Chapter 175: Star Swirl Music Festival
“So, you really trust me?” said someone.
“I do.” responded Isaac as he was on the phone with the same person from the other day as they were going over some business.
“Very well, so in terms of branding, there are a couple of ideas that I came up. Of course, you’ll want to make sure that children are involved with the schedule, so I’ve made a few calls as well. Traveling issues, of course leave that to me. And then there’s the biggest obstacle, your friends.” said the voice.
“Yeah… that’s… my biggest concern.” spoke Isaac.
“And I understand, from what I saw about you and the girls, they matter. A lot, but... you know this business... I will try my best to make sure that I can fulfill this request.”
“That’s all I ask, and… I am looking forward to working with you.” said Isaac.
“I do too. I’ll keep in touch, but I’ll definitely see you at your graduation.” responded the person as the call ended.
“Well, I’m about 75% done with my life. All that remains is the student’s exams with the Board of Education, then graduation, and then… I cease to exist.” spoke Isaac as he put his head down in a serious mood.
It was now close to the end of Spring Break as Celestia and Luna had returned from their trip they took with the freshman class as they seemed to have enjoyed themselves. While Celestia and Luna seemed pleased that the students had fun, they were even more fun for the music festival that was coming up as it was something they attended when they were younger. Safe to say this music festival that was coming up was something that almost everybody was looking forward to as there would be several famous musicians and bands who would get to perform at this little gathering in the woods. Especially the girls as they were going to perform a couple of their songs at the festival itself, and there would be a couple of duels that would be happening.
So the day came as the gang was in their house as they were preparing to leave for the festival as it was still a long way even by car. Thankfully, Applejack and Isaac had managed to find an old recreational vehicle(RV) as they got it fixed up. The good thing is that there was enough room for all of them to sleep in. So it seemed that everything was set for the little trip that all of them were going to; the only thing now was to get the girls into the trailer and stop video chatting.
A webcam was set up as it came on and soon a video of Rarity was shown on her computer as she was wearing her festival outfit Which had a glam pop look with the fur coat and plenty of sequins to possibly blind someone if they stared too much.
“Some say the best part of a music festival is the music. But to me, it's fashion!” said the fashionista.
“An old pair of cowboy boots will keep you from steppin' in a pile of... uh... fashion emergency.” spoke the country gal as a pig oinked next to her. For Applejack, she had some funky apple-shaped glasses, a bejeweled cowboy hat, and a light white dress with a denim jacket that suited her country style.
“If you've got hang-ups with hangers, look for style right outside your window.” said Fluttershy as she now popped up on the video chat as she grabbed a bird’s nest and put it on her head on top of the flower crown she was wearing an earthy style attire with a bit of light blue on it.
“I believe they're famished for fashion.” said Rarity as the eggs that were in the nest on top of Fluttershy hatched and the baby birds made some noise.
“Well, actually, they do want me to regurgitate worms into their beaks.” said the animal girl as Rarity immediately changed the feed to avoid hearing or seeing any more before she lost her appetite.
“Innovative! Who's next?” asked the girl.
“Make sure you can move whether you're dancing at the festival or after a hat trick.” said Rainbow Dash as she was at the soccer field at school practicing her soccer moves. Of course, naturally she was wearing rainbow colors with some shorts, mini jacket, and a sun visor on top of her head as she made a goal without looking and then did a small kip-up.
“Touchdown!” shouted Rarity.
“Uh, that's not what it's called—” responded Dash before she was cut off.
“Can't go wrong with a classic.” chimed in Sunset as she was in her room listening to some music from her headphones in her festival outfit. For her she was doing a glam punk look as she wore glittery high waist pants, large belt buckle, and her signature leather jacket which worked well since the darker purple and orange complimented her bright red and yellow hair.
“Classic? You mean like... confetti? Confetti everywhere! Hmm. Classic Pinkie Pie.” chimed in Pinkie as she chimed in as she had a party cannon in her room and pulled the string as tons of confetti went off; safe to say Pinkie’s outfit matched her personality with all the different colored layers and was frilly, especially the mismatched stockings she wore.
“Aah!” shouted Rarity as for some weird reason some of Pinkie’s confetti got shot in Rarity’s room as she was not happy.
“Oops! Sorry.”
“You know what's always in style? Personal responsibility. Earplugs for high-decibel situations, a water bottle, flashlight and compass in case you get lost, the other kind of compass in case you need—” said Twilight as she began to go on about her safety measure before she was cut off.
“And there you have it, my loves. At the end of the day, it's always in fashion to be utterly yourselves. See you at the festival!” said Rarity as she and the other girls all popped up on the screen as they waved.
