All at once, I lost everything in my life, and was swept away to a new world in the body of this small... horse... thing. What now? Will I be able to find new meaning in this new world? Wooo my first fic ever! Always been a big fan of HiE fics so decided to give it a shot myself. Hopefully it isn't too depressing at the start, I have some cute ideas for some wholesome moments later on.

Ranma chases a potential cure for his curse in Equestria, which — unsurprisingly — goes awry.

Now there are two of him, one male and one female, and the latter has to come to terms with it and forge a new life.

Princess Twilight has seen some strange things in the past few years. She made the best friends a mare could have, she had some amazing adventures, became an alicorn princess, saved the world a few times, and got a palace to call her very own. Yet for all that, the strangest has yet to come.

There are new strangers in Ponyville. That's not too odd, but they're not ponies. They're human! But they're not like any human Twilight saw on the other side of the Mirror. Their magic isn't like anything she's ever seen, either. She'd love to learn more, but there's a problem. These humans could give Fluttershy lessons in keeping out of sight.

Dealing with snooping aliens was not exactly what Twilight had planned to put on top of her royal agenda.

I started writing this back before Season Five. It's not a new idea, not hardly, but no matter how many first contact stories I sifted through, always it was from the alien perspective. The pony perspective would come to the fore only rarely, and usually only with sizable external influences.

This story takes the idea of an alien observation team but is entirely from the locals' standpoint. What do you do when there's an alien science outpost next door?

Mark always knew he was... well, you know. But what was he supposed to do about it? Nothing, really. It didn't matter anyway. Nothing was ever going to change. Or so he thought, until a portal to Equestria appeared in his house. But with that portal, he'll be forced to acknowledge and confront what he is head on.

Just as a lonely man once found a filly Rainbow Dash, so did a tiny Scootaloo turn up in the backyard of a loving couple with no children of their own. Years later, Prof. T. Sparkle, Ph.D, writes the official biography of this-particular-Earth's first Pony citizen, with instructions to 'talk to anyone you need to and don't censor anything.' Rated T and now 20% cooler.

Part three - the 'rescue' mission

Now twenty years after her arrival, Scootaloo has grown up, gone to medical school, and is working through her residency with the paramedics at her alma mater. With her husband David (and the help of medical research) she has given birth to two adorable young foals, Sophie Belle and Chaya Jayne.

The world in 2033 is significantly different because of her presence; hundreds of millions of people have survived terminal illness because of treatments reverse-engineered from her DNA, her ability to fly is understood and ships using her ElectoMagnetic Field Repulsion Drive leave weekly to support the fledgling human colonies on Mars and the moons of Jupiter. This and hundreds of other technologies, from the spectacular to the mundane, can all be traced to the willing volunteerism of Earth's first Pony citizen; yet Scootaloo manages to live as normal a life as can be expected for a doctor in residency, wife, MedEvac doctor, new mother and extreme-sports enthusiast who also happens to be the world-famous, well-beloved first of her kind who many regard as having personally saved the world. (Yeah, she thinks it's completely weird, but it mostly works.)

From the perspective of the Mane Six, it has been only three weeks since the accident that stranded Rainbow and Scootaloo on different human worlds, and one week since they 'rescued' Dashie from her adoptive father's home outside Detroit. Rainbow and Dashie are still sharing a body after their memories failed to combine properly, though they have at least stopped fighting with each other... most of the time.

But now Celestia has found the world Scootaloo was sent to, and will be departing with the Mane Six to 'rescue' her, just as she did at the end of 'My Little Dashie'.

What could possibly go wrong?

Luckily for him, the spirits of the elements of harmony already knew of that a long time ago and set events into motion that will change his destiny forever.

I have read many HP/MLP Crossovers and realized one thing. In all of them Harry either ended up as a unicorn, a pegasus, or a changling, sometimes even as an alicorn, but never as an earth pony or a Thestral. Now, I think it's about time to fix this.

I used to have everything. A good job, a house, and a family. It was all taken away from me in an instant. I thought I could handle the grief alone, but I signed a contract that changed everything. When I was told I would get a second chance, being a pony was not what I had in mind.

In this story follow a man suffering from grief as he gets more than what he bargained for. Would you trade emotional for physical pain to run away?

Ranma and company are used to strange unusual phenomenon, it comes with living in Nerima. Going from two legs to four though? That's a new one for them, even if it seems unusually simple for some.

As she suddenly woke up as a tiny pony staring at two very familiar pairs of eyes, Ganondorf couldn’t really say she was surprised. Disgruntled and mildly annoyed, yes, but not surprised. She really should’ve remembered to put something to break the cycle of reincarnation when she made that ritual to escape from Hyrule all those years ago. So being reborn after the end of her last life was by no means a surprise.

Sure, being female this time around was odd. But at least it seemed that there wasn’t some destiny bullshit railroading her path in this life, so that was something. Not to mention that Link and Zelda were also here. That was another plus.

No curse, no meddling gods, no stupid destiny. Yes, things could definitely have been far worse. So she and her fellow Triforce Wielders just had to have an average childhood for a change. How hard could that be?

This is a non-canon sequel to my story The Power of Freedom, following the idea that after their first life in ancient Equestria the Triforce Trio gets reincarnated as the Cutie Mark Crusaders. (Yay!)

Reading TPoF is not necessary to read this, though it would make it more enjoyable in my opinion, all that is needed is to know that the Trio broke free from their original fate of endless reincarnation imposed on them by the gods of Hyrule, escaped to the pony-world and lived a full life as ponies in the early years of Equestria.

Also, since this is a non-canonical AU sequel, there will be no spoilers in regards to the end of TPoF here, so no worries in that regard.

Timeline-wise this story starts about two months before the return of Nightmare Moon.
