Changelings are not what they seem to be, as Twilight and Celestia find out so soon after the invasion. In fact, Twilight becomes intimately aware of said fact. The problem is, though, she doesn't know it.
Funny what an expedition into the woods, amnesia and a queen that only wants to help can do to change a girl's life.

"I asked a changeling once why they would think peace with Equestria was possible. Their response was the title to this book. I had asked a question on politics and gotten a calculus equation in response. Changelings are odd like that sometimes. They see things differently than the rest of us. I ended up pondering his response for a long time and even dusted off my old calculus books to look for an answer. One day it just clicked in my head what he was trying to say.

Changelings are capable of change.

It was a somewhat redundant answer, and it was a really bizarre way to give it, but I understood what he meant. Changelings, just like ponies, are capable of both good and bad, We could make peace with them, and help them learn to better themselves. That was what the changelings wanted, and ponies everywhere were fighting it. It is for that reason I began creating this book. Within this tome you will find a collection of essays, more like candid stories really, directly from Princess Twilight Sparkle, the Princess of Friendship, and Prince Morpheus, leader of the Changeling Hive. These reports detail their lives from the day negotiations began. That is the day the Prince himself began living in Ponyville, and it comes with the story of how he and the little town came to adapt to each other as negotiations were occurring. It is my hope seeing their story will show anypony reading this there is no reason to distrust the changelings so, and, perhaps, it will give you insight into the strange little changelings as well. They truly want peace, and, despite the treaties being signed, we can only truly give it to them when we let go of our distrust."

Hello, my name is Twilight Sparkle. My brothers are Shining Armor, captain of the Royal Guard, and a dragon named Spike that I hatched when I was little. I have five friends that help me wield the Elements of Harmony, artifacts that protect Equestria from evil. I have a few other friends that are less important, but still great ponies nonetheless.

One catch, though. I am also a changeling Queen, and the friends and family I just mentioned are all my subjects, and children as well. They don't even know it, but everything's working out alright, so no reason to tell them! After all, it's not like a giant wave of love energy could suddenly reveal all the changelings in Canterlot, right? Right?

Part 1, Revelation: Twilight Sparkle meets an old enemy that reveals a secret she's kept since she was named.

Part 2, Recollection: The Elements of Harmony try to get to the truth of the matter, changeling Queens begin their game of chess, Queen Citlali takes her Hive and runs from Canterlot.

Part 3, Reformation: Queen Citlali begins to grow her hive, Whitetail Hive takes some time to get used to the news, Princess Cadance dreams of a dark creature.

Twilight had reached her peak, she was at the happiest point in her young life. The day of her coronation as Equestria's newest princess had finally arrived. Then the unthinkable happened, Sombra appears in the throne room alive and well demanding his chance to be reformed by pony society. The unthinkable happens again, when his wish is granted, spearheaded by none other than Princess Twilight herself. Will Sombra's nefarious plans bring her to ruin, or will she succeed against all odds? Only time can tell as it reminds them both that plans have a way of changing all on their own.

This is an alternative narrative based around the storyline of season 2 episodes 25-26 A Canterlot Wedding.

When Shining Armor banished Twilight from his wedding, she returned distraught to Ponyville, but she soon got to hear about the changeling invasion of Canterlot.

With the help of some unexpected allies, she returns to try and put everything right.

Twilight Sparkle and her friends have been model Equestrian citizens for years. After finally reuniting with Twilight, their lives were given real meaning. Celestia, queen of Equestria, and feared conqueror had been Twilight Sparkle's mentor for years. Celestia taught Twilight everything she knew about battle, warfare, many things that had served her well. Yet now, Celestia has forced Twilight into an exile's death.

The ancient dragon queen, Tiamat, has been manipulated by Celestia into ending the life of Twilight Sparkle and her elite army. The battle is brutal, and it has drained on Twilight Sparkle, yet in a war of attrition, the dragon army will win. Twilight must do what she must to save herself and the ponies who have fought and died on her behalf.

Princess Mi Amora Amicitia, or Twilight Sparkle to the few that know her Personal Name, may be the reigning Crystal Princess of the Crystal Empire. But that doesn't mean she can't be a normal pony when she wants too.

She hangs out with her friends, mingles with the crystal ponies, and has hopes and dreams just like any other pony her age.

Granted, she will one day ascend the throne as the next Crystal Empress. But that's never stopped her from trying to be as normal as possible.

But in a world that has just endured the Three Tribes Era and the Windigo Winter brought on by the racial hatred of the Three Tribes, normal is anything but for her and her friends.

Equestria, truly a beacon of hope for the world. Everyone’s heard the stories of their heroes: The Elements of Harmony, the magic of Friendship, yada yady yada.

They also saw themselves as a sort of police force for the world, which was obviously not a good sign for many countries. It was no surprise that the Griffons wanted to go to war, especially when their air superiority was challenged and all that. However, I’m not really into that kinda thing. I just want to fly in the sky! It’s kinda hard when everyone says an Earth Pony can’t do it, but if a pegasus can fly a jet, so can I!

(This is kind of a parody of Ace Combat, the logic of the Ace Combat games applies here [i.e. multiple missile, a HUD, so on and so forth]. There is implied death [such as explosion], and lots of no -no words.)

You're the next generation of harmony, the last beacon of hope for Equestria. You're quite simply called the Hero. The hero that will save this land from evil, a new evil that's greater than anything anypony could ever possibly comprehend. A new darkness is nigh, but the balance of both good and evil must be maintained. This is your story, you're the next to be as the savior that Equestria needs.
