Chapter 174: Speed Duel

It was now the next day after the crazy cruise adventure. Everybody was still trying to recover and relax from the wild experience that took place; Isaac made sure to make a phone call to Celestia and Luna as he told them that they returned from their trip a little earlier than expected, he didn't say much other than that they ran into “weather issues”. They seemed to buy his story as they said they would see them in about a week where their class was scheduled to take a trip to a music festival that was going to be happening as almost everybody would be attending. So Isaac thanked the pair as he looked forward to seeing them once they finished their trip with the freshman class.

With that piece of info now out of the way, Isaac then made a call to someone. And it wasn’t any one of his acquittances that he always talked with, this was someone who was meeting and talking with in private.

“Hello.”

“Hey, it’s Isaac.”

“Right, sorry. Look, I just want to make sure that you’re comfortable with this decision.” said the voice on the other line.

“To be honest, I’m not. But I’m willing to give you a chance.” said Isaac.

“And I’m grateful that you’re allowing me to have that chance. Okay, I promise I won’t let this opportunity go to waste.”

“I know you won’t. Keep me in contact if anything arises.” stated the boy.

“Roger.” said the person as the call ended and the transmission was done.

A little while later the whole gang was in the living room as they were preparing to watch a movie together. They had ordered some Chinese food as they prepared to settle in for a long, laid back evening as they wanted to do something to wind down from their latest magic crazy adventure. Applejack had just entered the front door as she volunteered to pick up the food.

“Alright, y’all. Soup’s on, everybody!” shouted Applejack as she placed the food on the dining table as all the girls could smell the orders as they all got up to serve themselves.

“Thanks for picking it up, Aj.” said Isaac.

“No problem, sugarcube. By the way, it seems you got a package.” Aj then pointed to the front door as in the doorway was a medium size box.

“That’s weird, I don’t remember ordering anything.” stated Isaac as he went to fetch the box as he picked it up.

He then shook it a bit to see if he could figure out what it was based on the sound it made. From what he could hear it wasn’t heavy per say but there was something inside that was a decent size to make such a sound. Isaac then took the box into the living room as he placed it on the table as all the girls were near him with the two pets laying down together on the far couch.

“So what did you order this time, boy toy?” asked Sunset as she took a bite of her food.

“That’s just the thing, I didn’t.” said Isaac as he was examining all sides of the box. “Did any of you order anything?” asked the boy to which the others all shook their heads.

“Well, there’s no address to determine who sent it.” stated Twilight.

“Then open it.” stated Rainbow.

“Hang on, what if it’s a trap?” asked Rarity.

“I mean, our latest adventure had us nearly drowning in the ocean for Christ’s sake,” said Sunset.

“Maybe it’s an animal.” suggested the shy girl as she sat next to Isaac.

“Well, only one way to find out. Rainbow fetch me the boxcutter.” said Isaac as she zoomed over to the kitchen and opened one of the drawers as she found the small thing and gave it to Isaac as he began to open the box.

He opened the flaps as inside was a ton of papers and packing as he gave it to Pinkie so that she could have fun with it. Once that was all gone, Isaac and the girls all looked inside as their heads were shown from the top down camera angle. There were two smaller boxes inside as well as some other cards but the thing is that they weren’t Duel Monster cards per say. Isaac reached in and grabbed one of the smaller boxes and opened the lid as the others looked next to and over his shoulder as inside were some Duel Monster cards.

“Okay, now I’m confused.” said Rarity.

At that moment, Isaac’s duel disk was now beeping as he was receiving a call on it. He then placed the smaller box on the table as he grabbed his duel disk as he pressed a button and out projected an image of someone.

“Greetings, Isaac-boy.”

“Mr. William.”

“Yes, it’s been a longtime since we last talked. And why is that Isaac, you never call. You never write, I’m beginning to think that you don’t appreciate me.” joked Mr. William.

“It’s not that, Mr. William. Just got a lot on my plate at the moment.” said Isaac.