“Hey!” shouted another person as another picture popped up and then joined their call. “What the hell are you guys, doing? We need to leave as soon as possible, but you all are talking about fashion looks!” responded the boy.
“Aw, lighten up Isaac.” said Rainbow.
“We just wanted to show off our festival looks for everyone.” said Fluttershy.
“Yeah, you couldn’t do that when we get there instead of wasting time here making us late.” said their male friend.
“Come on, boy toy. About time you change your outfit for this event. You’ve been wearing the same thing Rarity gave you when you faced me at the Fall Formal.” responded the bacon-haired girl as she put her headphones around her neck.
“Well, it’s my signature look, plus it's awesome as it is.” said Isaac as he showed off his outfit. “Plus, it had sentimental value.”
“Come on, Isaac! Just for once, give us something new.” said Dash as the other girls all nodded.
Isaac just looked at his friends as they all wanted seemed to be for the idea; he then let out a sigh. “Fine, give me a few seconds.” stated the boy as he went offscreen for a few moments as he changed into a different outfit for the festival. He then zoomed back into frame as he showed off his new attire.
“How about this?” asked Isaac.
For Isaac, he returned wearing a red jumpsuit that had a long zipper running through the middle, ending with puffy shorts. He wore a crown-chain on his left side and a loosely worn blue belt. Over his jumpsuit, Isaac was wearing a black hoodie that was blue on the inside, and black on the outside with white sleeves ending in grey edging. He wore white fingerless gloves on his hands with blue, black and yellow straps. He still kept the necklace that Rarity gave him for his birthday around his neck. His shoes are mainly yellow and black with belt-straps holding them closed. The lower portions are grey and end with a small triangular patch of blue. And to top if off, of course Isaac kept the cap that Rainbow gave him on his head.
“I absolutely adore it!” shouted Rarity as she was amazed by Isaac’s new outfit.
“Where did you get these kinds of clothes, city slicker?” asked Applejack as she was pleased.
“Who cares? Not bad, bud.” said Rainbow
“Thanks, now are we ready to leave.” said Isaac.
“Yup!” said the girls.
“Then Rainbow and Applejack, get your asses over here or we’re leaving you both behind,” said Isaac.
“On our way!” said the girls.
With that the video call ended as everybody all started to get the final things they needed. Isaac stepped out of his room and made his way to the living room as the girls were all set. Soon Rainbow and Applejack stepped through the door as they all grabbed their small rectangle devices and strapped them on their wrists as they gathered in a circle.
“Roll call.”
“Beast-type.'' said Fluttershy.
“Predaplant.” responded Applejack.
“Crystal Beast, darlings.” spoke Rarity.
“Red-Eyes.” stated Sunset.
“Toons and Madolche.” added Pinkie.
“U.A. and Speedroids.” commented Rainbow Dash.
“Spellbook.” answered Twilight.
“Magician.” Isaac now lifted his duel disk as did the others as all of them were touching each other.
For them, it was something they did as a pre ritual thing to remind each other that no matter what, they would always have each other’s back and be there for one another in a crisis.
“One for all and all for one!” shouted the group as they all broke from their little huddle and then grabbed both Spike and Tigre.
As they all made their way to the RV as Applejack got in the driver’s seat as Isaac sat in the passenger side as the rest of the gang was inside of the RV as they drove down the road and were on their way towards the festival.
The trip was as long as they thought it was but it was still a decent way out of the town. They had to make some pit stops to allow everybody to stretch their legs and get some fresh air as Applejack kept making sure that the vehicle was okay while Isaac had to pay and pump gas into the vehicle. The roadtrip did allow Isaac to look at his deck as he pulled it out and placed his cards by the window so that his monsters could see the many sights that were passing them by. The sun was setting down as the gang was soon arriving at their destination. They then pulled into the lot as there were several of their classmates as they too had just arrived. Applejack then pulled into a vacant space as she turned the engine off and they all got out.
“Fresh air.” said Isaac as he took a big inhale to fill his lungs.
“Starswirled Music Festival, we have arrived!” shouted Sunset.
“Two days and nights of cool music, hot food, and sleepin' under the stars!”
“To Pinkie and me, this festival is about one thing only.”
“PostCrush!” said both Pinkie and Sunset.
“We know.” chuckled Applejack, “Y'all won't stop talkin' about it.”
“Who, PostCrush? That's only because PostCrush is the craziest, most amazing-est pop duo ever! PostCrush, PostCrush, PostCrush!” said Pinkie. Applejack was just smiling smugly, “Oh. I see your point.”
“After they cancelled their last tour to go on ‘indefinite hiatus’, we thought we'd never see them live.” informed Sunset.
“But we thought wrong! Roll call!”
“Wait, what roll call?!” stated Isaac.
