Private is called to aid King Thor when a pair of his guards are murdered and a mysterious package seems to be at the center of it all. Thor's brother and popular lord Baldur is being threatened by this conspiracy, can Private solve it before the young prince sees the end of his immortal life? To make matters worse, an old foe of Thor's seems to be pulling the strings from behind the curtains, giving Private his greatest challenge yet.

(Crossover Tag is due to the large amount of Norse Myth present in this Story)

HA,HA! I'm not late to this party FINALLY!:rainbowkiss:

Hmm… I see you're bringing up some good old Norse Mythology into this story… :raritystarry: I LOVE NORSE MYTHOLOGY! Sorry… I'm no expert but out of all the myths and legends of the past Norse is my favorite.

Oh dear...I have a feeling that Thor's wife is not the friendliest... :trixieshiftleft::trixieshiftright:

I may be mistaken. But I think that there is a very good chance that in all likeliness, Sif may just possibly have an ever so slight level of distrust for Private.:trixieshiftleft:

Mistletoe... We meet again, my old foe.

Mistletoe? A ban on mistletoe? Seems odd though I'm not versed on Norse mythology so I'm certain something is flying over my head.

Quick explination Mistletoe was used to kill Baldur in the original norse mytholgy, and was the only think that could kill him

Oh crap, I'm guessing a love triangle was involved here. But that alone would be too simple.

Also, I really hope that there won't be a Loki in this case. Because that would just make this too obvious.

I'm thinking that flower has something to do with the crime.

In this case, Private Eye, ignorance is most definitely NOT bliss

Strange... Thor's wife is mistrusting of him... But I think I could possibly think on why. There's something she's hiding, that she may hope that Private will never find out. I could be wrong, but that's what I'm getting from this... :trixieshiftleft:

Baldur and mistletoes. Loving the Norse references.

Hoo boy.... Didn't see that one coming

WHOA WHOA WOHA HE WANTED TO COMMIT SUICIDE!? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?

The hell? A suicidal alicorn, wait.... what?

Whoa. From assassination to assisted suicide...that is a major game changer.

Hmmm... this crime reeks of a certain god of mischief... Also, Baldur is fucked when Thor gets his hooves on him.

:twilightoops: Well.. I certainly never saw that coming indeed... However that is actually quite possible to be, but yet now one has a question... why does he want to die? He certainly didn't look look or act like he wanted to die, so that means... someone's probably pulling the strings... or perhaps a certain god...

I get the oddest feeling this guy is gonna be called loki or something

Ragnarok...ah, one of the most epic names around. And I guess Loki might have a play in this as well...btw, I think you might had made a error with the italicization (because I don't think Private and Sif's conversation was suppose to be that way).

just wondering if it's Thor's brother or private's long lost brother
:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

How interesting, I would try guessing who that figure might be but with very limited knowledge of Norse mythology the only name I can think of is Loki. Oh well, the battle mural was good since there's now even more mysteries of the past that needs answers.

Hmmm... The plot thickens.
I can't wait for more. :trixieshiftleft:

I was wondering where Loki was...

I was wondering when he was gonna show up!

 Saw this coming from a mile away.....

Lets see... Yep, I was pretty sure that Loki would be involved in some way or another... but however the only thing I don't have answered is... How is Private involved in all of this?:twilightoops:

Loki you curly horned son of a nag.

Time to ready the Hyperion Cannon. Let's see how Loki can face the full force of the sun!

So it WAS Loki! Time to charge the cannon.

Saw this from a mile away.

Besides who else could it be other than Loki.

Hmm...very nice that Private put Sif in her place...but I can't say that I am not a little bummed that Loki is the villain. I mean, anyone familiar with the movie Thor or the Marvel Comics would had seen this coming. Then again, it is possible that Loki might not be the main villain in this...there are still three to four more chapter before this case is over. Keep up the good work.

Well Loki was not entirely unexpected as the identity of the villian.

It was... actually obvious to everyone who read Norse Mythology actually. :ajbemused: Mostly because there's only one Norse god who would be so "evil" as to do something of this sort. As for what he plans to unleash? I know that it is a beast that is contained within a prison that should never be opened, but I have a good feeling that Loki is trying to summon up Ragnarok in order to try and destroy the world. I could be right about this, but I could still be wrong. :twilightblush:

HENSHIN!!

It appears I was correct in assuming that a Power Ranger fan is writing this. I in no way shape or form dis you for it. In fact I would be pleased to let you know that sometime in the future I may write a fan story about the Mane 6 being the Power Rangers later on myself. And trust me when I say it's gonna get dark.

Yes! I cant wait for the next chapter!:raritystarry:

3691850 I am a huge sentai fan and have been since I was a wee Jacoboby1. So yeah, it may be kind of obvious.

Yay, they killed the big snake!

3691875 Again I promise that I'll try and get out a darker Power Rangers story in the near future, for instance the putties in my story actually steal the souls from other ponies in order to become physical and even then they look like mud ponies with a skeleton showing and glowing red eyes.

Well that's one way to deal with a giant snake. Feels like a Power Ranger episode minus the ever changing teams and the giant mechs.

Reminds me of Gears of War. :rainbowwild:

Shit, Spera is just getting more dangerous. Also the story is still marked as incomplete and small grammar error, "I took blackbird", I think Blackbird should be capitalized.
