Dragon Heart

I'm a young man with autism, and I wouldn't call myself a fan of the show, let alone a brony. I like the show, but I mostly just humor the show for the sake of my friends and little sister.

Only a year ago, the Arctika sector was all but doomed. The hive ships of the Paranids hung over each world, seeding them with obscene creatures. The Paranids were ready to feast. But these worlds are also the recruiting ground for the Blood Phoenixes; a Chapter of the Empress's own Pony Marines. And they refused to yield.

The veteran Applejack weathered pitiless animal attacks, allowing Pinkie Pie and her scouts to find weaknesses in our ravenous foes. While Hoovitus leveled his righteous fury upon the xenos, Rainbow Dash descended upon them on wings of lightning. And Goliath Nule, the first to fall against the Paranids, returned from death in the form of a mighty Harmonaught. Commander Hammerheart led them all. Together, they fought across the deserts of Dolmaska, through the jungles of Salika, and beneath the great spire-cities of Galantius. They faced an implacable enemy, and they triumphed.

But there is a truth more implacable than any Paranid. A new threat will always emerge. Once, Planet Arctika was the sector's crown jewel, home to billions of souls. Then came the warp storms. They pushed Arctika into a new orbit, encased the planet in ice, and swallowed it whole. For a thousand years, the Warp held Arctika in its terrible grip, depositing untold horrors across its surface. Now, Planet Arctika has returned. It should be a barren ball of ice. But a signal is coming from its surface. A Blood Phoenixes signal. A call for help.

This story is a sequel to PonyHammer 40,000: Magic of War | Dark March

It was the sudden appearance of a Warp Storm at the Pandora System's outer edge that first caught the attention of the Equestrium, and not just the Equestrium. After hundreds of years under the neglectful watch of the Equestrial Guard, nearly every force in the galaxy would descend upon the planets of Pandora, bent only on domination and victory.

Three races had long dwelled in there: the Equestrial Guard, its supposed rulers, the Hog tribes of Pandora II, which the Guard had never successfully put down, and the Necronies, who had slept for untold millennia beneath Pandora III. Where the Discord Pony Marines came from, or how, none could say. Did the Warp Storm bring them... or did they bring the Warp Storm? Both appeared suddenly on Pandora IV and in an eye-blink half the system's Equestrial forces were gone; killed or claimed by the madness of Discord. In quick succession, the others herded to Pandora. The Pony Marines, the Equestrium's super-soldiers, descended on Pandora II, planning to finally cleanse the system both of the troublesome Hogs and the Discord Pony Marines, their sworn mortal enemies. The Dau appeared next, not far above, on one of the planet's moons. In the interests of protecting its ordered Empire from the effects of pony folly, the Dau came seeking to contain the Warp Storm and, in so doing, expanding their territory's border. On their moon they built a mighty fortress, and there forged a space cannon capable of interplanetary devastation. Among the wastes of Pandora III, the Necronies, perhaps awakened by the disruptive forces of the Warp Storm, slowly massed their lethal legions. In quick response, Webway Gates, long unused, flickered to life, and Eldeer poured forth, ready to battle their dark, death-dealing adversaries. Meanwhile, in the shadow of an ancient Portal Gate, the Dark Eldeer slipped stealthily out of the murky depths of the Webway. They would be like carrion birds, flying above the battlefield, and when all were weary from the fight, make the battlefield into a feasting ground. Last to arrive, and perhaps most to be feared, were the Fillies of Battle, holy mares and bearers of the God-Empress's faith. They had come to cleanse this system of corruption and filth. Their faith left them fanatical, unafraid of death and zealous in their cause. Nothing here was clean. All must be purged.

Now, war rages anew, and only the victorious may write their history. Only the victorious will claim the planets of Pandora.

This story is a sequel to PonyHammer 40,000: Magic of War | Winter Strike

The Planet Cronus. Beset on all sides by the tides of war, this once-quiet colony became a savage battlefield. Seven armies clashed on this one world, each refusing to back down, each convinced it was in the right.

From beneath the sands of Cronus's central desert came the Necronies, ancient machines bent on eradicating all life. But another evil already had its eyes on the planet. From the depths of the Warp, the daemonic forces of Discord arrived to enforce their claim. To oppose these fearsome powers, the planet's rulers in the Dau Empire sent their elite soldiers and sophisticated battlesuits into the fray. From the mighty Equestrium of Ponies came the Equestrial Guard, there to secure Cronus for the glory of the God Empress. Like a pink tide, the Hog horde descended on Cronus, caring little for others' claims and sowing destruction in its wake. The Eldeer, ancient enemies of the Necronies, emerged from their Webway to pursue their own agenda on Cronus. And last came the Pony Marines, finest and most uncompromising of the Equestrium's soldiers. Seeing a world beset by animals and heretics, they undertook a great purge.

A Dark March had begun. It could only end with the total victory of one of these factions, and the total defeat of all others.

(I'm gonna go with the Pony Marines for two reasons: One, they're already the canonical victors in the series. Two, they're too awesome to not win the conflict.)

There are no other explanations other than it's Dawn of War cutscenes ponified. Some of the characters' names have been changed for non-plagiarizing and ponification reasons, and there might be some copyright stuff somewhere in which case belongs to their proper owners. I apologize in advance for not asking, but if you let me know I will mention it.