“Kiwi Lollipop…”
“A.K.A. ‘K-Lo’!”
“...is the cool one.” said Sunset.
“While Supernova Zap…”
“A.K.A. ‘Su-Z’!”
“...is the zany one! Not unlike another certain dynamic duo I know.” said Pinkie.
“Yeah, cause we’re definitely not looking at them.” answered Isaac with a sly smile as the other girls just all let out a chuckle.
“All right, less laughin' and more gaffin'. We got an early mornin' tomorrow.” informed Applejack.
“Aj’s right, so let’s all hit the hay.” stated Isaac as all of them turned in for the night.
The morning sun was starting to rise as it was barely coming up from behind the trees. Isaac was asleep on one of the benches of the RV as the girls had all taken to sleeping on the floor and Sunset slept on the other bench inside of the RV. He was slumping against the wall with his cap over his eyes when he was awoken by someone.
“Wake up, city slicker.” said Applejack in a soft tone.
“Huh?” said Isaac. He lifted his cap and saw the girl standing in front of him. “Applejack?” groaned Isaac as he let out a yawn and then looked at his phone to see what time it was. “It’s 5 in the morning.”
“Exactly, the sun's about to be up. Which means we need to be up as well to get breakfast.”
“Can’t you wait like an hour?” groaned Isaac as he rubbed his eyes.
“Maybe, but then I wouldn’t have as much time to have you all to mah self.” said Applejack with a smug smile before planting a kiss on the boy’s cheek. “Now come on.”
“Fine, give me 5 minutes.” stated the boy.
Soon the pair was out of the RV as they prepared to cook and get breakfast ready. It took a while as Applejack had Isaac fetch some wood for a small campfire. As for the girl, she began to use her cooking skills as she used the tiny mini fridge that was installed by Rarity when they got the vehicle. It took a while, but Isaac then returned with a few logs as he set them down and collapsed on the floor.
“Why did you force me to wake up early?” asked Isaac.
“Like I said, ah wanted you to mah self.” stated the girl.
“Great.” said Isaac as he let out a deep exhale and he tried to get air back into his lungs. He then sat on one of the logs around the small campfire as he pulled out his deck and looked at his cards.
“So, everything ready for the students?” asked Applejack as she sat next to her friend.
“More or less, two months. Then whatever happens, happens.”
“The girls and I are doin our best to get the kids ready. Just hope that it'll be enough for you.” said the country gal as she placed her hand on Isaac’s leg.
“You and the others all did your part, and that’s all I could ask for.” said Isaac as he grabbed Aj’s hand and looked at her. “If anything, I should be the one who’s worried. Cause if the kids don’t impress, then it’s all my fault and for wasting all of your time.”
“Sugar, this isn’t a waste of time. Me and the girls enjoy being tutors; we’re all grateful for what you did for the kids and for us.” smiled the girl.
“Thanks,” said Isaac. Soon both him and Aj got a bit closer as their lips made contact as she brought her hand to the boy’s cheek as it lasted for a few seconds. After that they then got to work on making breakfast as the sun was now high in the sky and the girls were slowly starting to wake up.
Sunset was still fast asleep as she let out a couple of snores, soon her alarm went off as a photo of PostCrush was on it as she got excited and leapt out of bed as she changed into her festival outfit. She exited out of the RV as she saw the others, Rarity was with Spike and Tigre as she gave the dog a hat while the cat was wearing a small dress. Twilight, Fluttershy, and Applejack were all sitting on logs as they were eating some pancakes made by the city boy and the country gal. As for Isaac he was busy cleaning up the dishes.
“Starswirled day one! Come and get it!” exclaimed Rainbow with her guitar in her hand.
“Hey!” shouted Sunset as Rainbow had accidentally smacked her in the ass with her instrument as she began to rub her butt.
“Oh! Uh, sorry. I'll be more careful from now on.” said the chromatic girl as she walked off.
“Ah. Not gonna let a little thing like intense pain ruin this perfect day!” said Sunset as she tried to keep a positive outlook.
“So, I says to Big Mac, ‘Get your own chicken coop!’” said Applejack as she told a joke.
Seems the joke had gotten Fluttershy to laugh as she spit out some of her orange juice on the country gal as it got on her outfit.
“Hey!”
“Sorry. That one has animals in it.” explained Fluttershy.
“What do you call a PostCrush fan with three eyes? Pinkie Pie!” said the girl as she started to push Sunset to the festival as they had a plan to stick too.
“Um, I don't get it.”
“It’s because you spell Pinkie Pie with 3 i’s.” said Isaac as he explained the punch line to Fluttershy.
“Ohhh, funny.” giggled the buttercup girl.
