Chapter 88: Flurry Heart

"Can you please explain this again, darling."

"Sure thing, Rarity." said Isaac.

Isaac was currently in the school library as he had all the girls gather around the table as he was facing them. He had his deck on the table as well as his pendulum cards; he was explaining to the group about his new cards. True to his word, he followed through on his promise he made to Rainbow Dash and Twilight.

"Okay this is a pendulum card. You can tell based on the color scheme and how much more writing there is." Isaac then showed the girls his pendulum magician cards. "Now let me show you how it works, to start you put the pendulum scales in place."

"Pendulum scales?" asked Fluttershy.

"Pendulum scales are what you use to pendulum summon. I'll show you," Isaac then picked up his Sorcerer Swordsman and Mirage Magician. "This here is my Sorcerer Swordsman and Mirage Magician and I place them in my pendulum zones."

"Wait! Wait! What's a pendulum zone!?!" stated Applejack.

"Pendulum zones are where pendulums go." Isaac then pointed to the duel mat he had his cards on to help the girls understand. "There are two pendulum zones, the left Pendulum Zone is colored blue with a blue Pendulum Scale jewel. The right Pendulum Zone is colored red with a red Pendulum Scale Jewel. So the left zone is positioned in between the Field Zone and the Extra Deck zone, while the right one is in between the Graveyard Zone and the Main Deck Zone. Now this is how it looks on the dueling mat, but in terms of your duel disk, you just simply put them on the far ends of the duel disk and it should spell the word 'pendulum' to signal that it worked. You all understand that so far?" asked Isaac as the girls all nodded.

"Okay, now then. Pendulum monsters are unique cards that are both spells and monsters. It can be placed in a pendulum zone as a spell card or a summoned in the monster zone as a monster card."

"Okay? And what do they do?" asked Sunset.

"Each pendulum card has a separate effect depending on whether or not it's in the Pendulum Zone or the Monster card zone. You can tell because the pendulum effect is written in a box that's partially transparent as you can still see the artwork." Isaac then pointed to where it was located on the card for the girls to see. "But most importantly each pendulum card placed in one of my pendulum zones gives me a Pendulum Scale. Sorcerer Swordsman gives me a Pendulum Scale of one while my Mirage Magician gives me a Pendulum Scale of eight. So I place Sorcerer Swordsman in the left zone and Mirage Magician goes in the right zone. You read the scale from left to right just like you would reading a book; remember the lowest scale goes in the blue Pendulum Zone while the highest goes in the red Pendulum Zone." Isaac then placed his cards in their respective zones as he stopped to see if the girls needed some more clarification.

"With that all set, I can now perform a Pendulum summon. Since the cards in my two Pendulum Zones have a scales of one and eight, I can special summon any number of monsters with level 2 through 7 all at once." Isaac then picked up some more cards from his deck to show them how it worked. "So that means I summon my Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Black Robe Mentalist and Black Arts Trickster to my field at the same time. Since each of their levels falls within the scale that I've set up."

"Just like that you're able to summon 4 monsters to the field at once? That's insane!!" shouted Rainbow.

"Yeah. That's the power of the pendulum summon." said Isaac with a smile on his face. "But there's a bit more, like for example, I can only pendulum summon once per turn. So it's like a normal summon. Another thing to know is that pendulum cards are special." Isaac then picked up his Black Robe Mentalist and Black Arts Trickstar to show the girls. "When pendulum cards are destroyed or would have otherwise be sent from the field to the Graveyard, they go to the Extra Deck instead."

"Wait, a group of monsters that start out in the main deck but move into the Extra Deck over the course of the duel? That's the craziest thing I've ever heard." said Twilight as she was frantically taking down notes.

"And one last thing, so when my two pendulum cards are sent to my Extra Deck. On my next turn, I can be able to Pendulum summon them again back to the field and I can also summon monsters from my hand." stated Isaac as he showed the girls his two other pendulum cards.

"No way! You can Pendulum summon monsters from your Extra Deck and your hand? That's is so crazy!!!" shouted Pinkie as she was excited for her big brother.

"Yeah, it kind of is." said Isaac as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Imagine my big bro just managed to introduce a brand new summoning method. Just promise when you're famous, you won't forget your little sis." said Pinkie in a dramatic voice.

"Calm down, Pinkie. I don't think that's going to happen. Cause I'm not the first one to introduce this." said Isaac.

"Beg your pardon, darling?"

"Well I did some research, how else do you think I could be able to explain this to all of you and understand it myself. At first it took a while, but I was able to wrap my head around this concept of dueling. Plus I found out Pendulum summoning exist, well at least somewhere else. Where we are nobody knows such a thing exist, but apparently someone across the sea in a different place has actually pioneered this type of dueling. In fact, they say he's famous for making it such a popular thing along with his deck of Performapals. They say he's going to be the next legend to be on the same level as the Big 4, well more like Big 5 if he's that good. He's been wowing the crowd with this Pendulum summoning in some kind of weird environment, something called Action Duels." The girls all looked at Isaac with confused looks to which he returned the same thing. "I know, I don't get it either. But what videos/recordings that I found online, I was able to learn how Pendulum summoning works, well at least the basic foundation."

"Still if nobody here knows about them, then technically you could introduce it to this side of the world. Imagine how much this will change the landscape of Duel Monsters." said Pinkie as she got to thinking. "My big bro, I always knew you were destined for greatness." said Pinkie in her dramatic voice.

"This is a lot to take in." said Sunset as she looked at Isaac's pendulum cards. "But I think this could be something good. Especially, once this side of the world becomes accustomed to this type of summoning. This really changes how the game is played."

"Your right," Twilight was looking over her notes. She then picked up Isaac's deck as she pulled out the cards she was looking for; she then placed them on the table in different piles as everyone gathered around the table. "Now you have a cards for each different type of summoning method. Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, and now Pendulum. You've literally got all your bases covered."

"Not to mention that you got those Egyptian God cards with you, sugarcube."

"Yeah, as good as it is to have these new cards. I'm still content with playing my own style." Isaac then picked up his cards as he put them back into his deck box.

