When a Necromancer is hurled into the place between places then escapes to another world at the cost of his life it is not the end. Being a Necromancer he returns to life with ease, but is skirting the edges of consciousness, and unable to truly wake as a mysterious figure uses magic to put him on the back of a horse to carry him away into the night.

To make matters worse the phylactery he used to save his own life recreated him as a member of the dominant race with... some errors. His injuries are still present and he's now in a much smaller body with his magic drained to nothingness.

So now he's horribly injured, held captive by an unknown force, in an unfamiliar body, in an unfamiliar world and completely exhausted. He's had worse days. He just can't think of any off the top of his head. So familiar territory then, nothing to worry about.

This small, out of the way town promised to be the perfect place to set up a family practice and actually do house-calls for a change. This is the second fic I ever did for the SFG and still one of my favorites. The idea came to me shortly after finishing Love Triangles and Other Funny Shapes and I needed to write it. Luckily, I did and this fic lead to all my others because I said to myself: "Why stop with just one of the mane cast? I'll do all of them!"

Anyway, there originally was a much more graphic ending, but after all this time, I gotta say I'm not happy with it. I may or may not fix it and write a different one, I have no idea. But for now, it's just a teen rating. I promise plenty of laughs, sweet moments, and tender scenes.

Mirror just wants to have some fun. She thinks moving to Manehattan is just the thing, lots of new ponies to meet, good food, great nightlife scene, random interdemensional portals opening in the middle of the street, the works!

At first she thinks it's a bit strange having a human embassy crop up a few blocks away from her apartment, but when she's one of the select few invited to be the first ponies to visit the planet Earth, it's hard to refuse.

When she does get to the other side however, she finds the roles have been reversed. She's the strange one, and even a little famous as the first extraterrestrial ever encountered by humanity.
