So much can happen in fifteen years. Seven young women proceed through university and start out on careers. An unlikely new ruler and a council of friends grow into their roles. Both ends of a magical portal that connects two worlds are uprooted and moved, as carefully as mature trees, to new locations. One is in a wing of the rebuilt Ceremonial Palace, made over for the purpose. The other is on the Campus.

Every Catholic Church on earth, no matter how small or secluded, has at least one maintenance guy. They're usually called a custos or an under-sacristan.

One particular Church has a maintenance pony instead.

Sunset Shimmer had always known she was destined for greatness. She was more than a prodigy - she was a pioneer of magical excellence, to say nothing of her intelligence and leadership. The Crystal Mirror had shown her what she could become - what she was destined to become. An Alicorn. A Princess.

With trepidation, she approached the lustrous portal in front of her. Her hoof rested on the surface for the briefest of seconds, before she slipped through into the world beyond.

No outdoor sports competition in Equestria has ever been rained out. Every parade takes place under clear skies. The weather is scheduled moons in advance, and those arrangements are enforced by government employees. So in theory, the mere existence of the Weather Bureau should keep ponies from having something to complain about.

In reality, the existence of the Bureau gives ponies an address they can write to.

And when you factor in Ponyville...

Entry written for Jake The Army Guy's Friendship Beyond Equestria short story contest. The prompt is to produce something that spotlights societal workings of one or more underexposed species from the show, so I picked Breezies and Kirin. This story is just a couple of character vignettes and a plot hook at this point, but I'm fond enough of these OCs that I definitely want to revisit and finish their saga someday.

There's a couple instances of swearing, but the vast majority is in untranslated Swedish, so I figured the "Everyone" rating was fine.
