This story is a sequel to The Long-Eared Temptress

The Principality hails and honors Prince Blueblood for standing up to bigots and openly embracing his love for Connie, the humble donkey palace maid who has won his heart. Their love is grand, their intentions clear and their hooves are set towards the altar. They will be married.

In the upper echelons of society.

A Royal Wedding is no small challenge. Blueblood has lived his life in the upper reaches and his great-aunts have as well. Connie... hasn't. The bride-to-be knows stern practicality, sensibility and the donkey desire for simple and effective solutions to ordinary problems. The world of gold-foil wedding gowns, fifty-layer cakes, and other inanities of the nobility are beyond her.

And then... there are parents...

Princess Luna orders fun over the phone.

Her appointed call-zebra challenges a cup of coffee, gets involved in a spy intrigue, heroically saves the world from return of eternal night and gets romantically involved with the protagonist of "The Legend of Hay House". Still, in the end Princess Luna gets all the fun she desired and more.

Also, a tome of ancient poetry from Saddle Arabia gets badly damaged. Discretion is advised for people squeamish about graphic descriptions of butchering books.

In the ancient city of Sodom, Lyra and Bon Bon sneak onto Noah's Ark by pretending to be husband and wife. Thanks to a fake horn on Bon Bon, the human prophet Noah thinks the two marefriends are the missing unicorn couple he needed for the ark.

Can Lyra and Bon Bon keep their true identities hidden from Noah? It won't be easy when their every move is being scrutinized by the cripplingly homophobic earth pony couple. When Equestria accidentally opened a portal to another world, they discovered a new species: humans. Their arrival changed the world. For the Equestrian Ponies, it heralded a great cultural and technological jump needed from their stagnating way of life. For the Gryphons, however, they represented something baser: an opportunity to increase food stock and finally have a 'friendlier' predator species to ally themselves with.

For Gilda, one of the the humans was Ancestor-sent, a soul she would protect for bringing much joy to her life. And when a chain of events force her to accompany her human to Equestria, she recalls the circumstances of their meeting, the trials they pass through, the friendship forged through fire, and love born out of understanding under the harsh skies of the Kingdom.

This is her story.

Twilight Sparkle presents a collection of interviews, letters, essays, poetry and prose compiled over several years of her relationship with the human Bellerophon and his "herd", covering subjects as broad as Equestrian social taboos, comparisons of earth and Equestrian mythology, romance and the occasional recipe. Compiled by Twilight Sparkle, with foreword by Her Royal Highness, Princess Celestia.

(This is a bit of an experiment based on the worldbuilding concepts presented in AnonAuthor's Xenophilia [[NSFW] - caveat lector!], which intrigued me enough to want to take a closer look. It's likely you'll be very confused by this unless you read at least some of Xenophilia. Updates will appear as and when an idea pops into my head for a thing to add. And fair warning, some of this might come across very dry and dusty. Thank you academia! And thank you AnonAuthor for letting me have a go, and both AnonAuthor and AnonponyDASHIE for all the collab work they're doing. I'll make up for the dust by tossing in the odd piece of art now and then.)

In which Celestia learns a distressing new fact about her recently-banished sister, in which the author learns that he is apparently capable of pranking himself, and in which many lapses in judgment are displayed on both sides of a metaphysical divide.