“Well, dishes are cleaned. But it looks like there’s someone who might need a change of clothes. Come on, Applejack. I think there should be some towels inside. You girls go on, we’ll catch up.” stated Isaac as he began to help clean up his friend as the girls grabbed both pets as they started to make their way to the festival itself.
It took a while, but Isaac was able to get the juice and the stains out of Aj’s outfit as the country gal was grateful for her friend as she gave him a quick peck. With that they both grabbed their duel disks and decks as they exited the trailer and were heading on the path towards the festival. They arrived as they saw the others all standing in line, it took a while for security to do their thing in making sure that everybody who was entering didn’t have anything dangerous, but soon all of them entered the place as they were given special bracelets that allowed them entry. They were all given some backstage passes that would allow them to go behind the scenes of some of the performers but that was until Day 2. For Isaac, since he was ranked as the champion of CHS, he did get a special privilege of going backstage on Day 1, but it meant that he couldn’t bring his friends along with him should he choose so. Once they all got in, Pinkie and Sunset began to execute their plan.
“Main objective – Get front row for PostCrush. Mission procedure – we cut around the neon garden to the main stage and rush the front during Pon Iver's set. We can camp there until showtime.” said Sunset as she told Pinkie her plan as the girl just nodded.
“Welp, y'all have fun seein' PostCrush. We'll see ya back at camp tonight.” stated Aj as apart from Pinkie and Sunset, everybody began to split off and explore the festival.
“Wow! These food trucks have such clever gimmicks! ‘Weak in the Cheese’, ‘Avocados Constant’, ‘Money for Waffles, and Chicken's Not for Free Either’...” said Twilight as she was reading her brochure.
“‘Lasagna Pop’?” read Fluttershy.
“Okay, most have clever names. It's like they stopped trying after ‘Bye Focaccia’.” said the girls as they happened to watch someone eating the weird named food in front of them as they had interesting looks.
“Now I've seen everything.” said the shy girl.
“Look I know the whole point for marketing and trying to come up with a catchy name to make sales, but come on. At least put some effort into naming your product.” stated Isaac.
“Exactly what I was thinking.” smiled Twilight as she looked at her boyfriend.
“Where's Lasagna Pop?! Where's Lasagna—?! Whoa!” said Spike as he ran into another dog when he wasn’t looking at he was sent tumbling onto his back. The dog he ran into was messy as it let out a sound.
“Awww. Are you lost, little girl?” asked Fluttershy as the dog just let out another frightened sound. “She needs our help!”
“And perhaps a bath.” stated Rarity as she looked at the dog as it was covered in mud.
“Meow.” agreed Tigre as she was in Isaac’s arms as he petted his cat.
“Come on, little one. We'll help you.” said Fluttershy as she bent down to the dog’s level and offered her hand. The dog looked at the girl for a moment and then at the other humans until it started to walk in the direction of a certain mutt.
“She's coming over! Like, to me! What should I do?! Uh... what should I say?” said Spike as he was a bit nervous at seeing the female dog approach him as both Rarity and Twilight had smug expressions on their faces. “Oh, I know!” stated the dog as he cleared his throat and fixed his hat, “'Sup?”
“Ooh, Spike's got a crush!” said Rarity in a singsong-like voice.
“What? No, I don't! I'm... I'm just happy to help!” said the dog as he let out a nervous laugh as the pup was now face to face with her. “Hi. I'm Spike. Nice to feet you. I-I mean, meet you! That wasn't weird.”
“Bark!” was all the dog said as she and Spike began to walk away while the others all just had smug smiles on their faces, even Tigre.
So for a while Spike and the lost dog began to bond, Twilight tossed a stick to play fetch with Spike as he caught it in his mouth as the purple, fluffy dog was impressed by what she saw. Soon both chased a squirrel up a tree and began to furiously bark at it as Spike looked at the dog and it seemed she was slowly capturing his heart. They then both rolled around in a patch of flowers as both sat up and the dog had a tiny flower in her nose as it caused her to let out a sneeze in Spike’s face as he was covered in petals and dog snot. The dog just smiled sheepishly as Spike didn’t care he was covered as he let out a smile. Twilight then did another game of fetch as this time it was the lost dog to catch the stick as Spike was fascinated by how she caught it perfectly and with grace as she landed with it in her mouth and gave the boy dog a wink as he turned red.
There were now all at a table as Isaac and Twilight were sharing a bowl of ramen as she was blowing on it to cool it off. Fluttershy was next to the pair as she happily munched on her ramen, while Rarity was taking pictures and posting it online. At the end of the table was Spike and the female dog as they too were sharing a bowl of ramen as they took a bite of a noodle and found it was the same one as they got closer and closer and closer until…
“Princess!” said a girl as she yanked the female dog as it caused Spike to spit out the ramen. The girl had pale yellow skin, brilliant cobalt blue eyes, and her hair was very light blue violet with very pale cyan and light brilliant magenta highlights.
