Starlight Glimmer had always been a difficult pony.

She's getting better, though! Really! Three years of living with the Princess of Friendship, one of the most beloved ponies in Equestria, is bound to rub off on a mare. Though Starlight continues to grapple with her insecurities and past mistakes, she never would have presumed she'd be free of the guilt - as it should be.

Yet over the years, she's come into her own as a devoted, passionate, and empathetic friend (despite a few bumps here and there).

But one day, like any other, a strange illness befalls Princess Twilight Sparkle. Starlight is driven to a foal's storybook for answers. Armed with her magic and faith, the ex-student follows a crumb trail leading to one reclusive group dwelling in the heart of an otherworldly bog. If there was any salvation for the pony who'd saved Starlight, it lay solely with them. Except when the time comes for payment to be collected, what's left behind is picked up by Twilight and her friends.

And Starlight doesn't want them to. For how can something so broken be put back together? She'd much rather save them all the trouble...

Dash welcomes her into her life, but how is that she feels drawn to a mare who seems to have it all together? And will Rarity accept her despite her shortcomings and flaws? Most importantly, can Dash fix herself or will she keep making mistakes until it's too late?

After an incident during his duties protecting Princess Cadance, Royal Guardsman Flash Sentry finds himself in a world of trouble. As it turns out, he has friends in high places, and he is selected to be a Royal Inquisitor. Part soldier, part special agent, Royal Inquisitors go where the Princesses cannot. Almost immediately, Flash Sentry is sent to Ponyville, where he must unravel a mystery that has been brewing for centuries. Equestria’s future, and the life of its newest Princess, are on the line, and it’s up to Flash Sentry to discover the truth in time.

Equestria. A large, prosperous country, filled with happy ponies, two loving leaders, and enough resources to last then for centuries.

The changeling Hive. A small, depressing country with too many mouths for the Queen to feed. But that doesn’t mean she can’t fight a war.

With two bombings on Equestrian bases, Chrysalis has sparked a four year long conflict that will claim millions of lives.

Something dark and sinister is chasing Rarity, and she has to find out what it is, and what it intends. Because if this predator is who she thinks it is, she's not entirely sure she doesn't want to be caught.

Magic, the most forbidden art. Only nobles are allowed to learn from the great wizards and witches, and only from special schools set up by the state. For commoners, learning the mystic arts is nothing but a dream, a fantasy that many strive for but none achieve.

With one exception: Stalliongrad. The great, northern city boasted more magic schools than any other, and among them, the only one that accepts low born ponies. It's a dangerous trek to get there, and even more dangerous to simply stay in the frozen city.

Twilight Sparkle, however, will not be stopped. Destined to become the archmage, destined to sit at Princess Luna's side, she will not be stopped.

After all, Archmage Twilight Sparkle has a nice ring to it.

Once upon a time, there was a mare who did not believe in fairytales, and a very different mare who did not believe in herself. Their lives intertwined, weaving together a fairytale like no other, filled with chaos and love, friends and enemies, adventures and tragedies. A fairytale they felt would last forever. But it couldn't.

Be it with a bang or with a whisper, everything eventually must come to an end, whether we like it or not—their story is no different.

With nothing left to lose and everything to gain, all Rarity and Twilight can do is make sure it's an ending worth telling.

The Changeling Hives. Ever since their first unification over 20 years ago, they have been a nation of mystery and danger to the ponies of Equestria. Led by the One Queen Chrysalis, she has made the hatred towards the pony nation a cornerstone of the new changeling society, and now moves towards a new plan, a Great War that will engulf the continent. She will have her honor restored, or her and all changelings will die trying.

But what of the lower queens of other hives? While not in the limelight, they still have to lead their subjects and deal with the day-to-day governing of massive cities. And while Chrysalis may lead them all to victory, these minor royals still have their stories to tell.

Set in the world of the popular Hearts of Iron IV mod Equestria at War.