"Now then, you gonna show us in action." said Dash. "Cause I'm itching for a duel against you."

"Wait just an apple pickin' minute, Dash. Ah made it clear that ah'm the one to challenge Isaac next. So get at the back of the line, partner."

"Yeah, says who." said Rainbow as she and Aj got in each other's faces again.

Everybody else just rolled their eyes at how Applejack and Rainbow Dash's rivalry just couldn't seem to end. They all heard the bell as they needed to head on out to their next class.

After that explanation, the girls wanted to see Pendulum summoning in action. So Isaac said he agreed to show them as he asked Pinkie to help him in a practice duel. Later that day, Isaac went to Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna as he wanted to inform both ladies about this recent development. Seems they had heard about this new summoning method due to their connections from across the sea. They told Isaac that they knew the person who did the first Pendulum summoning as they managed to meet with him a few years ago. They even showed him some of his achievements that he was able to accomplish using Pendulum summoning and Action Duels. Isaac then told them if they could contact Mr. William so that he and his team could study his pendulum cards and figure out their secrets. Both ladies obligated Isaac's request as they scanned the cards and sent them to Mr. William who thanked Isaac for his help and promised that they would study them and report anything they found. Isaac thanked everybody as he left for the remaining of his class.

Once school let out, Isaac made his way to Mr. Johnson as he was scheduled for work. Isaac showed and told his boss about his new pendulum cards as he hoped that maybe he could have some answers. It seemed that Mr. Johnson was helpful as he actually was friends with someone who knew about pendulum summoning. It took some time, but Mr. Johnson was able to contact his old friend as the person who talked to both Isaac and Mr. Johnson was actually the principal of the person who first introduced Pendulum summoning across the sea. Isaac was hoping he could talk to said person, but unfortunately he was very busy with his schedule due to him being a dueltainer. Still he promised that when he could meet up with his student; he would inform him about Isaac's situation and should he have any answers then he could ask him for assistance. Isaac thanked the person as Mr. Johnson was glad he got to see an old face.

Despite not finding the answers he wanted, Isaac was content with all the help he was getting in trying to figure out all the mysteries of his pendulum cards. However, as good as understanding these pendulum cards were, there was another thing about to happen. And quite frankly it was much more important.

"What!?!" said the girls.

"I know, I can't believe it either." said Twilight with a smile on her face. "I'm... gonna be an aunt very soon."

"Well we're proud of you Twilight. And Shining Armor and Cadance." said Applejack.

"My word, darling. First you get your favorite baby sitter as your sister-in-law and now you're gonna to be aunt. My word this calls for a celebration."

"Did someone say 'celebration'? Cause that means a PARTY!!!" said Pinkie a she pulled out her party cannon and fired it sending confetti into the air.

"So how's your family taking this?" asked Fluttershy

"My parents are ecstatic. Especially my mom who is finally getting her wish to have some grandkids. My dad is proud that my brother is becoming a father as he's giving him some advice on how to be a parent." said Twilight. "But of course, I'm just happy that I finally get to have a niece."

"So when's the baby due?" asked Sunset.

"According to what the doctors said, Candance is due to deliver in a few weeks. Oh I can't wait." Twilight was now the giddiest she'd ever been as she was anticipating her becoming an aunt.

Sometime later Isaac was with Principal Celestia as he attended his daily lesson of learning the business side of dueling. Despite Isaac understanding all the stuff his principal was teaching him about, Isaac just found the subject all together boring. He was walking out of Celestia's office as he was tired when he heard Twilight calling out to him.

"Isaac, wait up."

"Hey, Twilight. Man, am I glad to see you." Isaac gave his girlfriend a hug as Twilight always seemed to make his day a bit better. "So what's up?"

"Well, I just received some news. My brother, Shining Armor and Candance are expecting very soon." said Twilight.

"That's wonderful news, you're officially going to be an aunt. That was one of your dreams." stated Isaac.

"Yeah, it was. Anyways, I wanted to ask if maybe you could accompany me when Candance gives birth to the baby." said Twilight. "Seeing as how my brother invited you to his wedding, I'll expect he'll want to have his rival there to celebrate the birth of his child. Not to mention my family will want to see you."

"Oh... well... I mean... it's not that I don't want to, but I haven't really got to know your family that much. I mean all they know about me is that I'm a duelist and that I'm currently dating their daughter. Only Shining Armor has actually got to know me, your parents only know me through what you've been telling them."

"That's why this is the perfect opportunity. We both get to see the baby and my parents get to know you a bit better. Please? For me?" Twilight was giving Isaac the puppy dog eyes.

"You know I hate when you do that." said Isaac. "Alright, I'll come." Isaac's response made Twilight perk up as she gave her boyfriend a hug and a peck on the cheek.

Twilight thanked Isaac for agreeing to her idea as she left to head home. Despite him saying yes to his girlfriend, Isaac was still hesitant on meeting with Twilight's parents. And it seemed that it would happen much sooner than he expected. Even though the doctors told Candance she was expecting in a couple of weeks, seems someone didn't agree with that. One day while Cadance sitting down on the couch, she felt a sudden pain coming from her stomach. Soon it turned into unbearable pain as she felt something kicking in her; soon her water broke as she knew it was time. She called Shining Armor who immediately rushed home from his agent team and publicist as he grabbed Candance and they drove towards the hospital. They arrived just as Candance felt the baby coming, so the team of doctors and nurses immediately got to work as they prepared to deliver the baby.

While Cadance was in the emergency room, Shining Armor had called his family about the developing situation. Twilight Velvet and Night Light immediately got in their car with Spike and they drove to CHS. They were able to get Twilight an early dismissal as they told Celestia it was a family emergency. Soon the whole Sparkle family arrived at the hospital as they found Shining Armor in the waiting room freaking out. Shining Armor told his parents about how Candance was being treated, not to mention that his child would soon be here as he was thinking on how he would be as a father. Velvet was able to calm her son down by giving him a couple of slaps to the face which seemed to work; soon a doctor came towards them as he informed that Cadance's pregnancy was a success.