“I was looking for you everywhere, little girl!” said the gal as she hugged her dog.
“Aw, man. I mean, thank goodness. We've been looking everywhere for you.” said Spike.
“We have?” stated Rarity.
“Uh, we have?” said Fluttershy as even she didn’t believe that.
“Yeah, right!” shouted Isaac. He then looked at the girl standing in front of them as there was something familiar about her. “Hang on…” Isaac then pulled out his phone as he was looking up something, he then looked at Twilight’s brochure as he saw the same picture of the girl on the front fab when it was all folded up.
“Don’t tell, are you… Supernova Zap, A.K.A. Su-Z?” asked Isaac.
“I am, and this is my dog, Princess Thunder Guts.” said the girl.
“Princess Thunder Guts?!” said Isaac and the girls in unison as they were surprised that was the dog’s name.
“Oh, I’m so glad you found her. I hope it wasn't a problem.” said the popstar.
“Not at all. Right, Spike?” asked Twilight with a sly smile.
“Happy to help…” said the mutt with some sadness in his voice.
“Well, hope to see you all for tonight’s performance. Thanks once again for finding my dog.” said the pop star as she thanked the group. “Come on, Princess.” instructed Su-Z as Princess Thunder Guts followed her. She started to walk, but not before noticing how Spike was as she walked back to the mutt and gave him a kiss on the cheek as her way of saying thanks for a great time as she soon followed her owner back to their backstage area.
“Oh, yeah. He's just ‘happy to help’.” said the fashionista as Spike was left in a trance with some red on his face as all four of them let out a chuckle.
“Meow, meow.” said Tigre as she appeared next to her animal buddy and patted him on the back as she tried to comfort him from his heartbreak and inform the dog that there were plenty of other fish in the sea.
“And so ends another tale of two lovers from ‘different worlds’. They always end as fast as they start.” said Isaac as the girls rolled their eyes at their friend’s way of expressing the situation that just occurred.
After a while, the group broke up a bit as Rarity, Fluttershy, and the two pets all went on their way as it allowed Twilight and Isaac sometime for themselves. So the pair began to head out on their own as they prepared to see what the festival had to offer.
"So what's first, taking part in an art show? Winning a tandem-bike? No way, A Hayburger stand!" said Twilight as she was excited about that last part.
"No, no, no, no, no, no." said Isaac as he swiped the brochure from his girlfriend. "Remember."
"I haven't had a Hayburger in one week, that's a new record for my diet on cutting back on it." stated Twilight with a pouting face.
"Yeah, cause that one time you snuck in a burger when you thought I wasn't looking counts." said Isaac with a smug smile.
"That doesn't count." pouted Twilight even more as she crossed her arms. "Besides, I don't gain any weight when I eat it."
"Yeah, but you make me waste tons of money." replied Isaac as that was the point he was trying to prove.
"You're no fun."
"Hey, I'm tons of fun. I just want us to try something new other than you pigging out. Which I will admit, is kinda cute of you." smiled Isaac. "Now let's see. What the... algorithmically-generated festival schedule?" Isaac raised an eyebrow at his girlfriend.
"I wanted to plan out my path to see all the bands." said Twilight as she smiled sheepishly.
"Really?" said Isaac in a blunt tone.
"Shut up!" pouted Twilight.
"How about not once having a plan and just going with the flow?" suggested Isaac.
"You're insane!" said the girl as she grabbed her boyfriend by his arms. "Don't you understand, without a plan, you can't prepare. And if you can't prepare, you don't know what to expect, and if you don't know what to expect, then my whole life is just random." shouted Twilight as Isaac looked at her as he was thinking she was going mental.
"Twilight! Calm down!" said Isaac as he got his girlfriend to stop shaking him. "I always say it's nice to have a plan when you duel, but sometimes there are points where you just wing it and let the duel play out. The same logic works for life, so how about we just put the brochure away and just pick an activity at random." suggested Isaac.
"But... my plan." said the girl putting the puppy dog eyes.
"I'll buy you a Hayburger later."
"Fine." said Twilight as she agreed to that decision.
"Good." said the boy as he folded up the brochure and put it in his pocket. "So, which one do we choose?" said Isaac as he and Twilight were thinking of which booth to go to. Soon they approached a booth as they were surprised to say the least at who they bumped into.
"Principal Celestia?" said Twilight.
"Twilight Sparkle! Isaac! How wonderful!" said the older woman as she was glad to see her two students.
"I didn't know you... did things." stated the bookworm.