“Indeed, Celestia and Luna both told me about your little program that you’re trying to get recognized by the Board of Education. My, are you hard at work. Anyways, how are you treating those Egyptian God cards, hope you’re not using them to cause any chaos.”

“Not at all sir, I’ve been keeping them safe, like you asked.”

“Good, and by the way. I hope that I didn’t catch you all at a bad time but I figured I’d send you over somethings that Industrial Illusions is currently working on. I’m sure you’ll find this something that catches all of your interests. Twilight, you probably remember seeing this when you interned here in the summer.” stated Mr. William as he looked at the girl.

“If it’s what I think it is? Then… does that mean it's ready for launch?” asked the girl.

“Well, not yet. My team of scientists are still working out the kinks before this thing goes public. We’ve been having some pro duelists test out our new design and they’ve given us some stellar results. So I figured why not give you all a try so that we could get some more results.” said the older man. “So care to help us?”

“Sure, just what is it?” asked Isaac.

“Simple, it’s a little project that we’ve been working on to help find a different way to play Duel Monsters. We call it ‘Speed Duels’.” said Mr. William.

“Speed Duels?” said everybody as they were confused on what the owner was saying.

“Let me explain, the boxes I’ve sent you are filled with cards, but more so I’ve sent you essentially two starter decks. These starter decks will help you and your friends to understand how these Speed Duels work. And don’t worry, I made sure to make a deck that not only features some of your cards, Isaac-boy. But also features the bravery and boldness of your tactics.” said Mr. William. “Now then care to demonstrate this for me.”

“Sure, which one of you girls wants it?” asked Isaac as he held the other box.

“Ohh, me! Me!” shouted Pinkie as she immediately raised her hand. She then swiped the box from Isaac’s hand as she opened it and saw the cards inside. “Ohh, shiny.”

“Now then would you both please sync your duel disks.” asked Mr. William as both Isaac and Pinkie then sat on opposite sides of the table as they placed their small rectangle devices on the table as they were deactivated. Both players then sat down on the carpet as they followed Mr. William’s instructions as he was getting both of them to sync up so that he and the girls could watch this duel take place. Once that was done, both then grabbed the eye visor that was also in the box as they both placed it over their right eye as they could see the many functions and images it was projecting.

“Now then, let me explain the rules to you both about how Speed Duels work. First off, you both start off with 4000 life points, but since this is a Speed Duel and not an ordinary duel, you both only have 3 monster card zones and 3 spell/trap zones instead of the usual five as well as in your Extra Deck you only have 5 monsters instead of 15. And instead of the standard 40-60 cards, you'll be using half that amount, 20-30 cards. Furthermore, you both only get a single main phase each turn and most importantly, you both start with a skill card of your choosing.” said Mr. William.

“You mean these?” asked Rainbow as she was holding several skill cards in her hand.

“Correct, Ms. Dash. Now both of you read over the different skills and pick the one you want to use in this duel.”

“You can look first, little sis.”

“Thanks, big bro.” Pinkie then looked at the many skill cards as she was selecting the one she wanted. She then handed the stack back to Isaac as he picked out the one he wanted.

“Now then I should remind you of one last thing, in a Speed Duel the person who goes first can’t draw on their starting turn. And each player starts with four cards in their hand. Something to add a little bit of suspense, wouldn’t you say?” chuckled Mr. William.

“Well, I’m ready. Pinkie?”

“All set, bro.” said the pink girl as both clicked ready that appeared on their visors as it began to project a hologram image of the dueling field as each one had their own tiny avatar in pixels.

"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel." said their visors as soon the girls could see the holographic images of the field of their friends as it was in the middle of the table.

Isaac's Life Points: 4000-

Pinkie's Life Points: 4000-

"I guess, I'll start off. Is that fine, Pinkie?" asked Isaac.

"Sure thing." smiled the girl.

