Cheerilee decided that she would allow each pony in her class to choose what the nature of their homework should be. That was her first mistake.
The second was to think that Scootaloo was serious.

A vengeful demon steals Starswirl the Bearded from his pleasant afterlife and shoves his spirit in a book.
Starswirl is secretly elated by this.
Not so much once he meets the pony he'll be staying with for the indefinite future.

There’s nothing like getting lost in a good book. Unless of course you’re quite literally lost in a good book with your only chance of escape hinging on a finicky fairy, in which case I’d imagine there’s nothing like that either. It’s times like these, when I’m tied to a stone slab, about to be sacrificed to fulfill a prophecy and bring about the end times, that I wonder about things: like, what have I done with my life? Why would Twilight even have this book in her library? I wonder what fairies taste like and how I should prepare them when I inevitably cook mine up and eat him?
I don't think this day could get worse.
This is Ⓑⓤⓣⓣⓞⓝ Ⓜⓐⓢⓗ: Ⓣⓗⓔ Ⓖⓐⓜⓔ. The world's first-ever RPG/FPS/MMO/MOBA/RTS/TBS, now on Joy Boys near you.
You are Button Mash. You have just woken up. You are also playing a video game, because when are you not playing a video game? Hopefully you can make it downstairs. Breakfast is starting.
"I don't even play video games! I don't know what you want from me!"
- Princess Twilight Sparkle.
"Button, that's very nice, but I'm trying to balance on this ladder right now, and if you keep distracting me, I'm going to—"
- Mom.
"Is this fanfiction about yourself?"
- Sweetie Belle.
"This was the worst game I've ever played. It should be used as a weed-killer, because that way it would have a reason to exist. 9/10."
- Spike the Dragon

Sonata Dusk is kinda confused. Sure, she and the other Sirens were defeated at their own game and left powerless, homeless, and hungry, but Adagio and Aria are taking this whole thing, like, WAY too seriously.
Only one thing is absolutely, positively guaranteed to cheer them up.
It's time for a taco run!
Now with 20% more Feels!
Also now with a TVTropes page (apparently)!
A changeling who has lived at the side of an Equestrian mare for most of his life finds himself in the middle of the changeling invasion of Canterlot. He has no idea who the invading queen or hive are, and just wants to stay where he is, and more importantly, who he is.
The spell that ends the invasion doesn't discriminate, though. With his old pony form irreversibly stripped away, and the whole kingdom out to hunt his kind, he tries to keep his family together, and struggles to find his place in the world.
Please comment! Even now, I'd love to hear what people think as they read through

Most of the time, Applejack is honest. A lot of times, she's a dependable pony.
Then, sometimes, she's full of militant squirrels piloting her in a war with the Chipmunk Confederacy over a sacred acorn.
When Diamond Tiara is accused of stealing lunch money from Dinky Doo, she is put on trial by her class. Apple Bloom, who believes Diamond Tiara to be innocent, takes the stand to defend her.
Applejack has brushed her mane, put a ribbon on her hat, and there's a sway in her step. Most ponies just want to know who the special pony is.
Rainbow Dash doesn't buy it. Love is mushy, and AJ isn't mushy. Love means liking somepony more than her friends, and AJ would never like another pony more than Dash. Love means missing a game of horseshoes to go tell a pony that she's in love with them, and if there is one thing Dash is sure of, it's that AJ is not going to miss that game... no matter what Applejack thinks about it.