"Really, Twi?" said Isaac as he looked at his girlfriend. "Isn't that the generic response you say about a teacher? Whether you're in school and see them out of school, or it's been years and you randomly run into them at a grocery store." informed the boy.
"Yes, well thank you for that... explanation, Isaac." said the older women as she too was dressed in a different outfit then normal as he was eating some sushi rolls. "And it's not just me. The whole Starswirl Squad's here, too." said Celestia and Luna and Cranky Doodle also appeared next to her.
"Okay, didn't expect Luna and Celestia to be this big of a fan of the festival." said Isaac.
"There's a lot of things you don't know about us, Isaac." said Luna with a smug smile. "Just because you retried us, doesn't mean we don't have secrets in our private lives. Besides, we may be the old generation, but there are somethings that we don't tell the newer generation." stated the nighttime girl as she looked at the boy.
"Touché." replied the boy.
"We're original 'Starswirlers'. Been coming together since the fest started back in... When was it?" asked Celestia to which Cranky just told her not to answer that.
"Okay, come on, fess up. How old were you?" asked Isaac as he wanted to know the answer.
"Regardless, Mr. Cranky Doodle loves his electropop under the stars. That and the secret falafel booth." said Celestia.
"There's a secret falafel booth?!" said both Isaac and Twilight.
"Stick with me. We're old-school."
"Very old school." said Isaac as it got him a death glare from both women.
"A paper schedule?" said Twilight.
"From the O.G. rainforest. I'm only teasing. I don't know where it's from." said Celestia as she tried to use some modern slang to sound cool.
"Please, don't do that." said Isaac as he cringed a bit from his principal trying to be hip while Twilight had a stunned look on her face.
So the trio of older adults then began to lead the two teens as they showed them the secrets they kept hidden. They led the teens to the secret falafel booth. After that was taking some photos in a photo booth as they began to make some faces as they too were having fun with the adults. Though they did have both teens take a photo together as one of the shots captured them in a kiss as it got the three of them to laugh at the image of the two teens. They then saw Cranky Doodle show off his breakdance moves as it really got the two teens to be in shock, especially cause both sisters were both beatboxing as that literally broke Twilight's mind. Though they did have to help him since he got stuck doing some of his moves. Seems Cranky also had a competitive side from when he was younger as he called out Isaac to try to out due him. Isaac just raised an eyebrow as he looked at Twilight to which she just shrugged her shoulders as he then turned his cap backwards as well and started to show off his moves he learned from the streets of Chicoltgo.
Seems Luna even challenged her student to a quick rap battle a Celestia continued with the beatbox as both individuals looked at each other as they began to free style.
"Yo, en Español, Ingles, from 'A' to zeta; your grandmother would hit you with the el chancleta. Oh, it hits me in the head till my hips hop, but I got smacked in the back with some flip flops. Oh, yeah, you know that I be jammin'; you know I keep it smooth like I got that seared salmon. Or is it smoked? I don't really know, I'm just freestylin' against Luna, but perhaps I should tone it down cause her time has gone past and my time is now. But I guarantee I'm knock 'em on they asses, I hit you with the BluBlockers. Prescription sunglasses." said Isaac as he finished his freestyle.
Luna just tried her hair in a bun as Celestia kept the beatbox up as she looked at Isaac dead in the eye as he began to rhyme.
"Hey, yo. I'm still the answer, Mansa Musa. I'm just absorbin' it all in, loofah. Still I never let a scrub get the last word, on my watch like a Netflix password." said Luna as she said that line while pointing at Isaac. "As far as the bar is just rigorous, makin' other rappers run like faras. Till y'all learn who the realest barbarian, I burn y'all, Daenerys Targaryen."
While the others let out some 'oohs' sounds, Isaac immediately went into another rap after Luna finished hers.
"Microphone check, what is this? I came here expecting that I should be on my guard and that I should dress to impress, but really all I got was some wack and phony rhymes, looks like all I needed to say was 'Well excuse me, princess'. I fly my rainbow colors like Celestia's hair business. Yes, I got some much love to give and I look at the colors wave around it's like ROY GIB V. Ah, started from the bottom now we here like my man, Drake. I'm flattening it, flours, eggs, like a pancake. Ah yeah, I bring any style you got. Just like you both found out first hand when I retired both your asses. I'm a superstar there's no doubt, I slam dunk like Michael Jordan with his tongue out!" said Isaac as he dropped the mic and Luna just smiled as that was it.
"Wordlife." said Isaac. "Basic Thuganomics."
"Well, sister." said Celestia as she had a smug smile on her face for trying to take on Isaac in a freestyle rap battle given the kid grew up on the streets.
"Fair play to the boy." said Luna as Twilight was hugging Isaac tightly for his rapping skills.
