Chapter 195: Exam #2

"I do speak with my cards and see the spirits of my monsters." said Isaac as both of his magicians bowed down behind their master as they showed their loyalty and relationship with the young boy. "To me, they are more than allies, they are more than servants, they are more than my beck and call, they are my friends. And they are what I draw my inner strength from." Isaac then snapped his fingers as all of the monster spirits returned to their masters' decks as it was just Isaac and the students.

"Now then, the tests begin. You all signed the disclosure agreement that you will not tell each other of your results. Through that door, you'll have your final challenge. Now you all have five minutes with each of your tutors for you and them to say some final words. I'm grateful for all you've done by being part of this program. Every single thing that I've done was to push you all to the best of your ability. Know that whether you win or lose your duel, you'll all victories in my eyes." smiled Isaac as he put his hand in as the students did the same.

"Thank you, Isaac." said the students.

"Now go kick ass!!!" shouted Isaac as allowed the kids to walk through the door.

The students all walked through the door as they began to walk down the hallway. Soon they reached another set of doors as they opened it and inside were the girls as each one of them went to their tutor.

Penny saw Sunset leaning against the wall as she was playing a game on her phone. She then approached her mentor as Sunset looked up and saw her mentee. Both just looked at each other as they didn't say anything.

"I'll keep it short and sweet." stated Sunset. "I'm glad I got a cool girl like you to take under my wing."

"Please you're the cool one. I'm lucky that I assigned you as my tutor. To be honest, compared to the others and who they got stuck with, I got the jackpot." chuckled Penny as Sunset did the same. "In all seriousness, thank you. You know, when we first met, all I could think about was popularity and how it was so important that I needed that to be noticed and stay relevant. But... you showed me a different perspective. That a person's popularity isn't just based on the friends they hang out with, but more so why they hang out with the people they choose to call their friends. That lesson got to me, cause I got to six other cool people." Penny looked at her comrades as she did admit that this little group she was a part of really allowed her to meet some new individuals.

"That's all I ever wanted." smiled Sunset as she put her hand on Penny's shoulder. "Now, make sure that you make me proud, no matter what happens or what the result of your exam is."

"Totally." said Penny.

Soon the P.A. system went off as it served as the signal for the students to start.

Penny extended her fist to Sunset to which the bacon-haired girl did the same as they shared one final fist bump. Penny and the other students all stepped to seven different doors as each one was placed in front of them. They all looked at one another as they each gave small fist bumps as soon all seven of them entered their doors simultaneously. Each of the kids was in a black holding space as there was another door before them as there was a neon sign above it that would indicate when it was their turn. Soon one door of the set turned green as it said ready as the person slotted in their deck and opened the door.

Penny came to another room as it was nothing but dark as a single spotlight shined in the middle. Using that as her only guide to seeing and some vision, she was now under the spotlight as she tried looking around but nothing.

"Welcome!" said a voice.

"Isaac." said Penny as her eyes focused on her head professor.

She could see him in the private box with the three members of the Board as they all had clipboards. The teen just looked at the slightly younger girl as he then sat down and pulled out his rubric as did the other people. Isaac then spoke into the mic.

"Contestant #2, Penny. Runner-up of the Fall Formal tournament. Deck archetype: Blackwings." said Isaac as he relayed the info to the executives and so the girl could hear it. "Now then... let the exam begin." Isaac then pushed another button as soon the whole room lit up as it caused the girl to cover up for a sec as she soon found herself on a dueling field. She then looked forward as standing there was her opponent.

"Howdy." said the person who entered the room as they slotted in their deck into their duel disk as it activated and projected a green card tray. "Ready to throwdown, partner?"

"Ready." said Penny as she activated her duel disk and then projected a black card tray.

"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel."

Applejack's Life Points: 8000-

Penny's Life Points: 8000-

"I'll start things off, I draw," said Penny. "Since I control no cards, I can special summon this feathered friend, Blackwing - Gust the Backblast(900/1400). And birds of a feather like to flock together, so now I can summon Blackwing - Kochi the Daybreak(700/1500)." Penny now had two monsters on the field as she was in the zone and that was how she liked it. "Now then I tune my Level 2 Gust the Backblast with my Level 4 Kochi the Daybreak!" Penny's birds then soared into the sky as her Gust turned into two giant green rings as they circled Kochi the Daybreak who flew in between them. "I Synchro Summon, Blackwing - Nothung the Starlight(2400/1600)!" Out emerged the winged beast as it wielded a sword in its left hand.

