A young girl, having been robbed of her childhood and very life by illness finds herself given a second chance in a strange world and with an even stranger body. With a new life, family, and even a brother, she tries to cope with the bizarre world she's found herself in while also trying to embrace her role and become worthy of the gift she has been given.
Being a princess can be hard however, even if it's only an honorary title, especially when you're the twin sister of Prince Blueblood.

The duo must contend with powerful adversaries and survive the subtle machinations of the Magi determined to win the Grail at any cost. Can Twilight overcome her unwillingness to take the lives of others? More importantly, should she? And is there any way for the displaced Unicorn to return home? It has been one year since Starlight Glimmer graduated and ventured out on her own to teach others the friendship lessons she learned as Princess Twilight's personal student. Now, unexpectedly, she's coming back to Ponyville for a visit, and everypony is excited about it. Well, everypony that is, except Spike. But why?

Armies clash in Equestria over an ancient feud between two powerful races. Ajax, the last human, holds Celestia accountable for the extinction of his race. He will go to any lengths to see her brought to justice, but something darker lurks beneath the war torn surface. He is seen as one of the worst creatures to ever walk Equestria, but are humans truly damned to being monsters or are they capable of something greater.

To the far east across the vast sea is the forgotten homeland of the diamond dogs. A land once full of poverty, sickness, and famine has become an industrial super power that threatens Equestrias economic dominance/standing. Can Equestria survive as countless ponies are put out of work from the influx of cheaper and higher quality goods from Britannia or will they be forced into an war against a technologically superior foe? And just who is the Emperor and is every thing they know a lie?

The Piano Man has spent the last month in captivity, forced to play the piano as part of The Great and Powerful Trixie's traveling show. Now he's free, and recovering under the care of the Equestrian monarchy while Trixie awaits trial for her crimes.
All is not well, however. The Piano Man has a long road of recovery ahead, and all the time he must compete with overbearing carers, his own mental trauma, and even discrimination from members of Equestria's unicorn supremacist subculture.

This story is the kinda (can't stress that part enough) better-written sequel to 'The Piano Man'. Because the first story involved some rather dark scenes, I have included a helpful catch-up in the first chapter - so if you have no interest in reading a dark story, then you can ignore the first piece and skip straight ahead to this one.
'The Piano Man: Act II' is most certainly not a dark story, and neither is it sad. The sad tag is in place for scenes in which I reference the previous installment, and nothing else.