After that they all then sat up on a hilltop as they were watching the crowd get ready for the show that was about to start very soon as the sun was slowly starting to set. The two teens sat next to each other as they were in between Luna and Celestia.
"Thanks for teaching me so much today." said Twilight.
"Ahem." said Isaac as he cleared his throat.
"Alright, you were right." said the girl as she looked at Isaac and gave him a kiss on his cheek as the two older girls just smiled at the cute interactions between Isaac and Twilight.
"I should have you send me letters after every music festival telling me what you learned, hmm?" stated Principal Celestia.
"Uh..."
"Huh?" added Isaac.
"Just kidding." joked Celestia, "That would get old."
"I could text you." suggested Twilight.
"Hm. Let's just forget it." laughed Celestia as it got all four of them to laugh.
Isaac then received a message on his phone as it was from Pinkie saying that the show was about to start.
"We better get going, Twi." said Isaac as he did a small kip-up. "Pinkie said the show's about to start."
"Right, let's hurry." said the girl as she began to raced down the hill.
"Isaac!" called out Celestia as she got the boy to stop in his tracks as he was about to raced down the hill. "Two months."
"Two months." said Luna also as both women had a serious look on their faces.
"Two months." said both women in unison.
"I understand." said Isaac with the most serious look on his face as he then started to run down the hill to see the show.
The couple made it time as they found Pinkie as she was getting some churros for Sunset who had managed to secure their spots in the front as both had staked all day and secured.
"Mmmmm, Puffed Pastry's exclusive star-crusted, cinnamon-dipped churros!" said Pinkie as she was mouth watering over some.
"It's pronounced choor-raws." said Isaac with enunciation. "Repeat after me, sis. Choor-raws!"
"Yeesh, didn't expect you to get so defensive." said Twilight.
"Hey, I grew up on these things." said Isaac as he reminded his girlfriend of his Hispanic background. "So you best believe I've had to listen people butcher saying the name. Trust me, it means a lot to me." Isaac then grabbed one as he reminded of his childhood as he was taken back to when he was just a young lad. He then offered one to Twilight as she tasted the sweet treat and now she knew why Isaac loved these things.
And so the rest of the night, went as planned as PostCrush came up on stage as they began to perform their song as both Pinkie and Sunset were jamming out and soon they were selected by the due as they got on stage and perform with them as all of their friends were in the crowd watching the duo have the time of their life and live out a dream come true. And so the concert went well into the night as soon it was late as everybody all made it back to their tents while the entire gang all went to their RV as they were all exhausted.
The next day came up as this time, Applejack gave Isaac a bit more time to sleep in as she too was tired from the previous night from all the partying. Soon all of them got some breakfast as it filled up their energies, especially cause not only was it Day 2 of the music festival, but that the main attraction was that Isaac was going to be partaking in an exhibition duel, but his opponent was going to be determined in a small tournament that was going to take place between their classmates and the girls as they all wanted to take on the boy. So for most of the day, all the students and the people attending the festival as guests or performers all created a huge circle as they watched the duels unfold. And so it went as all the competitors were pushing themselves as they wanted a chance to take on the champion.
"Alright, ladies and gentleman. The next duel is about to start." said a Dj as the next two duelists got on the field.
"Good luck, Twilight."
"You two, Sunset."
Both girls then took out their decks and slotted it into their duel disk as the autoshuffler kicked in and each of them projected a card tray as Twilight had a purple light, while Sunset had a red light.
"Opponent detected. Streaming data. Duel mode set. Initiating. Commencing duel." said their duel disks.

Turn 1: Twilight
"I'll go first," said Twilight as she drew her card, "I'll play Spellbook of the Library Crescent. Since I have no 'Spellbook' in my graveyard, I can select three from my deck and you choose one of them to add to my hand. So I reveal my Spellbook of Divinity, Spellbook of Wisdom, and Spellbook of Penetration." said the girl as all of her cards appeared for all to see as they all flipped over.
"I guess, I choose... the card in the middle." said Sunset as she pointed at her choice.
"Very well." said the girl as she grabbed her card and placed the other two on top of her deck as the autoshuffler kicked in. "Now I'll play Graceful Charity so that I can draw 3 cards and then discard two." Twilight then selected which ones she wanted to get rid of as one of the cards she sent away was her Spellbook of Divinity which was the card that Sunset added to her hand. "Now since my Spellbook of Divinity was sent to the graveyard, I can now take one card from my deck and remove it from play for 3 turns, but after 3 turns, it then activates, and if it's a monster then it's summoned to the field." Twilight knew which card she wanted as she wasted no time in making her choice.