"And when my Nothung the Starlight is summoned, I can dish out 800 points of damage to your life points." said Penny as her monster had its sword unleash a slash attack as Applejack blocked it with her duel disk.
Applejack's Life Points: 7200-

"Then I'll end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 2: Applejack

"Mah turn to get down and dirty." said Applejack as she drew her card as it had a green light to trail behind it. "I summon Predaplant Cephalotusnail(1300/1200). Then I'll place one card facedown and end mah turn."

Turn 3: Penny

"My turn, and now I summon Blackwing - Jin the Rain Shadow(600/500). And thanks to my Nothung the Starlight's special ability means I'm allowed an additional summon, so I also summon my Blackwing - Jetstream the Blue Sky(100/800)." Once more Penny now had two more of her beloved birds as each small bird was perched on her shoulder as they gave a nuzzle and a peck to their mistress.

"You guys ready?" asked Penny to both birds on her shoulders as they let out a squawk. "Alright then, I tune my Level 1 Jin the Rain Shadow with my Level 1 Jetstream the Blue Sky!" Jin the Rain Shadow then flew up first as it changed into a single green giant ring that circled Jetstream as it flew into it. "Show her how to turn the power of flight into the power of fight! I Synchro Summon! Assault Blackwing - Sayo the Rain Hider(800/100)!" Out emerged a small bird as it had a dagger in its hand and some goggles on its face.

"Now to attack, Nothung the Starlight take out her monster!" shouted Penny.

"Ain't gonna be that easy, cause mah Cephalotusnail can't be destroyed in battle and any damage I take is cut in half!" shouted Aj as her plant put up a barrier as it managed to minimize the damage for its mistress to take as Applejack just simply dusted her shoulder.
Applejack's Life Points: 6650-

"I end my turn."

Turn 4: Applejack

"Then it's mah turn, and now I'll reveal mah facedown, Rapid Seed Fire. So now ah can send one Level 4 or lower 'Predaplant' monster from mah deck so that not only do you take 300 points of damage, but all of yer monsters loses 600 attack points." said Applejack as she had her spell shot out some needles as she sent away her Predaplant Cordyceps to the graveyard as she managed to weaken Penny and her monsters.
Penny's Life Points: 7700-

"Now Predaplant Cephalotusnail attack her Sayo!" shouted the country girl.

"Well, like your monster, mines has the same ability, it can't be destroyed up to twice per turn." said Penny as her monster managed to block Aj's monster with its small blade.

"Either way, you still take damage." stated Applejack.
Penny's Life Points: 6600-

"Now they're both equal in life points." said Isaac as the other three suits wrote down some stuff from what they witnessed from both duelists.

"Ah now end mah turn."

Turn 5: Penny

"My turn, and now I'll equip my Nothung the Starlight with my spell card, Charging Blade! So not only does my monster gain 800 more attack points, but it can deal you damage equal to the number of Synchro materials I used to summon it by 400, so you take 800 points of damage." said Penny as her monster then pointed its sword at the farm girl as AJ blocked the attack again with her duel disk arm.
Applejack's Life Points: 5850-

"Next, I'll switch my Sayo the Rain Hider into defense mode and end my turn."

Turn 6: Applejack

"Mah draw, and first off ah activate the effect of mah Rapid Seed Fire so this time I send mah Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra to the grave." said Applejack as she dealt more damage to Penny's life points and weaken her monsters more as her Sayo had no attack points and Nothung the Starlight was down to 2000 attack points.

"Now then, time to see this in action."

"What do you mean?" asked Penny.

"Pay attention, sugar. Cause I'm gonna use these two pendulum cards, Scale 2 Mandragon and Scale 8 Predaplant Spider Orchid, to set here this pendulum scale." said Applejack as she placed her two cards on the far ends of her card tray as the word pendulum spelled out in between them in rainbow coloring. Soon both of her monsters then appeared in columns of light with their respective numbers in front of them.