Turn 1: Isaac

"My turn." said Isaac as the cards he drew were appearing in holographic form as all he needed to do to play a card was touch it and then choose which slot to place it in.

"Ooh, activate skill." said Pinkie as she just touched the hologram that said activate as it allowed her skill to now function.

"It's time to duel!" shouted Isaac as he Pinkie both drew fours cards from the sample decks.

"I'll start this duel off with my trusted Celtic Guardian(1400/1200)." said Isaac as he placed the card on the table. Soon his visor registered what he said as on the holographic image of the field, both the girls and pets as well as Mr. William saw a 3D model of the monster appear as it moved about in real time.

"Woah!" said the girls as they saw the monster appear on the card without having to use a duel disk.

"Indeed, the visor that Pinkie and Isaac are wearing allows them to create 3D models of the monsters they play and with the holographic image that's being displayed between them, anybody not wearing a visor can also see it to enjoy." stated Mr. William.

"With that I end my turn. Go ahead, Pinkie."

Turn 2: Pinkie

"Aw, I was expecting something more. Oh well." smiled the pink girl as she drew her card and looked at her hand. "I'll start this duel off with my Toon Table of Contents. This spell card lets me add any 'Toon' card from my deck to my hand." So while Pinkie manually grabbed the pre-construct deck and looked for the card she wanted, up on the holographic field was all of Pinkie's options so that the girls and Mr. William could see.

"Man, this thing is incredible so far." stated Rainbow as she was now intrigued and was hoping to get a battle in with this 'Speed Duel'.

"Which one? Let's see, eeny, meeny, miny, moe. That one." said Pinkie as she just used one of her rhyme to pick a card at random since she couldn't decide which one she wanted.

"Did she really just do that?" asked Rarity.

"Perfect, I got Toon World!" said the girl as she placed the card on the field, but up on the screen for the others to see Pinkie's field had a book as it was tons of cartoonish buildings and worlds appear as some music accompanied it. "This is where the fun begins, so let's get this party started. So I pay 1000 life points to activate my Toon World."
Pinkie's Life Points: 3000-

"Now that my Toon World is active. I'm free to summon the rest of my beloved toons, come on out Toon Gemini Elf(1900/900) and Toon Mermaid(1400/1500)." Pinkie placed her card on the table but once more since she and Isaac had the visor one they could see the monsters appear in 3D while the others saw it on the screen being projected for them to watch.

"But my Toon Mermaid won't be sticking around for long, I tribute it to special summon Toon Summoned Skull(2500/1200) from my hand." said Pinkie as she replaced one of her monsters with a more powerful one.

"Oh, no." said Isaac as he realized the situation. Thankfully, Pinkie's toons can't attack on the turn they're summoned. Which gives me time to figure out a plan before she wipes me out.

"I set the last card in my hand facedown."

Turn 3: Isaac

"My turn, I draw." said Isaac. "To start, I'll switch my Celtic Guardian into defense mode. Then I'll activate my Backup Squad spell card, now each time I take 1000 or more points of damage from one of your card effects or monsters' attacks, this continuous spell card lets me draw one card for every 1000 points of damage that I take. Next, I activate Summoner's Art, this card lets me add a Level 5 or higher normal monster from my deck to my hand."

"Oh, I think we know which monster Isaac is gonna choose." said Sunset.

"I choose... Gaia the Fierce Knight!" said Isaac as he showed the card and added it to his hand.

"What?!!!" shouted the girls as they thought for sure their friend would pick his Dark Magician.

"Curious choice, Isaac-boy." said Mr. William as he too was shocked that Isaac wasn't choosing his magician.

"Why choose that, Isaac?" asked Pinkie.

"Let me show you. Go Activate Skill!!!" shouted Isaac as his visor heard his request and then began to function as granted the boy access. For the girls then were now seeing Isaac's skill card on the screen as it had some info for them to follow as Isaac continued with his turn.

"Your skill?" asked Pinkie.

