Octavia seems to have everything. A mare who she loves to pieces, a nice apartment in Canterlot, regular concerts for her to ply her craft, not to mention Vinyl helping her enjoy Canterlot's night-life. However, not everything is perfect. Beyond the, by comparison, mundane concerns of hiding their relationship from everyone, baring those closest to them, Octavia's dark secrets and darker past threaten to rear their heads at every corner, and her continued relationship with Vinyl puts the DJ at constant risk

Well, here's my first MLP fanfic. I have written fanfics before, but this is my first crack at ponies. I apologise beforehand for poor writing, and hope you enjoy it regardless. I am open to constructive criticism, so please, if you feel I need to improve in any areas, let me know

EDIT: The story know has a very different dynamic, due to initial similarities with other stories on this site, as well as a need to slow the story down. The plot, however, will remain very much the same, but with reversed character roles

How did it all go so wrong? A DJ in a run-down apartment, with a bottle of booze, an old record and a thorough disgust with her own situation is prepared to go out in one last blaze of indulgence, reluctant to ever look back at the life she so thoroughly ruined. But was it as bad as she remembers? How could meeting one mare lead to a chain of events so drastic? How could one mysterious spark lead her into the situation that would end her life?

Sappy, over the top description over, Author's stream of consciousness begins here. This is just something that came to my mind, and I was knocking-around in my head a while. Don't know if it's any good, and it's DEFINITELY over the top, but I thought it was at the least interesting to write, since I threw away pretty much every comfort I have in my writing style.

Her personality and own moral values do not mix with the fake, corporate ideals of her agent, and her sponsors are only interested in her as long as she conforms to their expectations. Her life is barely her own and soon she will have to decide what's more important; her existing relationships, her fame and fortune, or perhaps something unexpected in the form of a refreshingly grounded Canterlot Elite who just invited her to breakfast during the Canterlot Music Convention.

A Vinyl Scratch x Octavia story where the two Ponies involved don't instantly form a romantic relationship the moment they meet, and instead allows it to grow over time with good old character development.
