It had been so many years since Lightning Dust was kicked out of the Wonderbolt Academy. She never thought much about those days, nor of Rainbow Dash. Upon meeting again after so many years, Rainbow wants to know what Lighting Dust has been up to.

And so she tells her. She tells her about the parents that washed their hooves of her. About the stallion who became a real father. About the dream she was able to fulfill. And the family she came to love.

This is her story from nothing to something.

Lightning Dust has been in a bit of a rut ever since getting kicked out of the Wonderbolt Academy. Day after day, she's been sticking to a strict exercise regimen under the guidance of Cloudsdale's premier personal trainer, Haymaker. Her hope is that she'll unlock her true potential and show Haymaker how awesome she is, thus prompting him to use his connections to get her back into the Wonderbolts. No matter how many times Haymaker tells her it's impossible, Lightning simply refuses to listen.

Then one fateful night, Lightning Dust's training is interrupted by the appearance of her greatest idol, Wind Rider. It turns out he too has difficulty accepting reality, and he has his own, more nefarious schemes to get himself back in the game. Haymaker sees this as his last chance to save Lightning Dust from walking Wind Rider's path. And if that means rubbing salt in a few wounds and shattering a few dreams, then so be it.

For many years explorer ponies have been out of a job. But one day a wounded pegasus stumbles into Ponyville and tells Twilight Velvet tales of a land unknown to all of ponykind. Word travels quickly and the Explorers Guild of Canterlot is sent out on their first mission in over year. What will this group find in this new, un-explored land? It is said that curiosity killed the cat, could that be true for a pony?

After being marooned on an icy world in unexplored space, Lumina must now face the perils of this frozen wasteland and search for some way home. But in this dark place, she discovers something that was lost to pony kind ever since the fabled Equestria sank into the ocean over 10,000 years ago. Something that will change her, and possibly the entire galaxy, forever.

Not a cross over, and not an alternate universe. This is the far future, and this has happened before.

Twilight was always fated to be the savior of Equestria, along with her friends. But fate can be so easily altered. The Black Knight, an ancient myth with many rumors surrounding it. Some claim he was trained by Nightmare Moon herself as her most powerful servant, others say he is human super soldier created to slay Princess Celestia, some even speak of him as a personification of death. Nevertheless, many ponies have reported sightings of this being throughout history, most of which never amounted to anything.

However, only several months after the return of Nightmare Moon, the fabled knight shows up at the doorsteps of Canterlot Castle for reasons unknown.

And the ponies of Equestria soon discover that the myths associated with him could not be any more wrong...

I know you all have seen your fair shair of Alt-universes, starring a different main six. I know this, but I couldn't get the thought of trying my own hand in the concept.

Everything must come to an end. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad. When they came, that was when everything good came crumbling down. Everything seemed so...normal. I didn't know what I had until it was gone. They invaded my home. Crushed everything innocent to bits, and I'm certain that nothing will be the same. Nothing will be innocent again. For years to come, we won't know of peace, only bloodshed. The people I hurt, I must get them home. I owe them that and much more.
