Editor Profile

“There are few things in life that bring as much joy as the joy that comes from assisting another improve his or her life.” - Richard G. Scott
One of my joys on FiMFiction is being an editor because I get to help someone make their dreams into a reality. How many others can say that about what they do? I base my writing and also my editing on this:
"The object of fiction isn't grammatical correctness but to make the reader welcome and then tell a story..." - Stephen King, On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft
Don't get me wrong, I want to make sure the story you are sending to me is grammatically sound, but I am far more focused on if you have a good story than if a comma is required or not. When I edit, I look at things such as character design (are they correctly represented, no Mary Sues), if the plot makes sense, and if the sentences flow nicely. Is the detail in your story enough to make sense of things, or are you avoiding the Lavender Unicorn Syndrome? Those kinds of things are my focus, how well your story is represented is my focus. For that, I note myself as a story editor.
My schedule varies on how free I am to edit, but my door is usually open. Just send me a message or comment on my page if you need an editor.

Yeah I understand that. Writing again is weird but I'm slowly trying to get my old style back again. Never really stopped being fun though. I'll be reading all the stuff you've posted that I've missed since I left!

Life is decent. I had to hiatus my story for a bit, and I'm working on a few others in the mean time. Took a break from editing and only recently stepped back into that.

Good! I've been back for a minute and stopping in to all my old friends seeing how they are doing. How about you?

Yup. How are things going?

I'm happy to see that you're still here, Lord-Commander:twilightsmile:
