Dr. Turner has always been a mystery in Canterlot High. Even before the world had been transformed, he was widely known as an eccentric teacher with a mysterious past, an unparalleled grasp of history, and an impossibly keen intuition.

Following her apotheosis as the Spirit of Harmony, Sunset Shimmer begins to notice many little things about the mysterious Doctor that don’t add up. Abilities that seemingly shouldn’t be possible, and sudden appearances and disappearances that seem to go even beyond moving across the known multiverse. Curious, Sunset tries to find answers, only to be met with an enigma as vexing as life itself.

After Fluttershy's first appearance on Shimmercode, her return became a highly anticipated event for the stream's audience. But no one anticipated what would actually happen.

It's been several years since Ditzy Doo helped stop the Elements of Harmony from accidentally destroying the world. Since then, there have been a number of developments familiar to those who followed recent Equestrian history in more conventional timelines. Some saw her assistance; others didn't. Chrysalis she could help with; Starswirl's Unfinished Spell not so much.

But there's one impending disaster that won't be familiar to any onlookers. In this world, ponies age at roughly twice the rate of humans until they turn ten. Little Dinky Doo is seven going on sixteen.

The first impulse of any planeswalker is to run away from the problem. That doesn't work when the problem is her daughter.

Upon returning to the human world, Sunset Shimmer finds Canterlot City twisted into a biomechanical hellscape, with all living things transformed into grotesque mockeries of their former selves. Led by the human Starlight Glimmer, the forces of Phyrexia loom omnipresent over all aspects of life.

Joining her six closest friends, Sunset is now faced with a seemingly impossible task. Can the magic of friendship find a cure for phyresis, or will the world be forever doomed to compleation?

After several months without hearing anything from Princess Twilight, Sunset Shimmer's once-unshakable faith in her friendship begins to falter. Then when an unknown party destroys the portal between worlds, she soon finds herself awakening her planeswalker spark in a moment of anguish.

Arriving on an idyllic plane where different aspects of the soul are brought forth by day and night, Sunset soon finds the very foundation of her identity fractured. The Sunset that returns to Equestria is not herself, but a monster long thought to have vanished, seeking revenge for everything she had lost.

After Starlight Glimmer's misadventure beyond the Magic Mirror, Twilight Sparkle creates an artifact that will allow its wearer to travel between planes of existence without allowing excess magic to leak from one world to another and upsetting the delicate balance of worlds.

In doing so, however, she soon discovers more about herself and the spark that awakened the Element of Magic than she could have ever anticipated, and learns of a secret that Celestia had been keeping from her all her life.

Stranded in the world-spanning city of Ravnica, Twilight Sparkle must now seek to understand herself and the strange new plane of existence she's found herself in, and come to terms with her own role in Equestria and the Multiverse.