"Remember, I'm quick learner when it comes to learning about different ways to play Duel Monsters. I activate Knight of Legend!" said Isaac as it was the skill he had chosen for this battle. "This skill allows me to normal summon a 'Gaia the Fierce Knight' without tribute each turn. Come forth, Gaia the Fierce Knight(2300/2100)." Isaac played the card on the table as in his vizor and on the screen it turned into a 3D model of the rider as his horse let out a neigh and he raised his lance high in the air. "In addition, to making it easier to summon Gaia, the Knight of Legend skill also allows any 'Gaia the Fierce Knight' monster or 'Gaia the Dragon Champion' monster I control to inflict piercing damage while it's attacking a defense position monster. Plus, once per turn, it if inflicts piercing damage with this skill, I get to draw two cards and then discard one card."

"I'm impressed with how quickly you've adapted to the rules of Speed Duel, Isaac-boy." said Mr. William as once again the boy managed to impress him with his skills.

"However, there's a drawback that's attached to my Knight of Legend skill. While Gaia is on my field, I can't activate set cards in my spell and trap card zone. But even so, I put my faith in Gaia the Fierce Knight. Gaia attack and destroy Pinkie's Toon Gemini Elf!" instructed the boy as on the screen and in his vizor his monster raced across the table and looked to take out the 3D image of Pinkie's toon monster.

"Nope." smiled Pinkie. "I activate my trap card, Security Orb. This trap card switches your attacking monster into defense position rending it harmless." Gaia then stopped in its track as it lowered its lance. "Aww, so cute. So tiny." said Pinkie as she put her head forward and petted the small creature. Gaia then spoke in small dialect that nobody could understand except the other monsters as raised his lance at Pinkie for petting him and calling the little thing, 'tiny'. He then slowly walking back to Isaac's side as he got into defense mode.

"I'll end my turn." said Isaac.

Turn 4: Pinkie

"My turn, I set one card facedown and then enter my battle phase. My Toon Summoned Skull can't attack unless I pay 500 life points but that's a small price to pay." smiled the girl.
Pinkie's Life Points: 2500-

"Toon Summoned Skull attack Isaac directly!" instructed the girl as her monster bypass her friend's monsters and went straight for his life points as she dealt a major hit.
Isaac's Life Points: 1500-

"Since I lost twenty five hundred life points from your attack, I get to draw two cards from my deck with the effect of Backup Squad." said Isaac as he drew from his deck.

"Now Toon Gemini Elf, attack Isaac directly and end this duel!! Also buy that candy wand!!!" shouted Pinkie as that last part was personally to her as her big brother didn't want to get it for her.

"Like I said when we saw, no! And this duel isn't over yet, Pinkie. I discard Kuriboh from my hand; Kuriboh's effect reduces all battle damage from your monster to zero." said Isaac as his tiny monster did its job and step in front of Pinkie's attack as he remained.

"Alright then, it's your move."

Turn 5: Isaac

"I draw. I tribute Gaia the Fierce Knight and Celtic Guardian, come forth my ever faithful companion, Dark Magician!!!" shouted Isaac. He now played his ace spellcaster as on the screen everybody watching was amazed by how Isaac's magician looked as he made his presence known on the field.

"With Gaia off my field, I can once again activate facedown cards. I'm setting two of them, now Dark Magician attack Pinkie's Toon Gemini Elf. Dark Magic Attack!" said the boy as his magician took out Pinkie's monster.
Pinkie's Life Points: 1900-

"I now activate Toon Mask. Toon Mask lets me special summon a monster from my deck with an equal or lower level than the level of a monster on your field. And what monster is better to compete with your Dark Magician then with my Toon Dark Magician." said Pinkie as she now had a cartoon version of her big brother's monster.

"I now end my turn."

Turn 6: Pinkie

"It's my turn, and now to attack you with your own monster. Toon Dark Magician attack Isaac directly!"