He then brought them to the room where they were holding Candance. The whole Sparkle family entered the room as Candance was resting while the nurse was holding her baby. Shining Armor made his way to his wife's bedside as he checked on her.

"Congratulations, Mr. Shining Armor. You're now the proud father of a healthy baby girl." The nurse then handed Shining Armor his child as he got a good look at her.

The entire Sparkle family all surrounded him as they too wanted to see the baby. Shining Armor was now crying as he was holding something that was not only precious, but so small and cute.

"Are you crying?" asked Twilight.

"Of course not." sniffed Shining Armor. "It's liquid pride." Shining Armor was doing his best to maintain his manliness. Soon he heard something.

"(Baby noises)"

"I think she's trying to talk." said Night Light.

"Hey there, my little princess."

"(Baby noises)"

"I'm your father." said Shining Armor. "And these are your grandparents and your aunt. And that lovely women is your mother."

"D-daddy." cooed the baby. It was enough to make Shining Armor's heart melt as he started to release even more liquid pride.

"Let me see her," said Candance as she was now holding her kid. She gave a few bounces as she got to see her lovely girl. "Oh, aren't you just the cutest."

"M-momma."

"Yes, I'm your mother." said Candance as the baby made some happy noises.

"So what are we going to call her?" said Twilight Velvet.

It had been a couple of days after Candance's pregnancy as Twilight was able to inform her friends about the baby arriving. The girls were happy that Candance had a healthy baby girl as they all wanted to give her and Shining Armor some gifts for the baby. Twilight thanked the girls for their support; she told Isaac the news and he too congratulated Cadance and Shining Armor on now being parents. Twilight told Isaac how her family was taking a weekend trip to a lakeside house and she wanted to invite him as a way to make up for not bringing him to when she went to the hospital. Isaac was still hesitant on meeting Twilight's parents, but he knew Twilight really wanted this so he agreed to it. With that the week flew by as Isaac was now in the car ride with Shining Armor, Spike and Twilight as they were traveling to their getaway destination. They arrived at their location as they saw a huge lake that they could so swimming, canoeing, even fishing. There was even a campfire set that they could use, even a small town a few minutes away where they could visit.

The trio arrived at the house as they got out of the car and unloaded their bags. Isaac was taking deep breaths as he prepared himself for what was awaiting him. Shining Armor then opened the door as all three of them entered the house with Spike following behind them. They all put their bags in the living room as there was Twilight's mother and father waiting for them. Both Shining Armor and Twilight gave their parents a hug as they gave Spike a good petting. Soon they turned their attention towards Isaac who was watching them.

"Mom, dad. This is Isaac." said Twilight as she finally got the chance for her parents to actually see her boyfriend.

Twilight Velvet now got up close as she examined Isaac. Soon she had a smile on her face, "So Twilight dear, am I too expect some more grandchild very soon." she said smugly.

"Mom!!" shouted Twilight as she was embarrassed that her own mother would say something like that.

"I mean, based on his appearance, plus he's got some muscle on him." said Velvet as she began to touch Isaac's arms. "He seems like the kind of person who can give you a child."

"Mom! Please, you can't say things like that." Twilight was now turning all sorts of red as well as Isaac. "Isaac and I aren't even thinking about that idea yet."

"I'm just teasing, Twilight." her mother said as she gave Isaac a wink which made him turn red.

"So where's Cadance?" asked Twilight.

"She's upstairs with the baby, we were waiting for you to arrive so that we could all see the little one together." said Velvet.

Soon everybody began to head upstairs, Isaac wasn't sure if he should go with them as it seemed like a family thing. Twilight saw this as she told Isaac to come along as she climbed up the stairs; Isaac took a minute to collect his thoughts as he began to follow them. He made his way to the room as he saw the entire family surrounding the crib; Spike was on the bed as he had his paws on the edge of the crib as he leaned in to see the child.

"Oh isn't she just the cutest?" said Velvet.

"I finally got her to stop crying." said Cadance as she petted Spike. She then looked up and saw Isaac standing by the door. "How are you, Isaac?"

"Hey Cadance."

"Isaac. Don't you want to see the baby?" asked Twilight.

"Oh, I shouldn't. This is a family thing, plus she might not like me."

"Nonsense." Twilight then grabbed Isaac's hand as she dragged him to the crib.

Isaac still felt like this wasn't any of his concern, but he couldn't do anything as Twilight had managed to literally drag him towards the crib. Once he was there, he was able to see the baby. She had pastal pink skin, her eyes were light opal and her hair was purple and blue with a some light arctic blue highlights. Seeing this made Isaac smile which didn't go unnoticed by Twilight who also smiled.

"Hey there, Flurry Heart." said Twilight in a soft tone.

"(Baby noises). T-twily."

"That's right. Auntie Twily is here." said Twilight as she tickled Flurry Heart's stomach. "And I brought someone with me, this here is Isaac. He's my boyfriend."

"No offense, but should you be telling her that when she's this young?" asked Isaac.

"It's not like she gonna remember." said Spike.

"Hey, Isaac. Want to hold her?" asked Shining Armor.

"Oh. Oh no, it's quite alright-- and I'm holding her, okay." said Isaac as they ignored his request and he was now holding the small thing in his hands.

"Uh, hey kid," was the only thing Isaac could think of.

"(Baby noises). U-u-uncle?"

That response alone nearly made Isaac lose his grip. For the first time in his life, Isaac was speechless and his mind was now blank. His face was full of shock and uncertainty at hearing Flurry Heart's response. In all his years, he never once experienced something like this. And all it took was one thing to be said by Flurry Heart to make Isaac lose his confidence. Seems the whole Sparkle family all had different looks as they looked at the two of them.

"Aww, she thinks you're her uncle." said Shining Armor. His response made Velvet and Cadance had big smiles as a certain thought was going through their minds.

"Uh..."

"No, Flurry Heart. Isaac isn't your uncle." said Twilight as she rushed to help her boyfriend.