"Where did you get those?" asked Penny in a surprised tone.

"Yee-haw! I can now as many monsters as ah want from Levels 3 through 7. Ah, pendulum summon!" A portal opened above the country blonde-haired girl as two lights came out. "Mah Predaplant Lilizard(1200/1200) and Predaplant Pterapenthes(300/2100)!" said Applejack as she had her two plant critters appear on her field.

"How do you have pendulum cards?" said Penny to herself.

"Ah end mah turn with a facedown."

Turn 7: Penny

"My turn, and now I'll activate the effect of my Charging Blade, to deal you 800 more points of damage." said Penny as she had her monster points its weapon at AJ who took the effect damage head-on.
Applejack's Life Points: 5050-

"Now time to take your monsters out, Nothung do your thing and attack Predaplant Cephalotusnail!" shouted Penny.

"Ah reveal mah facedown, Predaprime Fusion! So now I can fuse all three of mah monsters on the field!" Applejack's three monsters then transformed into lights as a vortex appeared behind the earth girl as all the lights that gathered were sucked in. "Ah Fusion Summon, Predaplant Triphyoverutum(3000/3000)!!" The new beast emerged as it stood on two legs, it had three heads as it let out a roar as it descended onto Aj's field.

"Stop!" shouted Penny as she got her monster to cease attacking.

"Wise move." stated Aj.

"Then I'll activate my facedown, Blackwing - Festival. So now since you special summoned a monster, I can summon 3 'Blackwing' tokens(0/0)." stated Penny as she had three smaller tokens in defense mode.

"I then end my turn."

Turn 8: Applejack

"Mah turn, and now, take out her Blackwing Nothung!" shouted Aj as she had her monster open its middle mouth as it fired an attack that took out Penny's monster.
Penny's Life Points: 5600-

"Ah now end my turn."

Turn 9: Penny

"My turn, and since I used a 'Blackwing' to synchro summon Sayo, he counts as a tuner. Now I'll tune my Sayo the Rain Hider with all three of my Level 1 tokens." Penny's monster then turned into two separate giant green rings as all of her smaller tokens flew in between them. "There's a storm coming, and with it comes a deluge of destruction! I Synchro Summon! Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm(1500/2000)!" Penny's new monster emerged as it wielded a sword as it pointed it at Applejack.

"But I ain't done, cause now Sohaya's special ability activates when it's synchro summoned, I can bring an 'Assault Blackwing' monster from my graveyard, so welcome back Sayo the Rain Hider. But I'm taking it up a notch one more time, cause you see like when I summoned Sayo, my Sohaya counts as a tuner monster since I used a 'Blackwing' to synchro summon it. So now I tune my Level 5 Sohaya the Rain Storm with my Level 2 Sayo the Rain Hider!" Sohaya the Rain Storm then flew into the air as it transformed into five giant green rings as Sayo the Rain Hider flew in between them. "And by way of their cosmic bonds, I can form an even mightier beast! I Synchro Summon! Spread your wings, Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower(2600/2000)!" Once more Penny had managed to bust out a synchro monster and this time it was one of the most powerful creatures in her deck. The storm of feathers then disbursed as out came a swordsman as he let out a cry and landed on the field.

"Not bad, but not good enough." snickered Aj. "Predaplant Triphyoverutum, do your thing!" shouted the girl. Her monster heard the command given to by its mistress as all three heads opened their mouths and fired a triple energy beam at Penny's monster who used its sword to protect itself. At first, Penny's monster was just blocking the attack, but soon its body was then starting to glow white as it caught the attention of Penny and the three suits as they couldn't believe what they were seeing. Raikiri's entire body now was covered in a white light as it then disappeared from the field.

"Raikiri!!" shouted Penny as she couldn't believe that her monster and pal were gone. "What did you do?!" asked the girl.

"Simple, I activated the effect of mah Predaplant Triphyoverutum, see if you special summon a monster from yer Extra Deck while I control mah Predaplant Triphyoverutum, then not only can I negate that summon, I can destroy it as well. So yer Raikiri just flew the coop." said Applejack with a smirk on her face.

"So then..."

"She can't summon her powerful monsters." said the head business suit. "Well, then this duel is over."