"Not so fast, Pinkie! I activate quick-play spell card, Twister." said Isaac. "By giving up 500 life points, I destroy one faceup spell or trap card on the field and I choose Toon World." Soon a giant wind on the screen came on as it was traveling towards Pinkie's Toon World as it looked to blow it away. However, one the wind ended, Pinkie's Toon World was still in play.
Isaac's Life Points: 1000-

"What?!" said Isaac as he looked into his vizor to see that Pinkie's spell card was still there.

"Oops, I forgot to tell you about my skill, big bro." smiled Pinkie. "I activated it at the start of the duel."

"Your skill?" stated the boy.

"That's right, Toon Mayhem." Pinkie then showed off her skill card as it came on the screen for the others to see. "With this skill activate the first time Toon World would be destroyed each turn it's not destroyed."

"I thought you might do something like that, Pinkie. Which is why I also set this card." Isaac then flipped over his second card he previously set on his turn. "Spell Shattering Arrow! This quick-play spell card can destroy all of your face-up spells and inflicts 500 points of damage to your life points for each of them. And since you've used your Toon Mayhem skill this turn, you're powerless to defend against it. Your Toon World is destroyed!" An arrow appeared in their vizors and on the screen as it shot towards the book and Pinkie's world of cartoons began to crumble as it was destroyed.
Pinkie's Life Points: 1400-

"And with it destroyed, so is your Toom Summoned Skull." said Isaac.

"Unlike the my other toons, my Toon Dark Magician can remain on the field after Toon World is destroyed."

"Perhaps, but without Toon World on your field, my Dark Magician will be able to defend me."

"Toon Dark Magician attack!" shouted Pinkie.

"Dark Magician counter-attack!" shouted Isaac.

On the screen both 3D models of the monsters raised their wands up and pointed it at each other as they fired a powerful spell that hit both monsters dead on as it resulted in two smokescreens to appear as they were gone and neither player had any monsters.

"I end my turn."

Turn 7: Isaac

"It's my turn, so all I need to do is draw a monster with more than 1400 attack points and I'll win the duel." informed Isaac to Pinkie as he drew his card. "I set a facedown card and end my turn."

Turn 8: Pinkie

"I draw." said Pinkie as she was relived that her friend didn't summon a monster to wipe out her remaining points. Unfortunately for her, she too didn't draw a monster to summon. "Looks we're both lucky, bro. I end my turn."

"Seriously, neither of them drew a monster on their turn?!" said Rainbow.

"Guess this isn't going to be done anytime soon." stated Fluttershy.

Turn 9: Isaac

"My turn," said the boy as this time he did draw a monster card, "I summon Beaver Warrior(1200/1500). Now Beaver Warrior attack Pinkie directly!" said the boy as his tiny beast-warrior raced forward and did a light jab at Pinkie as she found it a bit ticklish.

"That tickles." laughed the girl. She then touched Isaac's tiny monster as he too shouted in a dialect that none of them could hear as he waved his sword at the girl angrily about before returning to Isaac's side.
Pinkie's Life Points: 200-

Turn 10: Pinkie

"Now it's my turn," said the girl, "I draw. I summon Sonic Bird(1400/1000) to the field. This monster's effect lets me add a ritual spell card from my deck to my hand. And I choose my Black Illusion Ritual."

"Oh no!" said Isaac as he knew what Pinkie was going to do.

"Now I activate Black Illusion Ritual. I tribute my Sonic Bird to perform a ritual summon, he's my monster that's quite the looker, Relinquished(0/0)." said Pinkie as she had a powerful monster on the field as it caused Isaac to be worried. "Now Relinquished activate your hypnotic attraction." Pinkie's monster then used its power as it started to absorb Isaac's Beaver Warrior into it as it was sticking out on its arm.

"Relinquished has the power to absorb any one of your monsters and gains the stats of any monsters it's equipped to that means it has 1200 attack points and 1500 defense points just like your Beaver Warrior did. And that's more than enough attack points to finish you off, big bro. Now Relinquished attack Isaac directly and end this duel!" said Pinkie.

