Chapter 152: Nature vs Nurture
"That duel was a really rebel rouser." said Celestia. "A battle between two phenomenal duelists and their flock of birds."
"Indeed, Shadow brought everything he could with his Raidraptors. But in the end, Penny and her Blackwings were able to outsoar and outfly the young boy as she will now be heading towards the final round of this tournament. But who will she face, that remains to be seen." stated Luna. "And we're not gonna waste a moment longer, ladies and gentleman on my right is none other than Fluttershy. And on my left is her opponent, Lucky Star." Luna's response was met with a round of cheers and applause as both girls approached the dueling field.
Both girls took the situation in as they knew what was on the line. Both were just one win away from getting into the final round, however as good as both of them were, there could only be one winner. Fluttershy and Lucky Star each gave a nod as they looked at one another. They both turned to look at Isaac who was sitting on his throne and he too gave a nod as it served as the signal to let the duel begin. They then grabbed their decks and slid them as their duel disks activated with Fluttershy's projecting a yellow card tray and Lucky Star materializing an emerald color tray.
"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing." said their duel disks.

Turn 1: Lucky Star
"I'll start things off, so watch out!" said Lucky Star as she drew her card. "I'll summon Harpie Dancer(1200/1000) in defense mode." Out emerged a birdwoman as she had white wings and had long flowing blond hair as she appeared in a tornado of feathers as it showed off her beauty. Harpie Dancer quickly looked at Isaac who was observing the duel as she silently blushed at the appearance of the young boy. "Why is she turning red?" asked Lucky Star as she noticed her monster's face lighting up. "Anyways, I'll just throw a facedown to end my turn."
Turn 2: Fluttershy
"My turn, I'll start by summoning my Beast Striker(1850/400) in attack mode." said Fluttershy. Out came an ape creature as it had some tusks on its mouth and wielded a large hammer over its shoulder as it let out a cry. "I now activate my monster's ability, so by discarding one card I can summon Moja(100/100) from my deck." Fluttershy then sent a card to her graveyard as out on her field came a small creature that was round and black as it had a yellow face. "Now the card I sent to the graveyard was my Fabled Cerburrel(1000/400) and since I discarded it, I can now special summon it back." Fluttershy's duel disk then ejected her card as she grabbed it and then played it on her card tray. Out on her field came a tiny monster as it had three heads and its tail had a face on it.
"Now she has 3 monsters all on her first turn." said Lucky Star to herself.
"Now I'll have my Beast Striker attack your Harpie Dancer!" stated Fluttershy as her creature then swung its hammer down on Lucky Star's monster as it was crushed by the weight of the object. "Next, I'll end my turn."
Turn 3: Lucky Star
"My turn, and I'll start by revealing my Alluring Mirror Split. Then I summon Birdface(1600/1600)." Lucky Star now had a feather warrior appear on her field as it spreaded it wings as it let out screech. "Now Birdface, take out her Fabled Cerburrel!" commanded Lucky Star. Her monster then soared high into the air as it unleashed its talons and did a slash attack that took out Fluttershy's tiny monster.
"With that I'll end my turn."
Turn 4: Fluttershy
"Then it's my draw." said Fluttershy. "Now I summon Bicorn Re'em(800/1600) in defense mode." Fluttershy now had a large feline appear on her field as it had two long horns sticking out from its head. "Now I tune my Level 4 Bicorn Re'em with my Level 1 Moja!" Bicorn Re'em then transformed into four giant green rings as it started to circle Moja as the little thing jumped in between them. "Feel the winds blow and watch the storm clouds up above rumble with electricity as I Synchro Summon, Thunder Unicorn(2200/1800)!" Fluttershy's new beast raced from the heavens in a bolt of lightning as it landed with the sound of thunder as it gave out a loud neigh as it clawed at the ground.