"Not yet anyways." said Velvet with a sly smile.

"Mom!! Please just stop." Twilight was now embarrassed by her mother's comment.

"U-uncle." Flurry Heart then began to let out some happy noises.

"Okay. Can somebody please take her off my hands?" pleaded Isaac as he really wanted to stop Flurry Heart from saying anything else.

"Come to mamma, Flurry Heart." Cadance then grabbed her baby from Isaac who was relived. "Time to for nap, sweetie." With that Cadance began to put her baby into the crib as she and the rest of the adults began to help her put Flurry to sleep.

Isaac quietly slipped away as he needed to take a deep breath. He still couldn't get Flurry Heart's response out of his head as it plagued on his mind. Isaac looked at his hands and he could see that they were shaking; he also thought back to what Twilight's mother had said about him and Twilight. Now all of this was causing Isaac to take deep breaths as he tried to clear his mind. It was about the evening when the family had gathered around to play some family games, well Isaac was outside as out on the porch as Spike was next to him chomping down on a chew toy. He was still thrown off by what Flurry Heart had said. He was leaning on the railing as he looked out towards the lake and the nearby woods.

"Maybe this wasn't a good idea." said Isaac.

"Well that depends on how you look at it." said a voice.

Isaac turned his head and saw Twilight's father coming out with a drink in his hand. Spike noticed this and his instincts were telling him that something was about to happen; he quickly chewed on his toy as he silently hid under the porch swing as he watched the scene play out from the two males. Now Isaac was really scared as it was just him and Twilight's father with nobody to interrupt them.

"Uh, Mr. Sparkle..."

"Son. No need for the formalities, just call me Night Light."

"... Night Light." said Isaac with uncertainty.

"Lighten up, son. I've just been meaning to talk with you for quite awhile." he said as he took a sip from his drink. "You've been taking care of my daughter."

"Yes, sir."

"You know when Twilight first told me about how she was getting into a relationship, I was happy for my little girl." Night Light was now in the same position as Isaac as he leaned on the railing overlooking the landscape. "Twilight's been asocial seen she's been a young girl, always keeping her head in books and focusing on academia. But then she met you," Night Light then looked at Isaac who was scared on what he might say, "And she seemed the happiest I'd ever seen. She told me about a boy who was able to make her feel special and reevaluate her views on Duel Monsters. So when I saw you today, I had my opinions."

"Which were..."

Night Light took another sip before he looked at Isaac. "You're different. Especially when it comes to dueling, I've seen what my kids can do. Hell, where do you think they learned their skills from? But you, you've got something that I can't fully describe. It's something that only a very select few have that allow them to have success. But I see that makes my daughter happy, and that's all I ask."

"Well thank you, Mr. Spar- I mean, Night Light."

"Tell me. What's your future plans for you and Twilight?"

"What???" said Isaac as he was caught off guard.

"I mean, do you have a plan? Are you going to continue your relationship with Twilight after you both graduate? Do you plan to go your separate ways? Or are you going to marry her?" said Night Light as he started to raise his voice a bit with an authoritive tone. Spike heard this and he let out a few whimpers.

All that Night Light was saying made Isaac become speechless, just like what happened with Flurry Heart, Isaac didn't know what to do or say. "I... I... Don't get me wrong, sir. I love Twilight with all my heart and I want to make her happy. But in terms of our relationship, I- I don't know." Isaac quickly looked up as he saw Night Light was now fast approaching him.

"That's not to make Twilight upset, but I just don't know what the future holds. Right now we're content with just taking our relationship day by day, but in terms of what happens to me and her after we graduate or years from now. I don't know." said Isaac as he was cowering in fear as Twilight's father was now staring him down with a dead serious look on his face.

Night Light just stared at Isaac who was afraid what he might do. He then lifted his hand up and brought it down as Isaac closed his eyes as he feared for the worst; he then opened them as he saw Night Light's hand on his shoulder, "Tell me, do you see yourself becoming a pro?"

"Everybody says that, and I'm not discrediting them. But at the same time, I feel like there's more that I can do besides just dueling."

"Do you see yourself getting married? Having a family?" said Night Light with a stern tone.

"I- I don't know."

"Do you see yourself with my daughter, with Twilight?" That time Night Light had raised his voice the loudest it had been as his grip on Isaac's shoulder tighten. Isaac could feel the bit of pain from shoulder as he looked at Night Light.

"I- I don't know." said Isaac as he put his head down. "Like I said, I don't know what the future holds for me. More importantly, if that future involves Twilight. I'm just unsure."

"Thank you." Night Light then let go of Isaac's shoulder as he started to make his way back inside. Isaac was stunned by this as Night Light looked at him one last time before heading in.

"Thank you?" said Isaac as he was confused.

"What was that all about?" said Spike as he emerged from his hiding place and looked on with Isaac.

After a couple of moments, Isaac and Spike started to make their way back into the house as they saw Candance and Shining Armor playing with baby Flurry Heart. Spike then went off as he joined Twilight in entertaining her niece. Isaac just watched them all when he was soon grabbed by his hoodie and found himself in the kitchen.

"What the hell?" said Isaac as he looked at the person who grabbed him.

"Now I have you all to myself." said Twilight Velvet. She had been meaning to get some alone time with Isaac and she finally got the opportunity.

"Uh, Mrs. Sparkle. What-"

"Call me, Velvet."

"... Velvet. Uhm, what do you mean when you said, 'Now I have you all to myself'?". Isaac was getting worried on what Twilight's mother might do to him.

"Like I said, I'm been meaning to get you all alone. And now that I have, I need to ask you something?". Velvet was now getting closer to Isaac as she looked at him. "Tell me, have you asked Twilight for her hand in marriage?" she said with a giddy smile.

"What!?!" shouted Isaac as almost everybody in the house heard him.

"You know, have you proposed to her?"

"We're still in high school. Plus it's kind early to thinking about that kind of stuff." shouted Isaac.

