i hadn't but spoilers, this has always kind of been my thoughts on Jace. Old magic players, even old vorthoses, tend to have ridiculously dumb hot takes on him that aren't even always so much ignorant of the story as they are born from the same place that leads people to say that Evangelion is a bad anime because 'Shinji is an unlikable character'. Like, Jace is kind of a weird dude who gets dunked on and is a jerk. THat's... the point. It's the point y'all.