"Now since I used Bicorn Re'em to synchro summon, two cards from your deck are sent to the graveyard." Thunder Unicorn then charged forward as it used its horn to strike at Lucky Star's deck as her two top cards as she grabbed them and sent them away. "Then Thunder Unicorn take out her Birdface! Super Charger Bolt!" shouted Fluttershy. Her monster heard the command given to it by his beloved princess as he lowered his horn and started to race forward. Soon he made contact with its target as Birdface felt the surge of electricity as it was shocked and then exploded as there was nothing but feathers.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 7400-
"Now I activate my monster's effect, since it was destroyed by battle, I can add a 'Harpie Lady' from my deck to my hand." Lucky Star then used her duel disk screen as she saw her options. Once she made her decision, she clicked confirm and then it slotted out her choice for her to grab.
"With that I'll lay a facedown and end my turn."
Turn 5: Lucky Star
"Then we're back to me." said Lucky Star as she drew her card and began to look at the field. "Now I play Cyber Harpie Lady(1800/1300) and I'll give her a boost with Rose Whip to raise her attack and defense points by 300." Out appeared a fierce female bird lady as she had claws and talons as she wore a metal suit that covered her body. She then had a whip appear in her hand as it was covered in thorns as she gave it a loud crack that was heard throughout the field as it sounded like a gunshot went off.
"Now Cyber Harpie attack her Beast Striker!" shouted Lucky Star.
Her monster then smiled sinisterly as she flew over to Fluttershy's side of the field. Beast Striker then tried to swat away Cyber Harpie as he used its hammer to hit the flying target. Cyber Harpie just dodged the swings with ease as she used her whip and wrapped it around the hammer as she yanked it out of Beast Striker's hand as he was now defenseless; she then zoomed in and using her whip unleashed a flurry of whips and lashes as that caused Beast Striker to let out a cry as its body was covered in marks as it was soon destroyed.
Fluttershy's Life Points: 7750-
"I'll then end my turn."
Turn 6: Fluttershy
"My turn, and to start I summon Mine Mole(1000/1200) in defense mode." The ground in front of Fluttershy now started to have a burrow appear as out came a tiny mole that had a miner's hat on its head and a small pickaxe in its claws. "Now I'll activate the effect of my Thunder Unicorn, for every non-Thunder Unicorn monster I control, your monster loses 500 attack points." Thunder Unicorn then pointed its horn at Cyber Harpie Lady as a bolt of electricity shot out and made contact with female bird lady. She felt the jolt as it paralyzed her for a bit as she dropped to her knees and dropped her whip.
"Now Thunder Unicorn attack, Super Charger Bolt!" stated Fluttershy. Thunder Unicorn then lowered its horn as it got into a jousting position; soon it took off as it pierced through Cyber Harpie Lady as he appeared past her as she exploded and created a smokescreen.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 6800-
"Now my continuous spell card, Alluring Mirror Split activates. Since a 'Harpy Lady' was destroyed in battle, I can now replace it with another 'Harpie' monster from my deck. So I choose to summon my Harpie's Pet Dragon(2000/2500)!" A dragon that was covered in red and had a chain wrapped around its neck soon emerged as it let out a roar that gave Fluttershy quite a scare.
"I guess, I'll end my turn." stated Fluttershy as she was still terrified by the dragon she saw standing in front of her.
Turn 7: Lucky Star
"Okay, here I go! I draw." stated Lucky Star. "Nice, I now play Hysteric Sign. When this card is activated, I can add an 'Elegant Egotist' from my deck to my hand." Her duel disk then registered what she wanted as it slid out the card for her to grab. "Then I'll summon my Harpie Lady #3(1300/1400). And now the ability of my Harpie's Pet Dragon activates in which it gains 300 extra attack and defense points for every 'Harpie Lady' on the field." Harpie's Pet Dragon then let out a roar as it felt the power boost surge through as another female bird monster appeared as she wore a feather suit and had a chain in one of her claws that was connected to the chain around Harpie's Pet Dragon.
