Ever since she was a young filly Octavia had everything planned for her by her parents. What schools she would go to, what instrument she would play, what career she would have after school. Everything went according to plan. That was until Octavia moved away to Ponyville. However, Octavia's parents have one more plan and that is to marry off Octavia. Octavia will not be a part of that plan and with the help of Vinyl Scratch and a few other friends they create a plan to stop the arranged marriage and free Octavia from her parent's hold.

Starlight did something bad. Really bad.

It was just a single moment, a single lapse of judgment. In the heat of that second, she tried to kiss her best friend.

That was three days ago, and she hasn't seen Trixie since. Before that attempted kiss, she'd looked forward to seeing Trixie at Twilight's Hearth's Warming party, but now that it's here, she dreads it. She's going to have to say a lot of the right things if she wants to keep the best friend she's ever had.

Provided, of course, that Trixie even shows up.

Trixie has been best friends with Starlight Glimmer for months now, and the bond between them has never been stronger. But, after a bull-headed mistake and lack of critical thinking, Trixie manages to leave Starlight Glimmer angry and disappointed. Again.

Over the course of a single day, Trixie takes the steps to make things right between the two of them and, in doing so, instantly discovers some feelings inside of her that she never thought possible. Her best friend was kind, sweet, and yes, very hot. And now she was in love with her.

Starlight Glimmer is quitting her job as school counselor to travel Equestria performing magic shows with Trixie. She really wasn't expecting to have such a big going away party, but she's thrilled to see how many people are there to support her. Twilight invites members of the audience to talk about Starlight... and then the fun really begins.

When Vinyl Scratch gets a bit too uppity, her producer, Sound Wave, decides to make it clear that he's in charge of every aspect of her life. Where she goes, what she says, and even who she dates. Octavia just wants to be left out of things, but gets roped in when Wave decides she and Vinyl would make the perfect couple.

Inspired by this story, by which I mean I stole the concept and ran with it. (Technically mature, although the naughty bits are only one paragraph long and clearly labeled as such.)

It’s hard being a reformed villain. Starlight Glimmer had big plans to change the world for the better. That was until Princess Twilight and her friends arrived in her town and derailed those plans. Now she’s living in Twilight’s castle on parole, and without a clear idea where she’s going in life.

Though a unique opportunity presents itself when Twilight offers her the chance to run Ponyville’s Hearts and Hooves Day celebrations, and she agrees to help. With Trixie and Spike by her side, she has new plans for what she sees as an outdated holiday. Pity for her everypony else has different ideas for the Hearts and Hooves Day.

Vinyl Scratch wants to put the past behind her as she starts her new life at Equestria United Community College. But can she overcome that past to get along with her new classically inclined roommate Octavia and learn new ways to enjoy and express music with the Equestrian Girls, the local A Cappella group of EUCC?

Yes, I know, it sounds an awful lot like some other american movie *cough cough* Pitch Perfect *cough cough*, but I couldn't help it! I watched the movie, all I thought of was that Beca was their DJ, and we had our own. So while I did get a lot of inspiration from the movie, this will have a few of it's own twists and turns.

Two side-notes to make: One, thanks to Gwg for the editing and some suggestions for this story! Two, this story takes place in the same universe as the rest of my stories, but happens 4 years before Twilight first comes to Ponyville. ENJOY!
