In the town of Canterlot, on a very stormy day, Sisters Celestia and Luna are trying to get home to escape from the storm, that was until Celestia heard the sound of a baby crying in the distance. The sisters came to see what it was and it was in fact a little infant, who was drenched from the rain and crying uncontrollably. Celestia's maternal instincts kicked in and they brought the little child into their home. Since Celestia saw that the infant was inside of a cardboard box, meaning the child's parents must have left her there, the two sisters decided to raise the child as their own, and after the storm ends, and they see the suns rays, they name the child Sunset Shimmer after the shimmering rays of the sunset. Since then, they have been raising a very friendly and energetic little girl. Now come, and listen to the journey of the human world Sunset, from childhood to adolescence to her college years, to her adulthood. It's going to be a wild ride.

I have changed it's rating to T because in future chapters there's going to be a lot of curse words and a little violence, but not a lot.

Several months have passed since Luster Dawn embraced friendship and moved to Ponyville. Despite a few bumps along the way, she has settled in well and even has her own group of friends.

One day while going through one of the Castle's libraries, Luster discovers a strange mirror, one that leads to an entirely new world. Unable to help herself. she sets out to explore what could be on the other side.

Graduation is quickly approaching Canterlot High. While Sunset Shimmer is happy about this celebratory milestone, something has kept her believing there's more to do back in Equestria. Along the way, she begins to think back on her past, try to understand things she had never questioned before, and take an extended return to Equestria. Little does she know, she would eventually uncover an incredibly dark and unexpected truth...

On the night of Christmas Eve, the CMCs are having a sleepover, talking about what to post next as "Anon-a-Miss". Sweetie Belle is getting worried about Sunset, but Apple Bloom and Scootaloo ignored her worries and told her that Sunset will be fine.

But later that night, they were shocked when they were visited by the ghosts of Apple Bloom's parents, who express their disappointment in them and wanting Apple Bloom to confess to being Anon-a-Miss and make things right. When Apple Bloom refuses to do so, her parents then warned the girls that they will be visited by three ghosts later tonight. Apple Bloom brushes this off, thinking her parents were just joking, only to find that they weren't the next time they woke up.

Based on a classic Charles Dickens' story, "A Christmas Carol".

When nightmarish creatures attack and kidnap her sister, Sunset ventures into the unknown and discovers a world teetering on the edge of total darkness.

What begins as a rescue mission turns into a struggle to save a kingdom, as Sunset learns just who and what she is, and the weight that comes with it.

Sunset is all alone.

She no home, no Friends and Especially no Family.

All because the user called Anon-a-Miss who has been using other student secrets to turn them against her. The school hates her. Her friends have abandon her. And she had no family to turn to.

She was all alone.

Or was she? When walking in the cold, she would soon be taken to the home of the people that would change her life forever. And perhaps give to her, the greatest Christmas gift of all.

Life at Canterlot High has been going pretty well for Sunset Shimmer ever since the Fall Formal... well, as well as it can when most students are still giving her side ways glances and expecting her to break bad any second. Still though life seemed relatively normal, that is until her friends start noticing changes in how she looks and acts, that only seem to be getting worse. Now Sunset must venture back to Equestria and beyond in order to find the parents she never knew in order to find the answers to exactly who or what she is.