"Now my Pet Dragon attack her Thunder Unicorn!" shouted Lucky Star. Her dragon then opened its mouth as it charged for its attack, soon it unleashed it as it shot a fireball as it headed towards Thunder Unicorn who barely had anytime to get out of the way.
Fluttershy's Life Points: 7650-
"Then Harpie Lady #3 take out her Mine Mole!" Lucky Star's other monster then flew high and unleashed its talons onto the tiny animal like it was dinner as it plunged the tiny animal into the ground as a small explosion occurred.
"My Mine Mole isn't going anywhere quickly, once per turn it can't be destroyed by battle." Soon next to Harpie Lady's talon there was another hole that was being dug up as out came Fluttershy's tiny creature as he stuck his tongue at the large female bird as she got ticked off and tried to swipe at the small rodent who just ducked back into his safety hole.
"Well, either way I took out your other monster. So I'll end my turn with a facedown."
Turn 8: Fluttershy
"My turn, and I'll play Foolish Burial and so I send one monster from my deck to my graveyard and the monster I choose is my Nimble Angler." Fluttershy's duel disk then slotted out her card for her to grab as she slotted it into the graveyard slot as its effect was now kicking in. "Then since I sent my Nimble Angler to the graveyard from my deck, I can now activate its special ability, which allows me to summon 2 Level 3 or lower 'Nimble' monsters from my deck. So I choose to play a pair of Nimble Beavers(400/100) in defense mode." Two smalls ponds of water now appeared in front of Fluttershy as out jumped her two furry mammals as they slapped their tails together like a high five as they each had a piece of bark in their mouths.
"Cute little things." said Lucky Star.
"Now I summon my Nimble Momonga(1000/100) in attack mode." Fluttershy now had a flying squirrel appear on her field as it joined the other 3 monsters on her field. "With that I'll end my turn."
Turn 9: Lucky Star
"Interesting, well then." said Lucky Star as she looked at the card she drew and then began to examine Fluttershy's field. "I play Elegant Egotist so that I can special summon my Harpie Lady Sisters(1950/2100) from my deck. Now Harpie's Pet Dragon attack her Nimble Momonga!" exclaimed Lucky Star. Her dragon heard its command as it opened its mouth and fired off a powerful fireball that scorched Fluttershy's squirrel and her life points.
Fluttershy's Life Points: 6350-
"Now the effect of my Nimble Momonga activates, since it was destroyed by battle, I not only gain 1000 life points, but I can summon another one in facedown defense position." stated Fluttershy as she regained some points and then grabbed another Nimble Momonga from her deck as she positioned it sideways on her card tray.
Fluttershy's Life Points: 7350-
"Well, that won't save you, cause now I'll have Harpie Lady Sisters take out your Nimble Beaver!" said Lucky Star as they were successful in taking out the furry water creature. "And now I'll have my Harpie Lady #3 attack your second Nimble Beaver."
"Not this time, I reveal my facedown, Beast Soul Swap." Fluttershy then touched her screen and activated her facedown as it appeared and rose up in front of her. "Now I can target 1 beast-type monster that I control and return it to my hand. Then I can special summon a beast-type monster that's the same level as the one I returned to my hand; return to me, Nimble Beaver!" Nimble Beaver glowed and shot away in an orb of white light; Fluttershy then looked through her hand and once she made her decision, she held her card up high. "Taking the place of my beaver will be my Mogmole(800/800) who I'll summon in defense mode." A small anthropomorphic mole with goggles and a giant hand drill popped out of the ground, blinking up at the Harpie Lady standing over it. Harpie Lady #3 looked down in return before it used its talons to squash the little thing into the ground. The ground next to the tunnel Mogmole had drilled shook, and another drill head emerged preceding a familiar pair of goggles.
"Thanks to Mogmole's special ability, when Mogmole is destroyed in battle I can revive it back in face-up defense position." stated Fluttershy.