"Mark that down on your rubric, and you're gonna regret that," stated Isaac as he just laid back in his chair with a smug smile on his face as she looked at the three. "The duel just started and yet you're already making a decision. Yeesh, no wonder you're all corporate bitches." Isaac's response got the three suits to look at him as they couldn't believe the champion of CHS was talking to them this way. "Pay attention, you'll learn something."

This isn't good, my whole deck relies on summoning from the Extra Deck. But as long as Applejack has her fusion monster out on the field, I can even think about Synchro Summoning. Wait... that's it.

"I'll end my turn."

Turn 10: Applejack

"Mah turn and I'll activate the effect of mah Rapid Seed Fire, so this time I choose to send mah Predaplant Helimaphorhynchus from mah deck to the graveyard so that I can deal you 300 points of damage." said Applejack as her duel disk ejected her chosen card as she grabbed it and put it in the graveyard slot as her spell then fired some more pointed needles as they were flying towards Penny who blocked most of them with her duel disk.
Penny's Life Points: 5300-

"I'm amazed why you didn't summon a monster to protect yer life points, sugar. But... I'm still yer opponent, which is why I need to focus on being the victor. So now Predaplant Triphyoverutum attack her directly!" shouted Applejack as her monster prepared to strike the girl in front of her. It then shot a triple tri-attack as it shot forward to Penny.

"I activate the effect of my Blackwing - Ghibli the Searing Wind(0/1600)! When you declare a direct attack, I can special summon this monster from my hand." said Penny as she managed to bring out her monster. Her creature arrived as it saw the attack coming as it flapped its wings and intercepted the attack as it managed to protect Penny from taking any serious damage.

"Nice move, sugarcube. But yer monster still bit the dust."

"He did what he needed to do. And for that, I'm grateful for him." smiled Penny as she was grateful for her monster to be able to take one for the team and allow her the time she needed to make a comeback.

"Then I'll just end mah turn with a facedown."

Turn 11: Penny

"My turn," said Penny as she looked at her deck. I need to draw the card I need. Come on.

"I draw," Penny drew her card as she looked at the card she drew and smiled, "I now summon Blackwing - Gofu the Vague Shadow(0/0)." Out came Penny's monster as it was a small bird in chains as several high-speed winds surround it. "Your monster's effect only works when I try to summon from my Extra Deck. But Gofu the Vague Shadow is special cause it allows me to Synchro Summon from the graveyard. And the best part is that when I summon it, I also summon two Level 1 'Vague Shadow' tokens. Now time to tune them all together, I tune my Level 5 Gofu the Vague Shadow with both of my Level 1 tokens!" Penny's Gofu the Vague Shadow then flew up into the air as it turned into five giant green rings as the two tokens flew into them. "I Synchro Summon! Spread your wings, Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower!" Penny's monster was now back on the field as it landed as it pointed its sword at Aj's monster.

"Looks like I found a way to summon my monster without triggering your monster's effect." smiled Penny.

"Well done, Penny." smiled Isaac at how the girl was able to avoid Aj's plan and summon her monster.

"Now I activate Raikiri's special ability, with it I can destroy your monster!" Raikiri then powered up its sword as it fired a slash attack that headed towards Applejack's monster as it let out a cry as soon it was destroyed as an explosion went off.
"Now that your monster is gone, time to attack you directly! Take it to her, Raikiri!" shouted Penny.

"Ah reveal mah facedown, Defense Draw. So now all the damage is reduced to zero. And I get to draw a card." said Applejack as a wall of cards came up in front of her as they managed to repel Raikiri's attack as it bounced off the barrier. Soon it was gone as only a single card was left as Applejack grabbed it.

"Nice move," said Penny. "In that case, I'll end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 12: Applejack

"Mah turn, and now I'll activate the effect of my Predaplant Cordyceps, so by banishin' from mah graveyard, ah can bring back two Level 4 or lower 'Predaplant' monster from mah graveyard. So I choose mah Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra(1000/1500) and Predaplant Lilizard(1200/1200)." Both of Aj's tiny monsters appeared as one was a lizard with purple buds on its tail. And the other was a snake with a body like a plant vine slithered in front of Applejack, its jaws patterned like flower petals.