"It couldn't hurt to prepare, why I was a bit older than Twilight is now. But even I was thinking about the idea of being married and having kids. And I was blessed that I got to meet Night Light and not only gain a wonderful husband, but two adorable and lovely kids." Velvet had a smile on her face as she looked at her family. "So tell me, do you have the perfect spot all planned out? Twilight is a very detailed orientated and punctual girl, she needs every little detail to be planned out and executed to perfection."

"Mrs. Velvet. No disrespect, but Twilight and I are just dating. We don't have any plans on taking our relationship any further, at least I don't think." Isaac was now thinking about his conversation with Night Light a few moments ago.

"Oh hush now, you're definitely gonna marry her. You're just nervous is all, now then I have a plan. So all we need is some candles, smooth music..."

"Mrs. Velvet!" said Isaac with a stern tone as it caused her to drop her act and look at him. "I told you, me and Twilight are just content with where we are in our relationship. I don't know if I'm even going to marry her, heck we after we graduate highschool, I doubt we'll ever be together." Isaac had a bit of sadness in his voice when he said that. "I love Twilight, I really do. And I would do everything I can to make her happy, even give up dueling if it came down to that. But in terms of the future, I don't know. Relationships come and go, I know that. And I also know that whoever you're with doesn't necessarily mean they're the love of your life or the person who you want to spend the rest of time with."

Twilight Velvet saw Isaac's face as she took in his words. She was so caught up in wanting to become a grandmother, that she didn't stop to ask the person who was dating her daughter if he was content with marriage.

"The future is full of unknowns and it's scarying. I'll admit, I'm scared. I don't know if our relationship is going to last that long, heck it might not even last till next month. Let alone tomorrow. That's why I'm trying to enjoy every single moment I have with her, cause should we go our separate ways, then I want to have something to look back on so that I don't forget our time together." Isaac felt his eyes tear up as he wiped them away. "But I just don't know! I don't know what's going to happen between the two of us. I'm sorry." Isaac then collapsed to his knees as he had his head down.

"Ohh, Isaac." Velvet then dropped to her knees as she gave Isaac a quick and comforting hug. "You don't have to apologize, I should be the one to say sorry. It's just that ever since I had Twilight and Shining Armor, all I wanted was to become grandmother and have some grandkids before I turned old and grey. And when Cadance was pregnant, I guess I just rushed to conclusions and wanted more. I never stopped to consider what you or Twilight might want."

Isaac looked at Velvet as he was hearing her words.

"When my kids were young, we were a happy family. Night Light was the best man I could ever ask for as he always kept the two of them entertained. Even more so when he introduced them to Duel Monsters, of course I never really grasped the idea but I still saw how happy it made them. So whenever Twilight or Shining wanted a battle, I did my best to entertain them, thankfully Night Light was able to teach the basics. Over the years, both of them followed their own path and they became more invested in the world of Duel Monsters. Shining Armor with plans on becoming a pro and Twilight wanting to go into card design." Velvet was thinking back on how fast she saw her children grow up. "And then Shining met Candance and I couldn't tell you how happy I was. I finally got my wish and then Twilight finally is able to have a sense of happiness that I've haven't seen even when I spent time with her. And now that I see you, I understand why you make her happy."

Isaac's sad expression turned a bit upside down as he and Velvet got up from the floor.

"I understand that you aren't sure about the future of your relationship. But know that whatever happens, I'm grateful for all you've done for my baby girl." said Velvet.

"Thanks, Ms. Velvet. I promise to continue to make Twilight happy, even should our relationship dissolve." said Isaac.

"Thanks, but keep your chin up. The future may be uncertain, but sometimes that could be a good thing. I wouldn't mind having a son-in-law like you." she giggled before giving Isaac one final hug.

Soon Flurry Heart started to yawn as it served as the signal that it was time for her nap. With that all the adults began to head upstairs which left Isaac and Twilight alone in the living room. Spike sniffed the air and once again his animal instincts were telling him something.

"How's my family treating you?" asked Twilight as she sat in a chair.

"Well your father hasn't beat me up yet, so I think I'm doing good." said Isaac with a bit of sarcasm as he sat on the sofa. "Twilight, what's all this?"

"What do you mean?" she said with a smile.

"You know what I mean. This. You and me, our relationship. Is it going to last?" said Isaac.

"I think this is where I leave." said Spike as he could tell what the situation was based on Isaac's tone. He then jumped out of Twilight's arms as he made his way upstairs as the two teenagers began to talk.

"Isaac?" Twilight had gotten up from her chair and now sat next to her boyfriend.

"I'm just wondering about the future. Relationships are something that everybody goes through and not all of them are successful. So what happens to us, what happens when we graduate highschool? Do we just end this relationship and go our separate ways? Do we forget about each other and focus on our own lives? I don't know about any of this. The future is something that I can't see and it terrifies me." said Isaac as he put his hands to his head. "With all that's been happening, it's making me question how our relationship will turn out and if all of this is just something of phase."

"Isaac?"

"I'm sorry!" Isaac still had his face buried in his hands as he tried to hold back the tears.

Twilight saw what Isaac was going through; she took in his words as she began to think. She always kept the idea of how their relationship would turn out, her brother had met Cadance when they were in highschool and they still retained their relationship after they graduated and even got married. But now she was wondering how her life would turn out and if what she and Isaac had was just a teenager thing. She put her hand on Isaac's shoulder as it caused him to look at her. Twilight then did something unexpected as she quickly sat on Isaac's lap as she looked at him, she undid her ponytail as she put both of her hands to his face. Then she quickly captured his lips with hers as she leaned into it. She broke away to look at Isaac.

"I love you," she then gave him another kiss, "I love you." Once more a soft kiss, "I understand what you're saying, but I don't care about that. I care about this, right now, me and you." She then grabbed Isaac's hand as she brought it past her bosom to where her heart was positioned. "Do you feel that, my heart is beating. Cause I love you and I don't care about anything else. The future of our relationship is up in the air, but as of this moment, right here and now, I'm certain of one thing. And that is that I want to be with you." She then gave him another kiss.

