Sequels1

T

This story is a sequel to Our girl Scootaloo 1 of 3

Just as a lonely man once found a filly Rainbow Dash, so did a tiny Scootaloo turn up in the backyard of a loving couple with no children of their own. Years later, Prof. T. Sparkle, Ph.D, writes the official biography of one particular Earth's first Pony citizen, with instructions to 'talk to anyone you need to and don't censor anything.' Rated T and now 20% cooler.

... So... you made 1...then 3.... did you remove this story or something?

Oh, I just had time to point it out in my comment on 1 of 3, didn't I?

I must admit, the explanation offered makes a lot of sense why Scoots has had such an easy time legally. Consider my earlier complaint retracted.

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

Bounces around like Pinkie Pie.

:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

Very funny chapter, I had to stop drinking juice as Demi started explaining things to make sure I didn't spray my computer while laughing

Engineers.... I thought we only built bridges....
Hahahahaha!!!!!!!
Made my morning!!

Took the second chapter to earn my like.:trixieshiftright:

3663035 Techniclly he is building bridges... Very strong bridges:trollestia:

Your giving me plans for my future children..

Awesome idea for an 18th birthday. I wouldn't have minded hearing the explanation about alcohol that was alluded to, your other info dumps have been interesting and entertaining.

Oh, my favorite subject!

Transhumanism! :yay:

I'm honestly rather surprised it doesn't come up in combination with FIM more often, considering there's a canon (if ludicrously rare) way for ponies to become immortal demi-gods. You'd think flight, magic and immortality would pop-up more often as a character motivation slash story hook.

Within minutes, the first of the paveratsi arrived

paveratsi?

4283847 Oops, should be paparazzi, thanks for catching that.
4278045 I've been a fan of Ghost in the Shell SAC for some years, and I think your going to enjoy the next story. I'm 50 pages in and maybe 3/5ths done.

So...you split up the arcs in order to write Part 3?

That debate was...

I think 'painful but interesting from a cultural perspective' is the most polite way I can put it.

As somebody that hails from a country where the common wisdom is 'horny teenagers will f:heart:ck no matter what we say. What can we actually do to minimize the damage for them and society?' the talk of abstinence as a real option is just... really, really odd.

Heck, I was told how to use a condom when I was twelve-thirteen something. It even got demonstrated in front of the whole class..

On a test-tube, but still...

Yup this series isstill in my top 10, bout number 5/6. (Please dont be offended) and hows the kid doing?

4517140 For laughs, it can be fun to tell the 'Pro Abstinence' advocate that they've got it wrong: "No no, you're thinking of our national defense policy; We abstain from wars and try to cut military funding because it's morally wrong, and because the bad choices of others don't affect us or our society." Then after they ridicule that statement, one stares silently at them. Sometimes they figure it out...:ajbemused:

4517599 Wow, I'm flattered to be in anyone's top ten:pinkiehappy:. Our little one arrived early, and we aren't getting a lot of sleep, but she's healthy and happy, and it means more hours to write... often at 3AM...:twilightsheepish:

4517708 well, look forward to the days of embarasimg her in front of freinds, JK. And at least shes healthy an loved, thats all that matters.

4517140 Abstinence is still a viable option. It simply depends on how well the kids understand and follow that instruction. It also depends a great deal on peer pressure...that's the main thing. What's so hard is society seems to expect teenagers to have sex.

Ah, well.

4519791

I don't mind the concept of willing abstinence, even if I personally simply don't get it... but I really don't like how many tout it as the only option.

That, and I can't help but see it as rather cynical manipulation of youngsters that don't know any better for a religious agenda, instead of actually telling them all their actual options in a calm and rational manner. :pinkiesad2:

I want to hear more of this teacher's story if there is any left to tell.

Very ah.... interesting chapter.... :twilightblush::scootangel: If Scootaloo does go through with her design plans for her own personal straight jacket... :rainbowderp:

And now we see why way back in the first story her dads wanted her to bring the boy home for nightly activities.

"Besides," Jayne added mischievously "it's no accident your bed is built to support a compact car without creaking."

:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::trollestia:

Not talk about anythin---- GAHHH!!!!

Then I guess things like the Vietnam War aren't taught in class in this universe...

4529554 For better or worse, that's based on my own Jr high and high school experience. We spent grades 1 through 11 covering all history up to 1910, then, in the last three months of 12th grade they covered 1910 through today. My wife tells me that wasn't what her school was like, but mine was a fairly average rural US school. Would I be right in guessing your school was a bit closer to a city?

4530193 Plenty closer, but still...

The paragraph after 'The Pony Pokey, indeed.' also has a paveratsi hiding in it.

This chapter was a bit of an emotional roller coaster, but I'm glad Scootaloo was with George before he passed.

Now, let's discuss the cost of cotton...:pinkiecrazy:

This entire chapter was just daw. :rainbowkiss:

I do question one bit, though.

When they landed, the two crash victims were the first ones off the helicopter...

Given that our proud mommy is literately the scientific find of several lifetimes and that this pregnancy just might have been the one shot of more ponies on Earth (to the characters knowledge), I frankly can't see two random car-crash victims getting first priority of the helicopter. A bit cold, yes, but that's triage for you.

Other then that tiny nit-pick though, excellent chapter.

And this chapter was why I read part 2 before 3!!! Yay for twins, David staying nearby, and family!!!!

4598267 More than likely, it was Scoot's call. She was not in a life-threatening way and she is a doctor (med student).

4599039

I'd still argue the potential future of an entire (intelligent) species trumps two people... but I have to admit, I can see :scootangel: insisting that, if you pardon the 'pun.'

All my yes! All my like! All my fav!

The Carmen Sandiego has to be one of the most devious drinks I've ever seen. Nice job and great joke.

Also, the league of evil called, they want you to speak as an honorary guest for that wake up call.

So Scoot is now a University of West Virginia Mountaineer?
Explains Baxton Tower, scenic mountain backgrounds, a medical school, and the need to shuttle to a 'downtown' campus. Am I right?

:twilightsheepish:
Plz, don't tell me school is gonna be like her cause from chapter one... I'll find out soon.

9367492
I had this whole idea of her medical school showing off the problems with American medical education, the unnecessarily difficult and discriminatory process, the crushing student loans, the working for free for years all go get to be a doctor... Other countries don't have these problems, hell, Ireland actually has a surplus of doctors. Ultimately though I decided I didn't want to write a dissertation on all that, and in all likelihood you probably didn't want to read it, so I heavily abbreviated part 2 and just hit the high points that were interesting. Hopefully no one is too disappointed. :applejackunsure:

9367552
Woah, I'm not that far yet! Plus I'm loving this like crazy.

Would love to see the last few chapters expanded.
Onto Part 3!