"Now a couple of things happen since I special summon Lilizard from the graveyard, ah draw one card. Then since Darlingtonia Cobra was special summoned, ah can add a 'Polymerization' from mah deck to mah hand." Applejack's duel disk then ejected her two cards as she grabbed them and added them to her hand. "Now ah play Polymerization so that I can fuse mah two critters." A purple vortex with tendrils of green energy appeared behind Applejack and drew in her two monsters. The vortex spun and flashed, its light growing. "By crafting these ravenous plants together, I'll create a botanical nightmare! I Fusion Summon! Arise, Starving Venom Fusion Dragon(2800/2000)!" She slammed her card on her duel disk, the card tray lighting up purple.

The ground shook as a massive plant bud grew behind Applejack and rose into the air. It shone purple and burst apart, a dragon flying out of it and circling the field. Its body was lithe and green, armored in hardened purple growths with thorns emerging from them. Orbs of orange light lit up on its claws, shoulders, and wings, pulsing with energy. The dragon stopped its flight above Applejack, a vine-like tail lashing the air, and roared.

"Oh boy." said Penny as she saw one of AJ's most powerful fusion monsters of her deck.

"Now mah dragon's effect activates, so now it gains the attack points of yer monster!" stated Applejack. An aura of purple energy lit up over Raikiri and trails of it swirled into Applejack’s dragon. The orbs on its wings grew brighter as it now had an attack power of 5400.

Applejack thrust her hand out. “Starving Venom Fusion Dragon, attack Raikiri!” Starving Venom Fusion Dragon swooped down and flew forward. The orbs covering its body sent streams of energy curling into its mouth, congregating into a large fireball. The fireball launched and engulfed Raikiri, a plume of smoke shooting into the air. Penny looked away, teeth gritted, as her monster melted and exploded.
Penny's Life Points: 2700-

"Well, since I used Gofu the Vague Shadow to synchro summon, Raikiri goes back to my Extra Deck instead of the graveyard." said Penny as she grabbed her card and put it back in the Extra Deck compartment of her duel disk.

"With that, I end mah turn." stated AJ as her dragon powered down back to its original attack points.

Turn 13: Penny

"Okay, this just went from bad to worst." said Penny as she dusted herself off as she looked at the field and saw Applejack standing tall with her dragon as both let off a powerful aura. Their determination and strength were resonating off of them as even Penny could feel it within the room.

"Either way, her monster may be powerful, but not invincible. I just have to find a way to take it down." said the girl to herself as she placed her hand on her deck. "My turn, I draw! I'll summon my Blackwing - Gladius the Midnight Sun(800/1500) in defense mode." Out came a bird standing on its talons as it wore a shiny silver suit of armor chest plate as it had white feathers that made up a came and wielded two smaller swords in both of its hands/claws.

"With that, I end my turn."

Turn 14: Applejack

"My turn, and now mah dragon attack her monster." commanded Applejack as she had her dragon unleash its vine as they began to attack Penny's monster who was able to block all of them with fast reflexes as it managed to escape the attack unharmed.

"See my Gladius the Midnight Sun has a special ability, once per turn, it can't be destroyed in battle." stated Penny as her monster finished repelling the last attacks of Aj's dragon.

"Well then, I'll end mah turn."

Turn 15: Penny

"My turn, and since I control a 'Blackwing' I can summon this monster without a tributing, Blackwing - Elphin the Raven(2200/1200)." Out emerged winged monster as it wore a blue tunic. "And when I summon my Elphin the Raven, I can change the battle position of one of your monsters, so your dragon is getting switched into defense mode," stated Penny as Aj's mighty dragon switched modes. "And now your dragon isn't so tough, Elphin the Raven do your thing!" shouted Penny as her monster then flew towards Aj's dragon as it was given a slash attack as it was soon gone.

"Not bad." complimented Aj as she was impressed by how Penny took down her beast.

"Thanks, I now end my turn."

Turn 16: Applejack

"Mah turn, and now ah play the spell card, Re-Fusion. So by paying 800 life points, I can bring back mah Starving Venom Fusion Dragon. But don't worry, I got something else planned, I play Super Polymerization! So now I can combine mah dragon with yer Elphin the Raven!"
Applejack's Life Points: 4250-

"What?!" said Penny as she saw her monster being sucked into Aj's portal as her dragon did also as the colors of purple and green came out.