"I want to be with you as well." said Isaac as he brought his hand up to Twilight's cheek.

"Then show me." Twilight then captured Isaac's lips once more as she wrapped her arms around him to which he did the same as he held his girlfriend in his lap.

Soon Twilight began to take action as she took off Isaac's cap and threw it to the side as she began to move her hands and explore Isaac's body. She moved her hands around as she felt Isaac's arms and then felt his body as she could feel the bits of muscles that were present as it caused her to turn red and let out a moan as she was still kissing him. Isaac then began to do the same as he first stroked Twilight's hair to get a reaction our of her. She gasped when he did that, but she eventually melted in his arms as he continued to do that.

"Mmm..." she moaned. "That feels so nice..." Her hair was so soft like a feather. She rested her head against Isaac's chest as he continued to play with her hair and planting small kisses along her neck and whispering into her ear. Soon she captured his lips again as she continued their little make-out session.

Their lips touched and Twilight melted in Isaac's arms once more. He began to move his lips and she perfectly followed. Every movement of her sweet lips sent waves of unimaginable bliss through Isaac. He wrapped his arms around Twilight's waist and pulled her close as their lips molded together. Twilight used her hands to caress Isaac's cheek. In return, Isaac used one of his hands to massage her waist, evoking some sexy moans from her. Passion was fogging both of their minds as they experienced this. And in an instant, it was over. Both looked at each other as their foreheads touched. Twilight still wanted more so she took it a step further as she was able to gently push Isaac down onto the cushions. She then slowly crawled on top of him and gave him another kiss as they continued. Only this time, Isaac felt her lips separate before her tongue gently poked at his lips. This immediately made his lips part as well, allowing her tongue to enter and make a new friend. Twilight let out a soft moan of pleasure as the two tongues playfully explore their new surroundings. While they were doing this, Isaac did a bold action as he began to caress Twilight's waist and slowly had his hands travel down south. He then slid them under Twilight's skirt as he felt her thigh and upper leg before they felt something firm. This caused Twilight to let out a gasp as she felt Isaac's hands on her butt. He then began to feel it as she let out a moan of pleasure as their mouths were still connected. Isaac eventually let out a moan of his own as he enjoyed the feeling of Twilight's bottom as it was nice and round.

After a couple of minutes, Twilight broke the kiss, leaving a small trail of saliva that connected their lips. She then looked at Isaac before she nuzzled against his chest as she laid on top of him. She could feel Isaac's heartbeat and it was in synch with hers as if they were one. It gave her a calm sensation as she closed her eyes. Isaac continued to stroke Twilight's hair; he was just simply enjoying this moment with his girl as it helped to ease his mind. Soon Twilight lifted her head up as she grabbed Isaac's cap and put it on before capturing his lips into another soft kiss.

"That's what I needed." said Twilight. "I don't know what will happen between us, but I know one thing for sure. I'll always remember you, Isaac. How can I not? That's why should things end abrupt between us for a reason, I'm glad to have gotten the chance to know and meet you. And if I could do it all over again, I would do it in heartbeat. Cause I really do love you."

"So do I. Twilight, I'd be lying if I said that I'm not scared of what may come. But moments like this, I'll always treasure." said Isaac as he caressed Twilight's cheek.

He then captured her lips once more as they just laid there till they fell asleep. Twilight's parents came down sometime later and saw the couple just cuddled up together as they were both fast asleep with Isaac having his arm around Twilight who still wore his cap. They just simply smiled at the young kids and brought a blanket over them as they decided not to disturb them. Spike made his presence known as he too came down with them and soon jumped up on the couch and decided to nap next to the couple as he let out a yawn and closed his eyes. Velvet was just giddy at how she prayed that Twilight would be able to give her another kid or so, and she was hoping that she could be able to call Isaac her son one day.

The next morning was full of activities as the whole family and Isaac began to partake in plenty of activities. They made their way to the docks as they had a couple of fishing lines and a boat. Velvet wanted to take Shining Armor on the water as she had a canoe with them, Night Light wanted to show Isaac how to fish. Meanwhile Twilight was near the picnic area with Cadance and Flurry Heart who simply was giddy from watching her family have fun. Spike was trying to keep Flurry Heart entertained as he tried telling some jokes, but ultimately, Flurry Heart just simply wrapped the little dog into a tight hug as he just smiled as she petted him.

Isaac never had the opportunity to go fishing due to him being from the city of Chicoltgo which had little to no fishing places. So Night Light took it upon him to show how it was done, he considered it a sort of father-son bonding thing. Isaac was quick to shut that comparison down due to the thing that still plagued his mind about him and Twilight's relationship, that and it seemed kind of offensive to say that when he had an actually son in Shining Armor. Regardless, Night Light told Isaac what the proper technique was as he casted his line with Isaac replicating his actions. From there they just waited which allowed Night Light the opportunity to ask Isaac some questions about his passion for dueling. So they both sat at the edge of the dock as Isaac began to tell him about his story. He told Night Light about his idol that got him into the game and how he worked hard all his life to become the best. He then took out his deck as he allowed Night Light to see his deck, it seemed Night Light really took a liking to Isaac's deck as it reminded him of when he was younger how he wanted to have a Dark Magician, but he never got around to doing so. Isaac now knew where Twilight got her organization personality and love for spellcasters from.

Sometime later their lines began to tug but it ended up being nothing. Despite not catching anything, Isaac was still glad to have spent time with Twilight's father. It was then that Twilight's mother and brother came back, as she had her hair all wet and drenched with an excitement on her face; Shining on the other had looked terrified. Soon everybody came by as they helped them back onto the docks.

"You okay, honey?" Cadance asked as she was holding Flurry Heart.

"I'm fine, just little wet is all. Though if you don't mind, I might need to change my pants." said Shining Armor as he quickly zipped away.

"Funny daddy." said Flurry Heart.