"Not so fast, Pinkie!" stated Isaac. "I activate my trap card, the Spellbinding Circle." A magical circle that magical properties then shot forward on the screen and in their vizors as it captured Relinquished in it as it confided its movements. "This trap card ensnares your monster preventing it from attacking or changing its battle positions and lowers your monster's attack points by 700. My life points are safe."

"Fine, I end my turn."

Turn 11: Isaac

"It's my turn," said Isaac as he had no cards in his hand as he drew from his deck, "I set a monster facedown and then end my turn."

Turn 12: Pinkie

"I draw, perfect." smiled Pinkie evilly. "Just because my Relinquished is trapped in your Spellbinding Circle doesn't mean that I can't put it to use. I activate Polymerization. Now I fuse Relinquished on my field with Thousand Eyes Idol in my hand." In the vizor and on the screen, Pinkie's two monsters appeared side by side as a vortex appeared behind them full of orange and purple colors as both were sucked in as the new monster's outline was shown. "I Fusion Summon! Thousand Eyes Restrict(0/0)!" Pinkie's new monster literally had one thousand eyes all over its entire body.

"My Thousand Eyes Restrict stops all other monsters from attacking bringing this duel to a halt. Plus, its effect allows it to assimilate any of your monsters. I'll choose the only monster on your field, your facedown monster and equip it to my Thousand Eyes Restrict." said Pinkie as she took a look at what monster Isaac had as she knew what he was planning to do with that monster.

"Oh no." said Isaac as he was without any monsters.

"Thanks for the Old Vindictive Magician, bro. Fortunately for you since your monster was facedown, my Thousand Eyes Restrict doesn't gain any attack or defense points from absorbing your monster. But it did allow me to stop it from triggering its effect, was that what you were planning?" asked Pinkie with a smug smile.

"Yes." said Isaac as he gritted his teeth.

"See, I know my big brother too well. It's your move."

Turn 13: Isaac

"I draw." said Isaac as he looked at his card and saw that he couldn't use it. "Pinkie you've bought yourself time by stopping all monsters from attacking but that won't be enough. I pass my turn."

"My, my." said Mr. William as he was intrigued that Isaac did an action that he rarely did.

Turn 14: Pinkie

"I draw!" said Pinkie hoping she could draw something that would end this duel. "Grr."

"What's the matter, little sis?" taunted Isaac as he could tell by the expression on Pinkie's face that she drew a bad card. "Is your Thousand Eyes Restrict getting in your way?"

"I too pass my turn."

Turn 15: Isaac

"Then it's my turn." said Isaac as he drew his card. "I set a card facedown and end my turn."

"Seriously?!" shouted Rainbow.

"These past three turns or so, neither of them has done anything. Nor have they drawn the card they needed." informed Twilight.

Turn 16: Pinkie

"It's now my turn," Pinkie looked at her deck as she prayed this time she could draw something useful, "Perfect. I've drawn just the card to break through this boring stalemate. I tribute my Thousand Eyes Restrict to summon the Level 5 Illusionist Faceless Mage(1200/2200)." Pinkie's old monster then disappeared as standing there was here new monster as it looked to win this fight. "With Thousand Eyes Restrict off of the field, the lock on our attacks is broken. But my Thousand Eyes Restrict bought me the time I needed to get a monster on the field that will finish you off. My Illusionist Faceless Mage has 1200 attack points and you only have 1000 life points. Illusionist Faceless Mage, attack Isaac directly and finally put an end to this duel!"

"I activate a trap card! Eliminating the League!" said Isaac as he used his vizor to activate his facedown. "By discarding a spell card from my hand, I'll be able to destroy any face-up monster on the field along with all copies of it from your hand. I choose your Illusionist Faceless Mage!" With that Pinkie's monster was destroyed as Isaac survived the round.

"Fine, party pooper. I end my turn."