"Great, then I'll end my turn." groaned Lucky Star as she was having trouble taking out Fluttershy's animal pals.
Turn 10: Fluttershy
"My turn, and by sending the Nimble Beaver in my hand, I can special summon Egotistical Ape(1200/1200)." Out emerged a tiny ape as it was cute and cuddly. It was then surrounded in a shadowy veil as it resembled a larger mean ape as it had its face shown being scary. "Now the effect of my Egotistical Ape activates, which means I can either increase or decrease its level by the level of the monster I discarded. So I'll reduce my Egotistical Ape by 2 so that it becomes Level 3." Fluttershy's monster then had its level changed so that she was able to now execute her move. "Now I tune my Level Egotistical Ape with my Level 3 Mine Mole and Level 2 Mogmole." Egotistical Ape then turned into three giant green rings that circled both Mine Mole and Mogmole as they both jumped into the rings. "Let the sky open up and now give way to a gleaming beast of electric might! I Synchro Summon, Lightning Tricorn(2800/2000)!" A bolt of lightning struck Fluttershy's field as out emerged a horse creature that had a yellow body with a blue mane and had three horns sticking out of its head with several along its body.
"Stellar monster." commented Lucky Star as she took in the creature that stood before her as it wasn't backing down from her dragon.
"Now my Mine Mole's special ability activates, since I used it to synchro summon, I get to draw one card." stated Fluttershy as he did that. "Now Lightning Tricorn attack her Harpie's Pet Dragon! Leaping Electric Lunge!!" shouted Fluttershy. Her beast obeyed her command as it zoomed over towards the dragon and then leaped up high into the air. It was looking to take Harpie's Pet Dragon head on as the two collided for a second. Soon a lightning bolt zoomed by as it touched the ground and there was Lightning Tricorn as it lifted its head up and let out a victorious neigh as the sound of thunder went off and Lucky Star's dragon was zapped and exploded.

"I'll then lay a facedown and end my turn."
Turn 9: Lucky Star
"My turn, and I'll summon my Harpie Channeler(1400/1300) in defense mode. Then I'll discard my Gryphon Wing from my hand so that I can special summon a 'Harpie' monster from my deck." Lucky Star then sent her card into the graveyard slot as she used her screen to select the one she wanted. "And I choose my Harpie Lady Perfumer(1400/1300)." Another monster rose up besides Harpie Channeler as she carried a bottle of the perfume as she spreaded her wings to show off her beauty. "Now since I special summoned my Harpie Lady Perfumer, I can add a spell or trap card in my graveyard back to my hand which lists 'Harpie Lady Sisters' in its text. So I'll take back my Elegant Egotist." Lucky Star's duel disk then
"In that case, I'll activate my facedown, Beast Burial Ritual. So by destroying my Nimble Momonga, I can draw two cards." Fluttershy then sent her flying squirrel to the graveyard as she drew some more cards.
"Not that I needed your help in taking out your monster, but thanks. Now I think I'll kick things up a notch. I overlay my Harpie Channeler, Harpie Perfumer, and Harpie Lady #3 to build the Overlay Network!" Lucky Star had her three monsters transform into dark orbs of light as they hovered in the air for a bit as a portal opened up in front of her. Soon the trio of lights entered the portal as they disappeared and a pillar of light emerged. "I Xyz Summon, Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon(2000/2500, OLU: 3)!" shouted Lucky Star. Out emerged a dragon that was a similar color scheme as Harpie's Pet Dragon as it let out a roar and looked at its prey.
"My dragon has a unique ability, in that as long as it has Xyz materials, it can attack you directly. But also you can't target any of my 'Harpie' monsters with effects or attacks." informed Lucky Star. "So now I attack you directly! Go get her my dragon!"
