On his way to a meeting in the next town over, Lee James Harrison almost gets thrown off a snowy mid December road by a speeding pick up truck. After he was able to successfully evade said truck, he noticed something rather peculiar out of the corner of his eye right before he slammed into it and drove into a nearby ditch.

Waking up in a bed in a strange room, Lee Harrison finds himself torn from his family life and placed into a new life as a butler, working for a ruler of a species he's never seen before.

He guarded this city almost all of his life, which ended the same way his father's did - by sacrificing himself to protect everyone. Having said farewell to his beloved sister, he was about to move on, but not before splitting a fragment of his soul, creating another Soul Dew in the place of his father's destroyed one, so that part of him could continue to protect what mattered to him most: his sister, and the city. What he didn't know, however, was that this process could lead to... unexpected results.

After a long trans-Atlantic flight Marcus T. Longbottom, a middle aged avid scientist, comes across an odd girl dressed almost entirely in purple in a London Underground station. His rather less than pleasant encounter with the girl winds him up as a casualty in a horrible accident. Then, a month later he encounters the same girl yet again, though this time things got weird to say the least; alternate universe kind of weird. Marcus finds himself trapped inside another body and forced to serve the Royalty of a land filled with nothing but colourful talking ponies and other magical beings. But hey, things can only go up from here, and at least the laws of physics still exist... right?

Rated Teen for swearing and mild violence. As a reference; if you can handle Futurama then you can handle this.

A human wakes up to find that not only has he been altered in species and gender, but that he has also landed halfway across the world from Equestria, in an unfamiliar land.

This is not that story. Not yet, anyway.

A decade in passing and Kaz has gained a reputation as a member of a well-known group of explorers traveling the world. Not once have they set foot on Equestrian soil, and she was content to keep it that way, for her appearance would bring about unwanted attention from a few certain ponies and one certain baby dragon. So what happens when the rest of the group hears of unbelievable tales of Equestria, and decide that it's time they paid a visit?

An impending disaster, that's what.

It was only natural that introspection would come in the wake of something as monumental as a royal wedding. With the festivities of Shining Armor's betrothal long since past, Twilight has come to realize that there exists a tremendous gap in her studies of friendship, that being that she doesn't really have any stallion friends. That's likely because pursuing platonic relations with the opposite gender is rather difficult when there's a growing desire in her heart for something deeper than her friends can provide.

After an afternoon of disturbed study time and unexpected dental catastrophe, the last thing Twilight would have expected was for opportunity to come knocking in the form of a quiet stallion reading in her library. Enraptured by the chance to expand her education, Twilight bumbles into the newcomer's life without the faintest notion of the depth of the pony's loss. Though her faith in friendship is strong, it will take more than her magic to undo the scars of his past, and keep a heart once filled with wonder from succumbing to the power of doubt.

Set after the events of the season three pilot and before Twilight is crowned princess.

This is the end result of a night out with friends. Waking up in a cartoon landscape turned into a talking horse and being mocked by said friend. Yep, my life is just dandy. Follow Soral, as an slightly antisocial foal as he deals with life in equestria. He will make friends, enemies, and maybe make Twilight sware. Oh, and his friend Suzy is there too, she's a pervert.

This is my first real self insert into anything. This will mostly be delivered from my point of view while slightly shifting over to others. The first chapter is just an opening. I am used to writing for FFN so there will be little notes inside of it every now and then. Don't whine at me to change the format cause you will just be ignored.

Greed, power, family, friends, philosophy, knowledge; infinite goals and infinite reasons behind them. Whoever or whatever created these beings are either cunning; to create self motivating creatures that will constantly push the limits of what's possible, or downright cruel; never truly allowing them to feel true fulfillment or satisfaction. The point is humans were created with a void, a missing piece left intentionally empty never to be filled, an undying hunger.'

A bit grim right? The names Rodney, and in case you're wondering, this is the story of my life. A life of Magic, Gods, and regrettably, Ponies. Yeah, freakin-multi-techno-collored-goody-ponies.
But it's not all bad really, got way healthier with a more green diet. Though the lack of meat can be painful at times, that one landed me in less than desired situations. I get to screw with innocent ponies on a regular basis. Didn't kill myself or everyone else with me either. So not a bad deal really, even ended up retiring as teacher.

After being bullied in her school, our protagonist is unexpectedly knocked, or pushed rather, into a strange world filled with ponies! But it isn't the Equestria she knows...in fact, she swears there are more stallions and colts now than there was in the show.
Being faced with a choice later on, what will the young mare/woman choose? Her new life in Equestria? Or her old life back with her family?

The fact that the one who gave you the powers, namely Discord, isn't really helping you in this is another factor.
