So where has the time gone? Seems like just yesterday I was feeding you... but time moves so swiftly, so restlessly. Time is a burden that we all share. I'm sure that you don't remember me, but I certainly remember you. And I love you. I do, dear. I love you.

THIS IS A SIMILAR BUT DIFFERENT UNIVERSE. I wrote this, starting during late Season 2, so I had to make judgment calls based on the information I had. As such, certain episodes thereafter do not match up, or fit in different places. Consequently, it is a very similar alternate universe. Many events happen in both this and the show timeline, but do not always match. I tried to stay consistent when possible, but certain things were lost to disagreements in interpretation. I like how I wrote my story and will not force it to match what came after I started writing. I've also decided to consider this fluidly finished. I still seem to make updates, but I no longer guarantee them.

As the princess's protégé and one of Ponyville's most well-known and influential ponies, Twilight Sparkle has always enjoyed a comfortable life. Together with her friends she has battled and triumphed over dark ponies, dragons, and mischievous spirits. But what happens when her friends desert her and she finds herself hunted by her very mentor after she is wrongfully accused of an attempt on her life? Will she be able to overcome the desertion of her life-long friends? Will she be able to bear the burden of being an outcast? And more importantly, can she unmask the pony behind these acts before they get away with the Princess's murder? It's a race against time to find the culprit before Twilight herself gets caught and subjected to justice in this suspense and pony filled story!

Octavia has hit rock bottom. After the Gala and being forced to play that song, she was cast out by high society. Now she must gather the shreds of her pride, only to have to swallow them to work under the only pony that seems willing to hire her. Now it's time for her to make a name for herself all over again, and she's determined to make it no matter what, even if she has to start over from Scratch.

Fluttershy gets invited to the biggest dance in all of Ponyville. Since she doesn't know many stallions in town, she invites Spike to go with her. However, the dance is known to be a very romantic event, leading everypony that finds out to mistakenly think she has feelings for Spike.

Soon, Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, and Spike try to figure out why Fluttershy likes Spike, and it devolves into an argument on who should be "shipped" with which pony that makes sense, and soon it unravels a string of secret romances, weird secrets, and more in a parody of the world of shipping.

Minor characters will be added to the character list as new chapters go up.

Brace down and buckle up as you are taken along on the wicked rollercoaster ride that is Vinyl's life. Stand beside her as she first learns of her talents as a musician. A group of five ponies who have never met each other. All meet up at the local bar in ponyville where they become good friends as we share their live in ponyville. To introduce from left to right: the pegasus pony up top is Foxglove, the energetic artist who discovers the world below Cloudsdale and how much more color it has. The tri-colored mane pony is Pinstripe, the smartalec brainiac pony who is a resident of Ponyville testing out his new experiments. The blue pony is Starbuck, the passive unicorn pony who is caretaker of a bookstore in Ponyville. The purple unicorn is Skylight Spinner, the bubbly and energetic host of the Ponyville radio station. And the orange pegasus pony is Radburn, the mellow pot-bellied owner of the local pub. Join them in their crazy antics. From fun to life to romance.

It has been several months since the disappearance of Twilight Sparkle..

One night, after watching her sister raise the Moon and set the heavens alight, Princess Celestia begins to bed down for the night, only to be interrupted by portal forming in her room. From out of the portal comes none other than Twilight Sparkle, garbed in strange armor.

Princess Celestia, along with Luna, Cadence, and Shining Armor, are overjoyed by the Element of Magic's return, but are justifiably curious as to where she had been and what she had been doing. And so, Twilight begins her tale. A tale of survival against impossible odds. A tale of a people fighting for the most basic right of all sentient beings. The right to exist.
