Imperial Thought of the Day: Suffer Not the Alien to Live.

The Fire of Friendship has all but faded. One thousand years ago, Equestria fractured... those who disagreed with Celestia's rule left under the leadership of Princess Luna to found their own nation, their own way of life. Seventy years later, Celestia and Luna both disappeared during the first war, leaving the battered nations leaderless in their absence.

Over the last nine hundred years wars have frequently waged between Equestria and Lunaria, each seeking to unite ponykind under their own ideals. Equestria's mastery of magic often gave it the edge in battle, but never enough for a decisive victory. Peace reigns for now, but recent developments in Lunaria signal a shift in the balance between the two divided nations...

Sorry for explaining some things too much, but that's who I am, I enjoy investigating the reasons for things and I tend to explain them... like now.
I had several ideas for this story, but they are all loose ideas with nothing to tie them together so I never focused on any of them or gave them a real or general purpose.
Being your best version, a small wish of mine that I imposed in writing, that's what this story was.
Many ideas come to me over time but I don't put them into action.
So many things I want to do, but without energy and time to do it, that caused the decline of publishing more chapters mainly.

Binnacle - 17 Years since I was here and wrote my thoughts:

I managed to find my goal, it is to be a Pegasus without equal, to be able to alter the weather just with a flap of my wing without being in the sky, to master the art of controlling the clouds or as I like to call it Cloudbender.

I have managed to make a Sonic Boom thanks to all my training... but it was not my final goal not least when it took me 10 years to achieve it when a 8 year old Rainbow Dash achieved it when we were in the Young Aviators school.

But now I am very distracted by the Everfree forest and the challenges it can impose on my path, Everfree will be the forge where I will temper my skills to achieve my dream.

Joining the Wonderbolts... no thanks, I will be recognized for my accomplishments, not for the clothes I wear over my fur!

Some time has passed and now I am the Bearer of a strange magical element that seems to be slowly affecting me ... the good thing is that it is in a positive way.

Also, my training has had its results, now I can clear the sky by just flapping among other things, but the most memorable thing is that I can be the center of climate changes, something that I discovered by accident when consuming a drug, now my attention is focused in replicating those phenomena and then mastering them.

The Everfree is no longer as chaotic or random as I thought at first, it is similar to Earth in a certain way, but only 5% because the rest of the difference is caused by the magical phenomenons that abound in that forest.

Another bit of news is that now I have friends who bring me a smile when I remember them, but I still haven't lost my features as a Deviant, but I'm worried about what Celestia plans for me, now that she knows that I'm not in the army with the others Deviant.

Life may be one of the longest experiences we'll ever get, but it's also one of the hardest. We each have our own personal issues, struggles, challenges, tragedies, and there could be even more ready to drop on us at any given time.

You will always have to accept what has transpired, you have no control over it. But what you do have control of, is how you'll let it affect you.

Four ponies will be tested with this lesson as they head off to save Equesria's magic, for they are the only ones left in Equestria that still possess any.

This is a 'Final Fantasy' crossover that'll be much like my 'Legend of Zelda' one as you don't need to know anything about the franchise in order to enjoy the story. The Final Fantasy elements will be pushing this story along, as there'll be plenty of common themes and characters that are associated with the franchise (some will be the species/monster and some may act like certain characters).

My basic concept is to make a 'My Little Pony' story that comes out as if it was meant for a 'Final Fantasy' game.

This will be present tense in 3^rd person pony. HOWEVER, I won't have any inner dialogue and instead only focus on feelings and emotions of the characters.

Story takes place almost 2 years after the MLP episode, 'The Ending of the End'.

Jackson, Jack for short, has never touched a video game in his life, he has always been the type of person to mostly focus of school work and grades than games, never having any time to spend it on games, or with his friends. When a friend of his forces him to try out a new VR type MMORPG game called New Equestrian Online, or NEO, based off a old cartoon franchise about ponies. A game where everyone can create their own fantasy adventure or life with their own pony character, where they can be a knight or mage to fight off enemies, a smithy to craft new gear and weapons for everyone, a salepony to sell valuable potions and boosts, etc. Is this new MMORPG game the type of game that Jack can get into and finally likes? Who knows.

A small band of guardsponies find themselves surrounded in their city. Their enemy already savors her victory, but she will learn that even the darkest night must yield to the Sun.

Twilight has a dark secret: she isn't satisfied with her current lot in life. Yes, she does have amazing friends that have stood by her through thick and thin, yes, she does have a supportive and kind family, and she is the student of Princess Celestia herself. But she can't shake off the feeling that she is missing out on life.

How many other sights are there to be seen, how many ponies are there to meet, how many challenges will she never face by being in Ponyville, by being Twilight Sparkle?

One day she has finally had enough and fueled by a several months long rut and scientific curiosity she decides to go through with the most insane plan imaginable in order to put her doubts to rest.