"I Fusion Summon, Predaplant Dragostapelia(2700/1900)!" shouted Aj as she got the card her duel disk ejected from her Extra Deck as she slammed it onto her color card tray. Out emerged a monster as it let out a vicious roar as it unfurled its wings and showed off its claws as it hovered in the air next to its mistress.

"Now I activate mah monster's special ability, which means I can place a Predaplant Counter on one of yer monsters." Applejack's monster then opened its mouth as it fired a seed as it landed on Penny's Blackwing as it soon began to wrap around her monster as the vines were zapping away its power.

"What are you doing to my monster?" asked Penny.

"Relax, sugar. It's harmless, first thing is that Predaplant Counter drops yer monster's level down to Level 1. Then since yer monster has a Predaplant Counter, mah monster can be able to negate the effects of yer monster since it has the counter. So that means yer Gladius the Midnight Sun can now be destroyed by one attack since its ability is gone." informed Applejack.

"That doesn't sound harmless." said Penny as she realized the situation she was in with Aj's new monster.

"Yer right it isn't, well for you anyway. So now Predaplant Dragostapelia attack her monster and take it out!" shouted Applejack as her monster opened its mouth and then fired an attack as it destroyed Penny's remaining monster.

"I now end mah turn with a facedown."

Turn 17: Penny

"My turn and I'll play Cards for Black Feathers, so by shipping off my Blackwing - Calima the Haze, I can draw two more cards." said Penny as she sent away her monster and then drew from the top of her deck. "Nice, now I summon my Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North(1300/0)!" Out came a small bird as it let out a squawk as it landed on Penny's shoulder as the tiny monster nuzzled against the girl's cheek as it showed love for its mistress.

"Hey little bud," said Penny as she gave a petting under her bird's chin as the small bird liked Penny scratching its favorite spot as some feathers got ruffled. "Care to give me a hand?" Penny's response from her small bird was a gentle peck which translated to a kiss from the feathered creature.

"Alright then, since I summoned Blizzard the Far North, I can now bring back one Level 4 or lower 'Blackwing' monster from my graveyard in defense mode." Blizzard then hopped from Penny's shoulder and onto her duel disk as it began to peck at her graveyard slot as it was trying to fetch one of its comrades as it used its beak. Soon it grabbed a card as it flew back to Penny's shoulder as it handed the card to its owner.

"Good choice," said Penny as she gave one last petting to her bird. "So welcome back my Blackwing - Ghibli the Searing Wind(0/1600). Next, I'll tune my Level 2 Blizzard the Far North with my Level 3 Ghibli the Searing Wind!" Blizzard the Far North then flew from Penny's shoulder as it soared into the air as it soon transformed into two giant green rings that circled Ghibli as it flew in between them. "There's a storm coming, and with it comes a deluge of destruction! I Synchro Summon! Assault Blackwing - Sohaya the Rain Storm! And by synchro summoning my Sohaya, I can bring back an 'Assault Blackwing' from my deck, so rise Sayo the Rain Hider. And since I used a 'Blackwing' to synchro summon Sohaya, it counts as a tuner. So now I tune my Level 5 Sohaya the Rain Storm with Level 2 Sayo the Rain Hider!" Penny's Sohaya then flew high into the air as it changed into five giant green rings that circled Sayo the Rain Hider as it flew in between them. "And by way of their cosmic bonds, I can form an even mightier beast! I Synchro Summon! Spread your wings, Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower!" Once more Penny now had her powerful swordsman feather monster on the field.

"So, you gonna use Raikiri's effect?" asked Applejack.

"No... cause I got something better planned. See Sohaya the Rain Storm is super special, cause when I have two of them in my graveyard, I can banish one of them to summon the other back to my field." Penny's duel disk then ejected her two cards as she placed one in the banished compartment of her duel disk as she placed her other card on her card tray as her monster rose.

"Two Blackwings," said Applejack.

"One more thing, like before with all my 'Assault Blackwings' since I used a Blackwing to synchro summon it, it counts as a tuner. So that means I can synchro summon one more time!"

