A single changeling is blamed for making Chrysalis' plan to take over Equestria fail. He's banished and thrown out of the hive, ending up somewhere far away.

Luckily, he ends up not too far from a certain well-known village, where he can feed to his heart's content.

Needless to say, not everything goes according to plan.

2 weeks after Mugen, Fuu and Jin split apart, Mugen is wandering through the country side wondering where in the hell he should go next. When he notices a strange patch of fog in the middle of the woods... and when he steps through and the strange fog disappears entirely leaving his stranded in the middle of who knows where!

Twilight Sparkle has a lot of difficulty getting a good night's sleep. She has to keep it a secret from the ponies who care about her, because they might disown her. Worse, they might try to help...

WARNING: The first five or so chapters are, on reflection, properly grimdark. If this makes you run away like a puppy that just laid a brown egg on the new carpet, that's your prerogative entirely. Please don't tell me that I'm objectionable for having written it, though, because that's not very nice. Or accurate. At all.

Luna is once again wandering about at night, quiet and alone. She's about to give up the search for a good friend. Celestia is worried, and decides to send her top student to try and help out. It may be her last hope at saving her sister from her own emotions. This is the fateful night that Luna may make her first real friend, and maybe even more.

What if there were actually troubles in the newly-formed Equestria, with racism still very much prevalent, when an old Star Swirl the Bearded was traveling around, performing for orphanages, when he stumbled across two fillies that were isolated from all the others? Raised them as his daughters? Developed all those forms of magic because he was teaching the two girls, who had more magic than anypony else, to control theirs?
