On each opposing line, the artillery await a firing order. And a firing order they did get. When each side saw that glorious flare, they pounced like rabid dogs. The words “Crystal Storm” echoed throughout the trenches.

Foresight climbed out next, leaving the whimpering pony alone in the crater. He looked around; the melee had not gotten better. Both sides were still deadlocked. Foresight looked around, before noticing Luna cutting down a changeling. He growled, rushing forwards. He raised his sidehoof, firing it at Luna. She yelped, collapsing against a tree. 

Foresight panted, stepping over her. She winced, looking up. She snarled. “Is this the part where you give your monologue?”

Foresight held onto Chrysalis with his right hoof, clutching his sabre in his left. As the Queen approached the battle, he raised the sabre, ready to cut down anyone he needed.

And so, he did. When Chrysalis ran past an Equestria, Foresight swung the sabre swiftly, cutting them down. And if he wasn’t slicing and cutting, he was kebabing ponies, kicking them off after a while of carrying them. Chrysalis circled back, charging in for another charge. And another. And another.

Outside, the changelings had been sent outside. Foresight sat in the wagon. Baxter climbed in beside him, followed by Curvature and Lyce. Lyce stretched. “Do you think Chrysalis will settle this whole thing?”

“More than likely,” Curvature replied, adjusting his glasses.

Foresight leaned against the wooden wall of the wagon. They waited for the Queen. Foresight sighed, looking over to Curvature. “Hey, I’m gonna take a nap,” he said, yawning. “Wake me when we’re home.”

Foresight looked up to see Chrysalis sitting on her throne, reading something off a sheet of paper. He stepped up in front of the throne. “Uh, your majesty?”

Curvature chuckled. “I hear that a lot.”