"A third synchro summon in a row?!" said the three suits as they were the most shocked by what they heard. Not to mention they were surprised to see that someone like Penny could not only do that, but she knew how and planned accordingly.

"Oh yeah." smiled Isaac as he was leaning back in his chair as he put his arms behind his head as he was smiling at Penny.

"I now tune my Level 7 Raikiri the Rain Shower with my Level 5 Sohaya the Rain Storm!" Raikiri then flew high into the air as it transformed into seven giant green rings as they circled Sohaya the Rain Storm who flew into it. "Get ready to feast your eyes on a thundering display of power that will have you shaking in your Duel Disks! I Synchro Summon! Assault Blackwing - Onimaru the Divine Thunder(3000/2000)!" Out on Penny's field was one of the strongest monsters she had in her deck as it looked to bring victory for the young teen.

"Time to take flight! Onimaru, attack her monster!" shouted Penny as her monster took flight and charged at Applejack and her creature. "Onimaru's special ability will now kick in. That means the power of its attack will increase by 1000 points for each Synchro Summon I made this turn!"

"For each one? Then that's a total of 3!" said Applejack.

"Exactly, so now Onimaru gains 3000 extra attack points. Go Thundering Thrash!!!" shouted Penny as she thrust her arm out.

"I activate mah facedown, Nutrient Z. So since I'm about to take 2000 points of damage, I gain 4000 life points." stated Applejack.
Applejack's Life Points: 8250-

Onimaru then soared high into the air as it was surrounded in a yellow light as it did some sharp maneuvers. It then brought its sword down on Predaplant Dragostapelia in a downward slash as it caused Predaplant Dragostapelia to let out a screech as it exploded.
Applejack's Life Points: 4950-

"Now, then I'll end my turn with a facedown."

Turn 18: Applejack

"Mah turn, and to start, I'll use mah pendulum scale that I've got out so that I can pendulum summon mah Predaplant Banksiogre(2000/100)." A portal above Applejack opened up as out came a light as the monster that emerged was a pinecone as it had an eye. "Then ah play the spell card, Predapruning. So now I can revive a 'Predaplant' monster in mah graveyard, so ah choose mah Predaplant Dragostapelia!" Once more Aj's fusion monster was back in play as it let out a roar.

"Not bad, but my monster is still stronger than yours." said Penny.

"True, but I ain't done. Cause you see, ah got one final fusion to show." smiled Applejack.

"How so? You've already used your Predaprime Fusion, your Polymerization, and your Super Polymerization. What other fusion cards do you have that could allow you to do a fusion summoning?" stated Penny.

"Yer right, I did use all of them. But ah didn't show you this one. See sugar, when you're a master of Fusion Summoning like me, you gotta know there's always more than one way to fuse monsters together." Applejack then picked a card from her hand as she flipped it over so that Penny could look at it.

"What is..."

"Ah activate Ultra Polymerization!" shouted the country girl as she held her card up high as it began to glow in purple and green light. So by paying 2000 life points, ah can fusion summon a monster from mah Extra Deck. So I'll fuse mah Predaplant Dragostapelia and Predaplant Banksiogre!" Both of Applejack's monsters then disappeared in a light as they were sucked into the vortex that appeared behind their mistress as their energies and powers were being combined into one.
Applejack's Life Points: 2950-

"When you combine the viciously, voracious venom of a dragon with the cunningness of a carnivorous plant, the result is toxically terrifyin'! I Fusion Summon! Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon(3300/2500)!" A massive dragon flew out as its serpentine body was glowing blue, purple, and yellow, streaks of light along with its limbs. Wings like the growths of a plant spread behind it, crackling with energy. It circled to float in front of Applejack, roaring down at Penny.

"I don't like the looks of this." said Penny.

"I'm afraid not, cause now the second effect of my Ultra Polymerization allows me to bring back the monsters ah used to summon it, however, their attack/defense points are 0, and their effects are negated." Applejack then had two lights appear on her field as both her Predaplant Dragostapelia and Predaplant Banksiogre appeared in defense mode. "Next up, I'm activatin' mah monsters ability, so mah Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon can drop yer monster's attack points down to 0 and negate its special abilities."

