Having lost the Overlord some time ago, the long-lived advisor imp, Gnarl, and the all of the other minions toil over their loss. This Overlord, was perhaps the best of all compared to the past ones. During this time though, they have found a spell in a tome that may re-unite them with their master. But smally printed in the dusty and aged book, a message states that the spell comes with mixed results. Will they bring back their master? Will they fail? Or, will they re-unite in a mysterious new land ripe for plundering?
This is a satirical comedy of regular stories of heroes against villains. This story, instead of regular ones, features the villain as the protagonist and the heroes as antagonists. If you enjoy a story in which the Mane 6 are finally shown as vunerable instead of invunerable whenever dangers appear, feel free to take a gander yonder.

I loved the whole premise of the Overlord games (Played em all). Though I was disappointed whole the 2 360 games went (sorry just happens and I sent quite a bit of ideas [Though they used em partially in the sequels]). Well whatever this story has a lot of promise don't disappoint me!
One thing I noticed that you missed out on is that the Jester Minion in the first game was actually possessed by the Old Overlord (Who possessed the Mage Leader you fight at the end of the game). Just that premise you would think oh he make an appearance in the sequel but he doesn't what the fuck.
Two are you going to follow the Honorable Evil Path (Which would be more entertaining then slaughtering everything anyway)? Conquer some Diamond Dog Territories and the Everfree Forest (There is more then Equestria to conquer [You got the Diamond Dog Territories, Changeling Kingdom, The 13 Griffon City-States, and Much more since it is considered as big as our world]).
Three your going to need a castle I suggest take the old one in the Everfree and Remake it (Shifting the portal from the meadow to the old keep would be must after taking it over).
Four because your in the MLP Universe who is to say 1 or 2 new breeds of minion can't be acquired (Each realm has got to have some new hive or something.
And finally Five you still have access to the minions of the Abyss which grants you at least in total now a whopping 6 Minion Types (4 original ones and the 2 Abyss Minion Types [Sorry kinda of forgot how many Abyss Minions you encounter]). Even if you just let them run wild they could possibly conquer half of Equestria without difficulty but that would be boring and decimating to your subject numbers (Homicidal minions need leash).

Okay, I know that the Overlord (Old one) possessed the Mage but I thought and looked up that the Jester actually liked the original Overlord better, not possessed by him. That's why he did the whole thing. In fact, he was actually rooting for the original one when there was the whole Minion revolt. And the Jester didn't show up at all during the mourning service of the Overlord, or Overlord II because he was either killed in a horrible way (which I described) or he fled. The only other thing I can tell you is that other minion types are a no-go so far. If I renige on that, then consider your suggestion taken.

Look I wasn't saying anything bad about your story. I was saying stuff that happened in the game that was never fully explained (I am actually really happy you did something to rectify that). I wonder what kind of monsters you will be encountering (The Everfree is only given so many and few are talked about [Though avoiding Stellar Bears at the beginning would be a must]). Minions riding Manticores or Timberwolves could be humorous in a way. If you need any OCs to pop up and assist you can use mine. Not so good at stories but great at coming up with unique characters. Yes I know I can be a bet of a rambler when it comes to game crossovers. I can be pretty straight to the point but I am not like some people that are complete Hard asses about facts and such (Thanks for replying to the previous message).

Just saw your edits. My MLD wasn't that bad, was it? I looked at it compared to the other works (not including the three before it) that were by others and found that it was more popular and well received. Anyway, those were my first days as a writer..boy
makes you think doesn't it? But regardless, I still had some one shots that I am proud of and my other two main works, Carmine and EQ Noire turned out to be good, the latter being featured. So I don't think I was really damned for redemption....hope you enjoy the rest of this story!

Oh, it's nothing personal. I just despise MLD sequels written by anyone but the author of the original story. I still read them if they are well-written and/or has an interesting plot though. Nevertheless, I look upon all MLD sequels as really unnecessary since the original story ended where it was supposed to. The worst I've seen has got to be the one where Brian (I think is the name of the Guy given to him by the MLD fanbase) turns to alcohol despite the fact that he said he was going to live his life the best way he can. Not only that; but he winds up in Equestria too!
