Five years ago, Nightmare Moon returned to Equestria and took it by storm. She imprisoned her sister in the moon, and Equestria fell into an Age of Darkness. She ruled with an iron hoof; her word became law. The Mare in the Moon became a grim reminder of what happened to those who opposed the new tyrant, and nopony dared oppose.

Except for one aspiring unicorn.

Twilight Sparkle, a mare shackled by the failures of her past, prowls the ruins of the old capital Canterlot, praying for a spell that can right what has been so horribly wronged. Buried beneath the rubble of the Royal Library, she finds a tome that might be the answer to her prayers.

A "Warrior of Sunlight"; surely he will be able to overthrow the wicked tyrant and restore Celestia to her rightful throne. Twilight can almost see the sun returning over the horizon. She just didn't expect this warrior to be so... jolly.

Set in Starlight's "alternate future" where Nightmare Moon reigns.

To escape from Tartarus is nearly impossible, even for one of great magical power. When you've lost your powers and are little more than a withered old centaur, it's even harder. Moulded by the harsh environment of a post-apocalyptic Moscow, Artyom was always the man to do what it took to get the job done; anything to protect the Metro and all of those that would rebuild humanity. He destroyed the Dark Ones to protect mankind and the final stand at D6 was no different. Faced between letting the Communists control the entire Metro and destroying the easiest method of sustaining thousands of people, Artyom took the route of sacrifice by killing himself and destroying D6.

So was the end of his journey ... in Moscow. Lost in a new world, Artyom is faced with surviving in a foreign environment. How can a man born in war and violence survive in a land where such are nearly alien concepts? One thing is certain, he must survive for he won't get another chance.

When Soundwave losses hope for Decepticon cause after Megatron's death he leaves Cybertron to find a new home, but when a freak accident lands him in the peaceful land of Equestria he must adapt to this new world with the help of a down on her luck DJ, Vinyl Scratch. Watch as they try to survive the wrath of Princess Luna, Soundwave's old rivals, and the evil Equestria has to offer.