"I activate my facedown, Return Damage. Now I negate your attack and then you take the damage I would have taken!" shouted Fluttershy as her facedown flipped up. It provided a barrier that protected her and her monster as she was able to reflect the damage back at Lucky Star as she covered up as several explosions went off around her.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 4300-
"Lucky break." said Lucky Star as she gritted her teeth. "I'll end my turn and so my Phantasmal Dragon loses one of its overlay units."
Turn 10: Fluttershy
"My turn." Fluttershy then looked at her cards as she was trying to figure out what to do. She then used her duel disk screen as she touched the portrait of Lucky Star's Dragon as she was reading its effects. She then looked at her life point counter as she was running all her options.
"I'll summon Lock Cat(1200/1000) in defense mode." Fluttershy summoned her monster as out came a white cat that had a big lock and chain around its neck. "Then the effect of my Lock Cat activates, since I normal summoned it, I can special summon one Level 1 monster from my graveyard but its effects are negated. So I choose to revive my Moja in defense mode." A key then appeared in front of Lock Cat as it then slid into the key hole as it unlocked the chain; the lock then opened up and fell off as out emerged Fluttershy's tiny monster as it appeared on her field.
As long as Lucky Star has those Xyz materials, my options are limited. Best I can do is play defense to stop her from dealing me even more damage. "I'll end my turn there." said Fluttershy.
Turn 11: Lucky Star
"Then it's back to me, I draw." stated Lucky Star. "I'll move in to attack, Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon attack her directly!" Lucky Star's dragon heard its command as it opened its mouth and then unleashed a fireball that made contact with Fluttershy as she put her arms up as the attack landed around her.
Fluttershy's Life Points: 5350-
"Then I'll have my Harpie Lady Sister take out your Lock Cat." informed the girl as she had her other monster take out Fluttershy's feline as it let out a painful meow. "I'll then end my turn and so my dragon loses another Xyz material." (Hand 4)
Turn 12: Fluttershy
"My turn, and I'll set a monster facedown. Then I'll throw a facedown, that's all." stated the shy girl.
Turn 13: Lucky Star
"My draw, and now to attack I'll have my Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon attack you directly once more!" shouted Lucky Star as her dragon then opened its mouth for the third time as it looked to deal some serious damage towards the shy girl one final time.
"I reveal my facedown, Damage Lance. Now whenever a monster with 2000 or more attack points declares an attack, I can then inflict you with 1000 points of damage, then the attack monster losing 1000 attack points." Fluttershy's facedown then flipped up as it shot a beam of energy that pierced through Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon as it made contact with Lucky Star who was pushed back a bit as her feet dragged along the grass.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 3300-
"Either way, my dragon is immune to your trap card's effect so it won't lose any attack points. Push through!!!" shouted Lucky Star as he gave out a yell as her then muscled through the effect of Fluttershy's card as it fired off an attack at the shy girl this time making sure it hit her head on as she covered up to avoid getting hurt.
Fluttershy's Life Points: 3350-
After that attack, both girls were now breathing heavily as they took some deep breaths. Both girls were giving it their all as they each wanted to be the one who would move on to the final round. This alone was translating into an incredible battle as everybody watching was intrigued. For Isaac, he had a smile on his face as he too was enjoying himself.
"Not bad, now I'll have my Harpie Lady Sisters attack your Moja." Harpie Lady Sisters then took flight as they all soared high into the air and then swooped down and took out Fluttershy's tiny creature. "Then I'll play my spell card, Harpie's Feather Rest. Now I can shuffle 3 'Harpie Lady' from my graveyard back into my deck, and I get to draw a card. But since I have a Level 5 or higher monster on field, I get to draw 2 cards instead. So I'll shuffle back my Harpie Dancer, Harpie Channeler, and Harpie Perfume back into my deck." Lucky Star's duel disk then slotted the cards out for her to grab as she placed them on top of her deck as the autoshuffler kicked in and then she drew her two cards.
