This story is a sequel to Pregnant Noses Know

Princess Celestia and Baked Bean, after a nearly year-long wait, are now the proud parents of a healthy unicorn colt. Naturally, little Apollo Bean will receive nothing but the finest as he begins his own princely journey, but babies always have their own set of unique issues, and Celestia will find another new life waiting for her as she integrates motherhood into her already busy schedule.

Elsewhere, the Kingdom of Equestria moves on as well. Chrysalis continues to be Chrysalis—much to Sergeant Hokey Pokey's chagrin—Trixie continues in her new role as Baked Bean's secretary while Miss Wysteria and Sergeant Quillpoint take time to work on their relationship and to take care of their brand-new twins, Twilight Sparkle begins teaching Starlight Glimmer about the magic of friendship after several world-ending events, and even Prince Blueblood finds much to accomplish upon returning from Yakyakistan.

But while forgotten friends and new adventures await, Baked Bean and Celestia know that, come what may, they will enjoy all of the ups and downs together...

As a family.

Why do I love him? Because, he's cool, knows what a mare want to hear and he's awesome. But I like mares, and yet, I have strong feelings for him. The only male who was able to steal my heart. Hell and here I thought males were no good slobs. He proved me wrong, oh so wrong. I want to be with him, to hold him, and stay with him. I'll even cut off my wings.....for my love, for him. Five years after the inhabitants of Equestria and the land beyond took to the stars, Chrysalis decides its now her turn. With two goals in mind; find food and find Starlight, Chrysalis ordered her drones to finish construction on a ship to take her to space. These are but the first steps towards an even bigger adventure in this prelude to the upcoming space epic.

After facing a devastating defeat, Chrysalis has lost everything. As her end grows closer, though, she is found by her old rival, Celestia. Their meeting ends with fatal consequences, not only for the two royals, but possibly for all of Equestria as well. Now, with time running out, it's up to Twilight to figure out how to right these wrongs and save the day. This time, though, she'll need some help from an unlikely ally: Chrysalis herself.

However, one night while walking home in the middle of a freak late summer storm in the middle of the night, something happened. Something terrifying. Something wonderful. Something unexpected.

It's an old trope, not a fresh idea, but this is a story about me and My Little Chryssie...

Alicorns; Immortal beings which represent the forces of the world personified. Everypony knows of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, the founders of Equestria and its diarchs since its establishment. But what of their parents, uncles, aunts... ancestors? Little known to many, history has, in fact, forgotten more about the alicorn race than any mortal will ever learn. However, it is here, in these texts, a collected effort of scholars throughout centuries, that we mortal beings may find some insight into the alicorn race's history, and the world of the immortal.

But what secrets lie within history's depths? What myths are true, which are false? Legends many ponies call fiction may be something far worse than that. The Midnight Flood, the Void War, the countless shades which have nearly destroyed or conquered the world... even today, can the accuracy of legends and myths and even history itself be taken for granted when it is ultimately in the eyes of the ones who wrote the books?

Can we even believe the words of Celestia herself?

Many ponies believe that the day the last alicorn leaves this world will be a tragedy.

Queen Chrysalis had returned, though not for long as a group of "secondary characters" as Discord would put it teamed up to defeat her, a former minion of the Queen's breaking the cycle by sharing love instead of taking it. The remaining changelings all followed the example of their comrade, reforming themselves and destroying the maddened queen's throne in the process. Isolated and effectively exiled from her own hive, the changeling queen fled, swearing vengeance upon the very pony that caused her isolation.

While the day had been saved, another mystery would soon uncover itself within the confides of the hive, one that could very well change the way the reformed changelings view the world as they know it, cause them to question what is real and what isn't.

All of this, because of a singular changeling mare, claiming she can see life itself.
