Princess Celestia, the fair ruler of all Equestria, has fallen under the control of a dark force, and has begun a rule of tyranny over her subjects. Using her powerful magic, whatever it is controlling Celestia has enslaved most of Equestria, turning once-upstanding Royal Guards into dark enforcers of her reign.

Not even the Elements of Harmony can stand up to this overwhelming power alone. It falls upon Celestia's own sister, the Princess of the Moon, Luna, to stop her sister once and for all. A year after Discord's defeat, Equestria is still haunted by memories of the chaos spirit. For Vinyl Scratch, that haunting might be literal

One normal day in Ponyville a strange earth pony stumbles into town, muttering something about a disease and his family. When the Royal Guard goes out to investigate, they find a mare and filly long dead from a strange disease. They take the now three dead ponies back to Canterlot to investigate. Within two weeks almost every pony in Canterlot is dead, and ponies everywhere else are dying.
After a month, the few survivors gather in Ponyville and look for leaders. Two come forth. Princess Luna, who encourages a new refuge to be built in the mountains to the North. The other is a renewed-but also weak-Discord, who calls forth allies to help him rule Equestria with chaos.

Winter is approaching in Ponyville, and all Rarity wants to do is work on her new winter garments, enjoy the holiday festivities and maybe even catch a chance alone with the pegasus she cares for most. That was before that day in early December when everything in Ponyville changed. Now it's a question of who a pony can trust, and who they can't.

This story will be about my adventures in PonyVille. Feel free to criticize all you want. I need to learn.