"Now I'll summon Harpie's Pet Baby Dragon(1200/600) in attack mode." A tiny egg appeared on Lucky Star's field as soon it started to crack and then it hatched to reveal a small tiny dragon as it let out a small roar and a small fireball. "Now my monster's effect, activates depending on how many 'Harpie' monsters I currently control other than my baby dragon. So since I control 2 'Harpie' monsters, that means my baby dragon has his attack and defense points doubled. And you can't target any of my other monsters except for him." stated Lucky Star. "I'll then end my turn."
Turn 14: Fluttershy
"My turn, and I'll start by summoning my Playful Possum(800/600)." A small marsupial then appeared on her field as it gave a hiss. "Now I activate my possum's effect, so since you control a monster with higher attack points I can destroy it." Fluttershy's monster then played died as it disappeared from the field. "Then I'll flip over the monster I set previously, my Super-Nimble Mega Hamster(1100/1800)." Fluttershy flipped her monster over as it was revealed to be huge fat hamster that had a lighting bolt mark on its belly. "Now since I flipped over my hamster, I can activate its special ability, to summon a Level 3 or lower Beast-type monster from my deck in facedown defense position." Fluttershy then used her duel disk as she selected the card she wanted as it slotted out for her to grab as she position on her card tray sideways.
"Now time to attack, Lightning Tricorn attack her Harpie's Pet Baby Dragon!" commanded Fluttershy. Her horse then charged forward as it took out Lucky Star's little drake as he tried to stop the beast but couldn't.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 2500-
"I'll then place a card facedown and end my turn."
Turn 15: Lucky Star
"My turn, and I draw. Now since I control a Level 5 or higher monster, I can special summon my Harpie Oracle(1300/1400) to the field. And by special summoning her, I can add a spell or trap card from my graveyard to my hand that list 'Harpie Lady Sisters'. So I'll take back my Harpie's Feather Rest." Another female bird lady appeared as she wore blue feathers and hair as she held a blue orb that allowed her to see things. Lucky Star's duel disk then slotted out her card for her to grab as she added it to her hand. "Next up is my Monster Reborn so that I can bring back my Harpie's Pet Dragon in defense mode! And as you know, my dragon gains 300 extra attack and defense points for every 'Harpie Lady' monster on my field. So since I currently have 1 'Harpie Lady' monsters, that means my dragon has 2800 defense points." stated Lucky Star as her dragon let out a roar.
"Now I'll attack your Super-Nimble Mega Hamster with my Harpie Lady Sisters!" The three ladies then soared high into the air as they started to chase the chunky rodent as he tried to run away only for it get picked up out of the air as it was tossed high into the air as it soon started to fall down as it collided with the ground in a small explosion. "Now Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon attack her facedown!" Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon then fired a fireball as it collided with Fluttershy's facedown.
"I'm not going out without a fight!" Fluttershy shot back. Her facedown card flipped over, revealing a small feathered mask and a pair of hands clutching a tiny axe. "The monster that you attack was none other than my Hane-Hane(450/500), and when you flipped it up with your attack, you activated its ability. Now I can return a monster on the field back to the hand, and I choose your Harpie's Pet Dragon!" Hane-Hane swung its axe and sent a massive gust of wind up at Harpie's Pet Dragon who was blown off the field as it turned into a white light that appeared in Lucky Star's hand.
"You'll pay for that, I end my turn."
Turn 16: Fluttershy
"Then it's my draw, and now the second effect of my Playful Possum activates so that means I can summon it back to my field in defense mode." stated Fluttershy as she drew her card while her monster returned to her field. "Now I summon my Valerifawn, Mystical Beast of the Forest. And then I'll use its special ability, so by discarding one card, I can revive a Level 2 or lower Beast-type monster from my graveyard in attack mode or facedown defense position. And the monster I choose is my Mogmole." Fluttershy then sent a card from her hand to the graveyard as a tiny deerling appeared on her side of the field as it pranced about. She then took the card ejected by her duel disk and placed it sideways on her card tray.
