A massive combined evil force threatens to destroy the nation, and now the two must defend the ponies. Is there more to their arrival though?
Crossover with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Takes place between episodes 12 and 13 of Season 3.

This story was granted to me by JWR832, since he was unable to continue it. So, as one of his editors, I will be taking over. I will be consulting with him often, and he will be helping me change it to his liking. For my own purposes, all cursing (other than a few British words) will be omitted. When Knick-Knack, a scavenger and adventurer, finds a memory orb revealing a secret, pre-war stronghold, untouched since the days of the royal sisters, but when he realises that the defences of the fortress are too much for him to handle, he relies on the aide of a cornocopia of mercenaries, thieves, assassins and psyscopaths.

Young Nictis had one dream: to serve his hive by becoming an Infiltrator, the most vital and vaunted role a changeling could aspire to. To hide in plain sight among the other species, blending in, while gathering the vital emotional energies that fueled his people. Few were deemed worthy of the dangerous job. He was one of the few nymphs selected for training, in the hopes that one of them would develop the skills needed to be entrusted with such a treacherous task.

But when a training expedition ends in tragedy, Nictis finds himself thrust into the role not to serve his hive and people, but to preserve his own life. Separated from the hive, alone, he must put what little training he has to the test. He must blend in with the hive's greatest source of food, and its most dangerous enemy: the ponies of Equestria.

(This story takes place in the same continuity as Fragments, but stands on its own. Reading that story isn't necessary for this one.)

Dark times have fallen upon the universe. The Grand Equestrian Tetrarchy, which had stood for millenia, has all but collapsed before a wave of external threats whose costly defeat provided an opportunity for a rebellion to attack the beleaguered and exhausted empire.

Our story begins with three graduates of the last class of the academy before its sacking. They have been assigned a mission by General Shield to run essential data across several galaxies all the way to the capital itself. The rebels have already won and the Tetrarchy seems doomed with most of its power, territory, and fleet gone, but Equestria, the heartland of the mightiest empire known to history, was preparing to make a final, and likely vain, stand with the remainder of its forces.

The quest of these three heroes will decide the fate of an empire and the fates of billions.
