ponyville he begins an adventure that doesn't go as planned.

Sex only goes for the non-descriptive scenes in the first chapter.

You're a stallion in your mid twenties, and your life never really started after you got out of school. You live with your overbearing mother, rarely venturing outside while the sun shines bright. Your social life is absolutely nonexistent aside from lectures from mom; not to mention you've also become quite the slob. And the more it all goes on, the less you seem to care.

One day, your mother tells you that you're going to be moving to a small country town, further inland even than Detrot. As antisocial as you are, this is just bound to go wrong.

You can feel it.

Let's just say your luck with the mares isn't all that great, two months in Ponyville and you've had your heart stomped on more times than you can count. That coupled with the fact you've lost your job, your house, and have barely enough bits to feed yourself means your life isn't exactly going so great. And after another botched attempt at a relationship you're ready to swear off of the whole dating game for good.
But after a night of drunken debauchery you awaken to find yourself in the service of Ponyville's premiere fashionista, you're willing to forget your previous pledge to the single life after she proves herself to be the kindest and most generous pony you've ever met, but only time will tell if she'll be your future lover or the next in line of a long list of mare's who you'd rather forget.

A young man trapped alone in an alien land with only his wits and his faith as company. Can he keep the darkness growing in the crumbling remains of his former home from causing disaster?

And who the heck decided it would be a good idea to throw in talking, pastel, ponies!?