"Now I overlay both my Level 2 Playful Possum and my Level 2 Valerifawn to build the Overlay Network!" Fluttershy's two tiny monsters then turned into dark orbs of light as they levitated in the air for a bit as a portal opened up in front of her. Soon they both disappeared inside of the portal as a pillar of light emerged. "I unite the powers of my deer and possum to call upon a brave new animal guardian, I Xyz Summon, Number 64: Ronin Raccoon Sandayu(1000/1000, OLU: 2)!" The red light burst apart, revealing a humanoid raccoon in red samurai armor, its eyes glowing. Two orbs of red light orbited the air around it, trails in their wake. Twin capes of yellow burst from its shoulders to flutter in the air. It reached to its back and pulled out a large polearm, spinning it twice and then pointing it at Lucky Star.
"Now I activate Ronin Raccoon's special ability, by using one overlay unit, it can create a ‘Kagemusha Raccoon Token’ with attack points equal to the strongest monster on the field. And that so happens to be my Lightning Tricorn so it now has 2800 attack points." The orb of light floated back to Ronin Raccoon and grew into a ghostly red samurai raccoon, a katana strapped to its back.
"Now my token take out her Harpie's Pet Phantasmal Dragon!" commanded Fluttershy as her furry little creature pulled out its katana and took out the bigger dragon that felt the slash as it exploded.
Lucky Star's Life Points: 1700-
"Now I'll have my Lightning Tricorn take out your Harpie Oracle!" stated Fluttershy.
"Hold on, I reveal my facedown, Harpie Lady Elegance! So now I shuffle back my Harpie Lady Sisters from my field back into my deck, and in exchange I can replace them with 3 different 'Harpie' monsters from my hand, deck, and graveyard." Lucky Star then placed her monster on top of her deck as the autoshuffler kicked in and slotted out the two cards she wanted. Lucky Star now had three more monsters appear on her field.

Turn 17: Lucky Star
"Then it's my turn, and time I end this duel." stated Lucky Star as she drew her card. "Now I'll play Harpie's Feather Duster so now I can blow away all of your spell and trap cards!" Lucky Star held her card out as a giant wind of feathers was starting to blow over the field.
"Not gonna happen, now sending my Albert the Flying Squirrel to the graveyard, I can destroy one spell or trap card!" shouted Fluttershy as she sent the last card in her hand to the graveyard. A flying squirrel then appeared as she gave her a smile, he then put down his goggles and then with the power of a jet shot off like a bullet towards Lucky Star as it exploded in her hand as she felt pain from the explosion.
"Ow!" said Lucky Star as she clutched her hand and soothed it from pain.
Good, now all I need to do is have her attack me. Then I can activate my Barrier Wave, it may mean giving up my Lightning Tricorn, but whatever monster Lucky Star attacks with, she'll take damage equal to that monster's attack points.
"I should have expected you do to something like that. I can only assume that your facedown is something that will wipe the rest of life points away. So I had to bait out any protection you had to keep that facedown." stated Lucky Star as it caused Fluttershy to go big-eyed. "Your facedown has been on the field for quite sometime, if it wasn't any major, you would've activated it already. That alone means it's a card that will finish me off. Well, sorry to say it won't happen. Cause I summon Harpie Lady #2 and then play the spell card, Harpie Lady Phoenix Formation!" Cyber Harpy Lady and Harpie Lady #2 then soared high into the air as they were surrounded by flames.
"Thanks to this card, I can destroy your Lightning Tricorn as well as your token and then you take damage equal to their attack points!" shouted Lucky Star.
"No, but then that means..." Fluttershy realized that she couldn't activate her facedown to save her.
Cyber Harpie Lady and Harpie Lady #2 then soared down in a blazing inferno as they engulfed Lightning Tricorn and Fluttershy's token who both let out a screech as they were soon destroyed and Fluttershy felt the aftereffect of the card as she dropped to her knees as her life points ticked down.