After that the whole group made it back to the house as they all ate some food. Once they finished their meal, Shining Armor wanted to give his baby girl a show. So he decided to entertain her with a duel; Flurry Heart seemed to like that as she was clapping and spitting. With that Shining Armor asked Twilight for her help in entertaining her niece. Twilight knew this would happen, but seeing as she wanted to be the 'best aunt ever'. She agreed to her brother request as it would allow her to get some payback from their last sibling rivalry. So everybody gathered around as they pulled a couple of chairs and began to watch the Sparkle siblings go at it. Spike jumped into Isaac's lap as he cheered on Twilight to win. Twilight used all her past knowledge she had when she took on her brother, but given that she was up against him and his Blue-Eyes, she struggled to take down even one of them. It wasn't long that Shining Armor had defeated Twilight who was angry that she still couldn't beat her brother.

"Daddy." cooed Flurry Heart.

"Did you enjoy daddy winning, Flurry?"

Flurry Heart gave a couple of spits as she tried to express her happiness, "Again."

"Again, alright. Anything for daddy's little girl." said Shining Armor as he rubbed her tummy.

This time it was Night Light who wanted to provide the entertainment for his granddaughter as he took out his duel disk and slotted in his deck. That and the battle he saw between his two kids got him fired up and he wanted to partake. Twilight sat back down by Isaac as she still had a pouting face.

"You did good." Isaac did his best to cheer up his girl.

"Still, I lost. I hate Shining Armor and his stupid dragons." Twilight pouted even more as she crossed her arms. Spike then jumped from Isaac's lap to Twilight's as he tried to cheer her up by licking her face which worked as she let out a laugh.

Isaac then gave Twilight a quick kiss on her cheek, "Still, I loved watching you duel. It's one of the many things that I'll never get tired of."

Twilight's expression soft as she blushed; she gave Isaac a quick peck as they turned their attention back to the duel happening between her father and big brother. Despite not having a duel in so long, Night Light was showing his son a couple of tricks that he didn't know. Velvet was just swooning at how she loved watching her husband work; the dominance, the precision, anymore and she would have basically fallen in love with him again. Cadance and Flurry Heart were cheering on Shining Armor as they supported him when he was in a tough spot. Soon the battle ended with Shining Armor being able to summon his Blue-Eyes White Dragons and getting the win.

"Well, did my little girl like that?" said Shining Armor.

"Yeah." she cooed as Shining Armor planted a kiss on her tiny cheek to which she giggled.

"Cheer up, honey. You did good, I mean, you certainly caught my attention." Velvet said with some seductiveness in her voice.

"Well then, if you thought that was impressive, then wait till tonight." Night Light said with the same tone of foreplay as he wiggled his eyebrows which got the message as Velvet immediately got turned on.

"Mom! Dad! Not in front of us." said Twilight as she was grossed out by her parents sexual innuendos.

"Again." said Flurry Heart.

"I suppose I can give daddy's little princess one more match." Shining Armor then looked at Isaac who knew what he was doing. "So care to entertain my daughter, Isaac?"

Isaac looked at Twilight who just simply smiled, he then looked at the rest of her family who were also giving him some supportive smiles. "Seems like I have no choice." Isaac then got up as he took his position across from Shining Armor. He then slotted on his duel disk as he opened his deck box on his belt and put it in as he activated his duel disk to project a gold card tray. "Get ready, Shining Armor. It's time to duel!!" shouted Isaac. Seem his response got a happy spit from Flurry Heart.

Twilight and her family all got seated as they prepared themselves to see two prime duelist compete. Both Night Light and Velvet heard about Isaac's skills as a duelist from their daughter. But this time they were going to get a first hand experience on seeing just how good he really was and safe to say they were not disappointed. Back and forth, Isaac and Shining Armor went. Despite not being a big fan of Shining's dragons, Isaac kept his composure and found many ways to get rid of them. Seems they both were impressed by Isaac's antics, especially when he played his two star magicians.

"Now my pet, take out Isaac's life points! Ultimate White Lightning!!!" commanded Shining Armor as his Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon prepared to finish this duel.

"I'll send Kuriboh from my hand so that I take no battle damage this turn." Isaac's tiny creature appeared as it protect its master from losing. Kuriboh was able to nullify all of Shining Armor's attack as it wiped its forehead. "Thanks, Kuriboh." Isaac gave the tiny thing a pat on the head as he nuzzled against Isaac's face.

"Aww, what a cute little thing." said Velvet as the sight of Isaac and his Kuriboh made her heart sank.

"Hey!!!" shouted Spike as he took offense to that comment made by Velvet.

"It's okay son, you'll get him next time." Velvet was doing her best to support her son. "And Isaac, crush that dragon of his!!" It seemed that Velvet was also cheering for Isaac to take down her son.

"Mom!!" said Shining Armor as he couldn't believe his own mother was rooting against him. "In that case, I'll place one card facedown and end my turn. Let's see how you get out of this one, Isaac."

"With pleasure, my draw."

"So Twily, any idea on how Isaac is going to deal with Shining Armor and his pet?" asked Night Light.

"There's a lot of different ways, but I think Isaac might have other plans. Just watch." With that they both turned back towards the duel as they were about to see Isaac's plan.

"Hope you're ready, Shining Armor. Cause I'm about to blow your mind away, and we've got lovely audience for all to see. Now then let's begin the show, I'll set the Pendulum Scale with the Scale 1 Sorcerer Swordsman and the Scale 8 Mirage Magician. I'm taking control of this duel, starting now!" shouted Isaac. Isaac's duel disk registered what he was doing as he placed the Pendulum cards on the far side of his card tray as the word 'Pendulum' in rainbow coloring spelled out to signal it worked. Isaac's two cards then appeared in columns of light as they stood still as the numbers showed in front of them.

Shining Armor and his family were all in shock by what Isaac had managed to do, except Twilight. Even Flurry Heart was loving what she saw as it was full of lights and sparkles.