"No way!" said Penny as she saw Aj's dragon use its vines as they latched onto her Blackwing as it felt its power being sucked away and into Applejack's monster as it powered up and let out a roar as it detached the vines. "With yer monster having no attack points, that means all I need to do is attack and it's game over."

"This can't be!" said Penny.

"Sorry, now mah dragon attack her monster!" Greedy Venom drew back its mouth and fired a jet of purple energy.

"I may not be able to save my monster, but I can save my life points. I reveal my facedown, Fake Feather! So by sending one 'Blackwing' from my hand to the graveyard, this trap allows me to copy the effects of one Normal Trap card in your graveyard. And the one I choose, your Defense Draw! So now I don't take any damage from your attack and I get to draw one card." said Penny.

The girl then sent one of her cards to the graveyard slot as soon a wall of cards appeared in front of her as they managed to protect her from the attack as her monster was destroyed. Once it died down, the wall of cards then disappeared as only a single one remained as Penny grabbed it and added it to her hand.

"Quick thinkin', partner." chuckled Applejack as she was impressed by how Penny was able to use her card against her to survive the attack and get an extra card.

"Well, then ah end mah turn with a facedown."

Turn 19: Penny

"My turn and I need to turn this duel into my favor. So here goes, I draw!!" shouted Penny. "Nice, now I'll activate the effect of my Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor(800/0). So by banishing it and one non-tuner 'Blackwing' from my graveyard, I can synchro summon. So I'll get rid of it and my Blackwing - Elphin the Raven so that I can tune them together!" Vayu then appeared as it changed into a single giant green ring that circled Elphin the Raven who flew into it. "I Synchro Summon! My winged warrior, Assault Blackwing - Chidori the Rain Sprinkling(2600/2000)!" Out emerged a feather bird as it wore a suit of armor and wielded a sword as it let out a shout. "Now Chidori gains 300 extra attack points for each 'Blackwing' monster in my graveyard and I have a total of 14 which means my Chidori now has 6800 attack points. Now attack her monster!" shouted Penny.

"I reveal mah facedown, Nature's Cure! So now I can gain life points to a monster on mah field and then ah can set one trap card from mah deck facedown." said Aj as she gained some more points.
Applejack's Life Points: 6250-

Soon Penny's monster brought its sword down upon her as it sliced Aj's dragon clean in half and let out a painful roar as soon it exploded and tons of plant juice was all that was left.

"And now by destroyin' mah monster, you activated its effect, so now ah can destroy yer monster and then you take damage equal to its original attack points." said Applejack as she managed to strike Penny back with a huge shot of her own.
Applejack's Life Points: 2750-

Penny's Life Points: 100-

"That's fine, cause now your dragon is gone and I get to activate my effect. See you helped me when you destroyed my Chidori, cause now I can special summon one Winged Beast-type Synchro Monster from my graveyard, so I choose... my Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower! And since I summoned him during the battle phase, that means he can attack. So take out her Predaplant Dragostapelia!" commanded Penny as her monster brought his sword down on Aj's other fusion monster as it was gone for the second time. "Then I'll finish things off by activating Raikiri's effect, so he'll get rid of the last monster on your field. Do it buddy!" shouted the girl as her monster fired off another sword slash attack as it cleared the field of Applejack having monsters.

"Not bad, but ah got you right where ah wanted you! Cause ah, reveal the card I set, Extra Shave Reborn! Now since a monster ah control that was originally from the Extra Deck was destroyed, this card allows me to bring back a different monster that was also originally from the Extra Deck and has a level lower or equal to it. So I summon back mah Starving Venom Fusion Dragon!" shouted Applejack as her monster was back in play as it let out a roar as stood over the battlefield as Aj had a smile on her face.

"No." was all Penny could say.

Turn 20: Applejack

"Nice duelin' partner," smiled Applejack as she gave one last thumbs up at the girl for almost beating her. "Now mah dragon take out her monster and end this duel!" commanded Applejack. Starving Venom Fusion Dragon then used its tail to do a quick whiplash attack as Raikiri was hit square in the chest as his sword was knocked out of its hands and sliced in two by Aj's monster as the tail cut through it like butter. Soon an explosion went off as Penny tried to hold her ground until she dropped to both her knees as she put her head down.