Fluttershy's Life Points: 0-
Winner: Lucky Star
"And the winner of the second semi-final duel is... Lucky Star!!" shouted Luna.
"MEOW!!" said Tigre as she and Angel Bunny were shocked by what they saw.
"Ha! Ha! Ha!" said Spike as he couldn't contain his laughter anymore. "Looks like you ain't winning this bet either, pussy cat." Spike was now enjoying himself as he was glad that he wasn't the only loser in this bet.
Tigre then knocked the dog off the couch as he fell down on the floor with a thud. Opal let out a meow as she felt it was uncouth of Spike. All the other pets just let out a small chuckle as they watched Spike had some tiny birds circling around his head as he lied down on the floor.

This was a good duel.
I would point out a few errors but well.. I have some stuff on my mind irl so I will do so later.
But I do have one thing to say so far..
Honestly this part really made me mad inside.
So its ok for her and the other pets to laugh at Spike's misery but its not ok for Spike to laugh back at her when her part of the bet lost?
Its ok for them to laugh at Spike but not ok for him to laugh at them??
What a bunch of freaking hypocrites.
When that bet was happening, I was worried Spike would lose and end up as the butt of the joke.
Sadly while he didn't really lose, he ended up as the butt of the joke anyway since they laughed at him when Sci-Twi lost and they laughed at him when he got hurt for laughing at Tigre's lost(which was double-standard of her since she freaking laughed at him for Sci-Twi losing and the other pets laughed at him.). Sorry if I sound bothersome but that part really frustrated me there..

You do realize that it was suppose to be a funny moment. Like when your friend loses and when you make fun of them, they just smack you on the head to get you to shut up. And then your other friends all laugh since it was funny.

Problem is, it comes off as Spike isn't allowed to laugh at them but they are allowed to laugh at him.
Tigre suffered no physical repercussions for laughing at Spike but Spike did.
When Tigre laughed at him, the other pets laughed at Spike's misery but when karma was supposed to hit, instead Spike got hit more with the pets laughing at him even more.
Hell, Opal thinking its uncouth for Spike to laugh at their friend's misery and yet bats no eye on Tigre doing that at him?

Pretty good Chapter. Thought for sure Fluttershy was going to win. But guess that wasn't the case this time. Glad to see Lucky Star coming out with the win. Also. Like the bit at the end with Spike. He laughed, he fell, the circling birds came out. That is old cartoon humor there and I like it.

I honestly didn't like the bit since Spike didn't deserve it.
Tigre and the others laughed at him when Sci-Twi lost, so he should be allowed to laugh back when Tigre's rep(Fluttershy) lost.
Tigre should be the one facing karma since she laughed at Spike's like that, but instead Spike got hurt and the other pets laughed at him again. Karma should have been hitting Tigre there, not suddenly turn around and hit the wrong target.
Opal thinking its uncouth of Spike to laugh at Tigre's misery and yet they all laughed at Spike's misery from a couple of chapters ago with Sci-Twi losing. Which is pretty double-standard of the other pets there.
I get the author wanted a funny moment but it didn't work in this case due to the circumstances.
I know its weird I am making a big deal about this(hopefully I am not offending the author too) but.. given how Spike has been the butt of the joke many times in the show, it felt like a part of me just reacted from the soreness, especially since Spike didn't deserve what happened to him there in this case.

Ok. Maybe the animals took it a bit too far. But it's not to be taken this seriously buddy. It's a old gag of cartoons past so it's not to everyone's taste but it's still just that. A. Gag. It's not really mean spirited that Spike talked some shit about Tigre's choice loosing and in turn. Karma came back to him in the form of him getting knocked off the couch. The point is. Cool the breaks on harping on the author about Spike in his minor role in the grand scheme of it all.
