A loving family, a group of trusting and wonderful friends, a few after school activities to help keep their minds occupied, and maybe even a special someone to help shoulder the pain if need be. Though, some didn't have is as easy...

My name is Scootaloo, and this is the story of how I learned to grow up in this superficially unfair world, and what growing up meant to me. Through childish banter, teenage angst, and up into coping with the loss of a loved one, I'll walk you through every dirty detail of my life where I changed the most. All thanks to a kind hearted man, with a deep voice and the softest of smiles.

In life, a mentor can help guide you, help you learn many different things that will assist you in the world. Making gaps appear smaller, mountains feel shorter, and help ease the burden of growing up one lesson at a time. But in the end, it's up to you, the individual to use and apply the knowledge in your own life. And that, isn't always as clear cut as some make it out to be...

Firstly I want to give the biggest and most heartfelt thanks to my good friend and fellow writer, Duskhoof for backing this silly story of mine. I'm hoping I can provide him and you all with a touching, heartfelt and somewhat relatable story. If you enjoyed it, make sure to let me know!

When Twilight Sparkle leaves her Kirin village behind to restore her lost voice, she meets another Kirin named Pinkie Pie, who insists Twilight join her quest to save Equestria by finding the mythical Elements of Harmony, arguing that the Elements can definitely restore Twilight's voice as well.

While Twilight is not convinced these so called "Elements" even exist, she sticks by Pinkie's side regardless, because she knows the army of wrathful Nirik chasing Pinkie Pie down are very real, and she refuses to abandon Pinkie to their clutches.

At the heart of it all, Sweetie Belle learns that her voice has the power to change the course of the world. As Ahuizotl tightens his grip on his victims, she might be the only hope for Equestria.

Can an adventurer past her prime, a stallion with more doubts than answers, and a singer with a heavy heart save the world?

Fluttershy has gone throughout most of her life as the kid hiding in the corner. Not showing her true face to anyone who draws near, all but her best friend Rainbow Dash. The only girl in her Middle school to know her for who she truthfully is. Until Rainbow moved away, Fluttershy vowed to never show her true colors to anyone but her beloved Rainbow!
Meeting the gang in High School with her Masquerade leads to problems when a certian long time crush of hers moves back into town.

A three arced story that begins slowly as partially Comedy and Slice of life and rotates more towards Adventure and Dark in later chapters.

Some school fillies have to deal with school crushes. Others with bullies. Sometimes they have to deal with both. But no filly has ever had to deal with an Evil Tyrant being bound to their shadow and have the power to control their every action. This, of course, seems to be no big deal for Sweetie Belle who seems to even enjoy the stallion's company. Though the feelings aren't mutual. The small filly reminds the old king too much of a filly he used to know... Though it's strange the only place he'd seen her before are in these strange dreams of his. Recollections of a past he can't remember.

Perhaps Sweetie Belle will awake in him that version of himself before he was a Tyrant. Before he was labeled evil. A time from when he was a father. Perhaps she will help him forgive.
