Rarity just wanted to curl up with a book with no redeeming values except the prose. But curling up with a friend can be just as much fun.

Man, shipping is very anti-reading right now, isn't it?

Teen because hot mare on mare action isn't for everyone.

Edited by Magicman7997, DictatorDuck, and Evanescyan

Now with a positively fabulous Dramatic Reading, darling!

With such a big event aproaching, Rarity can't help but feel inspired and full of energy. Just the perfect combination to make a dress. One that will be acompanied of a fond memory, just like the others. Her time with Sunset.

This story was written for the Sunset Shimmer Contest.

This story is a collaboration with andrizzi.
Special thanks to Krickis for editing the story.

This story is a sequel to The Wrong Mare

The world is aflame and broken. In the Crystal Empire, Rarity tries to ensure her part of the world is less broken than the world outside it, starting with finally taking proper care of the little filly that's supposed to rule it one day. But between the Empress Nightmare Moon's plans for Equus, the damage of Sombra's short but brutal second reign, the danger of the Changeling Hegemony on the western border, and her own personal problems, it's going to be a lot of things, but not easy.

Important: this takes place in the Equestria At War universe. Equestria At War is a mod for the grand strategy game Hearts of Iron IV, be sure to check out their Discord and Reddit if you're not familiar with it. They also have a group on this site: https://www.fimfiction.net/group/212917/equestria-at-war

I couldn't find any Rarity and Flurry Heart art, so I made it myself (hence why it's not very good). This is the base I used: https://www.deviantart.com/elementbases/art/MLP-Base-248-789800058

Rated Teen for sadness, the consequences of war and a deranged tyrant ruling over a nation for a good two and half years, a four-year old orphan and all that entails, crude humour, and possibly more to be added in the future.

WARNING: I have no plan or outline for this story, this is purely a passion project, if it ends up dying in a few weeks months time I'll tell you. I am now in possession of a general outline and plan for this story, not to worry.

Twilight decided that her time had come: after years of only owning books and reading books, she was finally going to write a book of her own.

Too bad her friends are more interested in getting alcohol poisoning than helping her with her research.

Entry for The Comedy (Is Serious Business) Contest under the prompt: We Learned Something, Alright.

One year ago, the immortal moon lich died.

One year ago, Twilight Sparkle the so-called human moved to Ponyville.

Rarity never believed that, of course. The "human" bit. After all, no human would willingly choose to live in a town of monsters, and no amount of magic or hunting orders or Plans with a capital "P" would ever change her mind on that—especially when said human was so constantly collected and calm.

But... if she wasn't human, what kind of monster could she be?

Written for the Raritwi-deprived Monochromatic, who so graciously let me cook for 1/4th of a year. Huge thanks to Swan Song for prereading, and to everyone I pestered for synonyms whenever the last of my braincells refused to word. Cover art by me!

Rarity has a problem, a very personal and agonizing problem that she has no solution to. Rarity has deep and overwhelming feelings for Twilight, yet she can't speak the words that would convey these feelings to her beloved. She despairs of finding a solution, until Twilight unwittingly shows up with the perfect solution. Or maybe not as unwitting as she seems...

A exceedingly last minute and poor quality submission to the Interwoven Colours RariTwi contest that I could not help but add because Mono has dragged me head first into the trash can and I'm having far too much fun wallowing around in here. Just kidding Mono-senpai, I love your work and am happy I could contribute something for you to enjoy. Plez notice me and enjoy!
I don't exactly expect to win anything with this, since I've written it over the course of like 2 days with zero pre-planning and going entirely by the seat of my pants because nothing bad could ever happen like that right? Constructive feedback is welcomed and appreciated... Please be gentle.

Twilight has had to deal with quite a few peeved unicorns lately. Haughty magicians, angry teenagers, scorned savants, the list goes on. You'd think she would be used to it by now, but this time she's faced with something far more threatening, and far more unexpected...a drunk Rarity.

Starlight had to admit, it was going to happen eventually.

Rarity had finally rejected Spike, and the poor dragon was finally experiencing his first heartbreak. With Twilight busy doing princess stuff, Starlight knew she had to be there for her friend.

You ended up in Equestria about two years ago, and in that time, you've become quite close with a number of ponies. Of them, Rarity in particular has left a major impression on you. She seems to enjoy having you around, and you appreciate the company.

That said, there is one major roadblock getting in the way of your relationship. More than anypony you know, Rarity is extremely concerned with keeping up appearances. As a fashion designer and all-around fabulous mare, she frequently wants your opinion on how she looks.

Unfortunately for you, you're a human with no way of telling what makes a pony "beautiful."

The Fire of Friendship has all but faded. One thousand years ago, Equestria fractured... those who disagreed with Celestia's rule left under the leadership of Princess Luna to found their own nation, their own way of life. Seventy years later, Celestia and Luna both disappeared during the first war, leaving the battered nations leaderless in their absence.

Over the last nine hundred years wars have frequently waged between Equestria and Lunaria, each seeking to unite ponykind under their own ideals. Equestria's mastery of magic often gave it the edge in battle, but never enough for a decisive victory. Peace reigns for now, but recent developments in Lunaria signal a shift in the balance between the two divided nations...