"I'm allowed to summon monsters from level 2 through 7, all at the same time. Swing far Pendulum and carve the arc that will lead me to victory! My monsters are ready, to swing into action!" Isaac then thrusted his hand into the air as a portal opened up and his monsters were summoned. "Hope you like tricks, cause this guy is going to blow your minds away. Meet Rune-Eyes Illusionist. Following that performance is my Black Robe Mentalist. Make way for the lady of the hour, Dark Magician Girl! And lastly, give a warm welcome to the star of our show, Dark Magician." Just like that Isaac had four monsters on the field with two of them being his ace magicians.

"No way!!" said Shining Armor as he was in disbelief.

"Incredible!" said Twilight Velvet as she was amazed at Isaac's performance.

"The boy really is a phenomenal duelist." Night Light was impressed by what he saw.

"Funny." cooed Flurry Heart.

"Bark!" was all Spike could say to describe what he was feeling.

"That's my boyfriend." said Twilight with a lovestruck look on her face as hearts floated around her.

"Now then Shining Armor, prepare yourself." said Isaac.

The duel ended as both duelist ended with a draw. Everybody else enjoyed the show as they clapped for both competitors; Twilight just gave Isaac a hug that it caused them to tumble onto the grass. She then captured his lips with hers as she gave him a kiss. Even Spike ran over as he licked Isaac's face when the two broke apart from their liplock. Everybody else just watched the young couple be happy with one another as they picked themselves up.

"Did daddy make you happy, my little princess?"

"Funny." cooed Flurry Heart. "Big... drgoon."

"Yes, sweetie. Daddy has a dragon." said Candance as she loved that her daughter was taking after her husband.

"Want to see them?" asked Shining Armor to which she nodded her cute baby head. "Here you go," Shining Armor then pulled out his Blue-Eyes cards as he gave them for his daughter to hold.

"Drgoon." said Flurry Heart.

"Seems like you're going to have to worry about another Blue-Eyes duelist in this family, Isaac." said Shining Armor. Flurry Heart then put the cards in her mouth as they were soon covered in baby spit. "Flurry Heart, no." Shining Armor then took back his cards as they were covered in saliva and drool.

"Oh yeah, she really loves your dragons." said Twilight sarcastically, who had Spike in her arms, which caused everybody to laugh.

Cadance then put Flurry Heart down as she tried to stand up, she then tried to walk only for her to fall on her bottom. She then started to crawl as she made her way towards Twilight and Isaac. She looked at Isaac as he did his best to figure out what the little thing wanted.

"Magic. Magic."

"Yes, Flurry. Isaac has a magician. And it does magic." said Twilight as she bent down to address her niece.

"Funny."

"I think she wants to see your magicians." said Twilight.

"Oh." Isaac then looked down at Flurry Heart as he was deciding if that was a good idea. "I guess it couldn't hurt," Isaac then took out his Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl as he bent down. "Here you go, Flurry. Just try not to drool on them."

Flurry Heart took Isaac's cards as she looked at them with big eyes. Unlike what she did with her dad's cards, she didn't put them in her mouth. In fact, it almost looked like she was fascinated by them. Isaac could see the spirits of his two magicians next to Flurry Heart as they seemed to have smiles on his face. Isaac then began to address Flurry Heart.

"You like them, Flurry Heart?"

"Funny. Magic."

"Yeah. Their names are Mahad and Mana. They're my friends."

"F-friends." said Flurry Heart.

"That's right." smiled Isaac.

"I-Isac? Isac."

"She said your name." mentioned Twilight.

"Isac... uncle."

Isaac just laughed at what the baby girl said. He knew that she wouldn't understand that he wasn't officially her uncle, so he chose to just let it go. Flurry Heart then hugged Isaac's cards, "Hey Shining Armor, seems like Flurry Heart loves my Dark Magician more than your Blue-Eyes." snickered Isaac while Twilight and Spike let out a small giggle.

"No daughter of mine is gonna have a Dark Magician in my house." said Shining Armor as he was given a shot to his stomach by Cadance who gave him a dirty look. "I mean, I'm happy for her. It's just a phase, I'm sure she'll grow out of it." Candance just rolled her eyes at her husband's remark.

Isaac then grabbed back his cards from Flurry Heart as she began to crawl a bit more as she placed her arms on Isaac's face. Flurry Heart began to snuggle into the right side of Isaac's face and kissed his cheek, making a cute little "smack" noise as she did so, and continued nuzzling his cheek. Everybody else awed.

"And you thought the baby wouldn't like you," said Twilight with a smile as she gave Isaac a kiss on his other cheek.

Isaac chuckled as he picked up Flurry Heart in his hands, "Guess I was wrong. Thank you." said Isaac. The baby just giggled in reply.

With that the rest of the weekend was filled with everybody enjoying themselves. Isaac was able to entertain Flurry Heart and Spike by showing them a couple of his cards which they really liked, Flurry Heart really loved them when compared to her father's card to which she just simply put them in her mouth. Twilight was watching Isaac interact with her niece and she couldn't help but smile. In fact, it made her think about herself and the possibility on how it might be when she had some kids of her own. She did have a dream of starting a family, but she almost gave up on that notion due to her not finding someone she could connect with. But seeing Isaac and how little kids were drawn to him had reawaken that dream for Twilight. She knew that they couldn't see what the future had planned for the both of them, but like she said. None of that mattered, the only thing that was of importance was the present and what was in front of her. And what she saw was a boy who loved Duel Monsters, but more importantly was someone who she loved deeply and would always be grateful to have met in her life.

Flurry Heart is so adorable here. At least not accidently breaking a sacred artifact unlike her Equestrian counterpart.
Since the sibling rivalry was brought up, wonder if we will see a episode inspired by Sparkle's Seven?(especially with what happens with Spike in that episode)

Really didn't like that Spike missed out on when Isaac was showing his Pendulums to the girls at school. Yet another important thing Spike misses out on.. When will Sci-Twi realizes since she was willing to bring Spike to Crystal Prep(except during the graduation duel apparently) she should be willing to bring him to Canterlot High too?
At least they remembered to bring Spike with them to the hospital to see Flurry Heart there.

"I'm your father." said Shining Armor. "And these are your grandparents and your aunt. And that lovely women is your mother."

Don't forget about Spike, Shining. He's right freaking there.