Turn 17: Isaac

"Now then, it's my turn." said Isaac. "I draw! I activate Advanced Ritual Art!"

"Advanced Ritual Art?!" said Mr. William. "That card isn't in your Speed Duel starter deck." said the man as he remembered all the cards that were in both prototype decks that Isaac and Pinkie were currently using.

"Perhaps, but it was with the other cards that came with both prototype decks. And since you sent the variant cards to me in the same box as these starter decks, I added Advanced Ritual Art to my deck by simply swapping a card out right before the duel began." informed Isaac to everyone.

"Ha, ha, ha." laughed Mr. William as once again the boy surprised him with not only his skills but also his ability to adaptive and think ahead in any situation. "You continue to amaze me, Isaac-boy. But of course, I should have expected you to have a surprise up your sleeve."

"Thanks, sir." said Isaac before going back to the duel. "With this spell card, I can ritual summon a monster by tributing normal monsters in my deck. I send the Level 5 Curse of Dragon and Level 3 Giant Soldier of Stone from my deck to my graveyard." Isaac's vizor now projected his monsters side by side as they entered a stone platform as a beam of energy and magical fire enveloped them as the image of the new monster was shown by its outline. "The forces of light and darkness intertwine, I open the gates of chaos! Bring forth, Black Luster Soldier(3000/2500)!" Isaac's new monster appeared as it showed up on screen as it was a badass looking warrior with a sword and shield.

"My Black Luster Soldier has 3000 attack points which is more than enough to finish you off. Now Black Luster Soldier attack Pinkie directly and end this duel!!" shouted Isaac. His monster heard its command as it raced forward and delivered a hard slash as Pinkie's tiny avatar as her life points dropped.
Pinkie's Life Points: 0-

Winner: Isaac

"Duel over." said the vizors as the holographic images and field that were projected disappeared and the vizors that Pinkie and Isaac wore powered down.

"What a doozy." said Pinkie as she took off her device and was giddy.

"I'll say." said the boy as he removed the device from his right eye. "This Speed Duel was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it, Mr. William."

"I'm glad you both had fun." said the man. He then had some results pop up on his computer that was sitting next to him as he had a smile on his face. "And the results that were transmitted to me show the duel was a 100% success. I thank you all for helping me to test these Speed duels out, I can't wait for this to finally be polished and then released out to the public."

"I'll say." said Rainbow. "This seems like my kind of alley."

"I wanna try one." said Sunset as she began to grab some cards.

"I'm willin' to give this a shot." stated Applejack as she took some of the cards in the big box.

"Glad you all enjoyed, I'll let you guys keep the cards. Have fun." said the man as the video call ended on Isaac's duel disk.

Sometime later, the gang was still trying out these Speed Duels and all the different skills they could use. Twilight got a message on her phone as she quietly sneaked away from the group and made her way upstairs to her room as she locked it so that no one could disturb her. Once everything was set, she then grabbed her duel disk as she received a call.

"Report." said Twilight in a soft tone.

"Yes, I've got the results you've requested, Twilight." said the person.

"Thank you, send them to my program. With that last piece of info, it should help finish my 'project'." informed the girl.

"At once, Twilight. Though I will say, there's a piece of data that we just discovered and are also transmitting to you. I hope this can help you to finish, I will say you took on a huge role doing this project."

"It wasn't easy, but I think I'm almost done with it. Keep me informed of any more updates." stated Twilight.

"At once. See you, Twilight." said Mr. William as the transmission cut off and ended.

Twilight then approached her laptop as she began to run the results and was getting closer to finishing her secret project.

"Nicole, respond."

"Scanning, Twilight." said her A.I. program as it implemented the new data it received from the current owner of Industrial Illusions. "Restoration at... 50%."

It was pretty cool in seeing Speed Duels happening right there.
Especially with how it was in Duel Links.

William though forgot to mention that in Speed Duels, your Extra Deck would only allow up to 5 cards instead of 15 iirc.