"Now I'll summon Gold Gadget(1700/1000) and like every good gadget, they come with cool functions. So now I can also summon Yellow Gadget(1200/1200) in defense mode. Then since I summoned Yellow Gadget, I can then move Green Gadget from my deck to my hand." Twilight's duel disk then slotted out her card as she grabbed it and added it to her hand.
"Then I'll place one card facedown and end my turn."
Turn 2: Sunset
"My turn." said Sunset as she drew her card. "And I'll start by playing my Black Stone of Legend(0/0). Then I'll activate its ability so that I can tribute it to summon a Level 7 or lower 'Red-Eyes' monster from my deck. So I choose to bring out my Red-Eyes Archfiend Lightning(2500/1200)." Sunset's stone then cracked as bits of light were coming from it as soon out emerged a huge fiend monster as it had lightning surrounding it as it landed with the sound of thunder.
"Now I activate my monster's effect, so now I destroy all of your face-up monsters on your side of the field that have defense points that are lower than my monster's attack points." said Sunset as her monster struck the ground in front of it as soon thunderbolts came crashing down on Twilight's field as her gadget monsters were short circuiting out and exploded.
"Now my Gold Gadget's effect activates, since it was destroyed, I can replace it with another 'Gadget' monster from my deck, so I choose my Silver Gadget(1500/1000). And when Silver Gadget is summoned, I can also summon another machine to join the ranks, so my Green Gadget(1400/600) is also on the field. And when Green Gadget is summoned, I can then move 'Red Gadget' from my deck to my hand." said Twilight as she quickly replaced her field with two new monsters as she added the last of her gadget monsters to her hand.
"Impressive." said Sunset as she showed praise to her friend for not panicking and instead turning her negative situation into a positive. "Either way, now Archfiend take out her Silver Gadget!" shouted Sunset as her monster took out Twilight's silver monster as it was destroyed.
"Now Silver Gadget's effect activates, like Gold Gadget, I can replace it with another 'Gadget' monster from my deck."
"But you don't have another Gadget monster, you only have those five." said Sunset as she and their friends watching were confused.
"Then what's this, I bring out Ancient Gear Gadget(500/2000)!" said Twilight as she did have a sixth gadget monster in her deck.
"Ancient Gear Gadget?" said Isaac as he was the most surprised to see Twilight using that monster.
"And now Ancient Gear Gadget's special ability activates when it's summoned. Now I choose between monster, spell, and trap, and whatever one I pick means you can't activate any of those till the end of the Damage Step. And I'm going to say spell card." said Twilight.
"Fine then, I'll end my turn with a facedown."
Turn 3: Twilight
"My draw, and now I summon Red Gadget(1300/1500) to the field. Then I reveal my facedown, Metalhold the Moving Blockade!" shouted Twilight as her facedown flipped up and out emerged a huge machine as it had cannons on its shoulders and then had the smaller gadget monsters jumped into its sockets as they powered up the machine.
"This trap then transform into a monster that has the combined attack points of the monsters that I equip it to. So since I equipped all of my three gadget monsters, my Metalhold now has 3200 attack points." said Twilight as she had her robot power up. "Now time to attack, Metalhold load and fire your cannons!" shouted the lavender girl as her machine then pointed its cannons at Sunset's monster as it powered up and unleashed a powerful blast as it took out her monster with ease.
Sunset's Life Points: 7300-
"Now I'll play Spellbook of Secrets so that I can add a 'Spellbook' to my hand." Twilight then used her duel disk as she selected which spell she wanted. "I'll then end my turn with a facedown."
Turn 4: Sunset
"My turn, and now I activate the effect of my Black Stone of Legend, so now I can..."
"Activate facedown!" said Twilight as her set card flipped up. "Spellbook of Banishment. So now, I can banish one card from either player's deck and then if the card was a monster-type that person gets to draw a card. So I choose to banish your Black Stone of Legend."
"Grr." said the bacon-haired girl as she couldn't do her usual play style. She then had to move her monster card into the banish compartment of her duel disk as she drew a card from her deck. "In that case, I'll summon Red-Eyes Baby Dragon(1200/700) in defense mode. With that, I'll then place another card facedown."
Turn 5: Twilight
"My draw, and now I summon Magician's Valkyria(1600/1800) in attack mode. And as long she remains on the field, you can't get to my other spellcasters, without going through her first. So take out her baby dragon!" said Twilight as she commanded her magician as she raised her staff and took out Sunset's monster.
"Now my monster's effect activates, so now since it was destroyed I can now summon one Level 7 or lower Red-Eyes monster to replace it and then I can equip my dragon to give it 300 more attack. So rise up, Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon(2400/2000) in defense mode." said Sunset as she quickly replaced her monster with a new one.
"Then I'll just take that one out as well." stated Twilight as her Metalhold then fired its cannons once more taking out her monster.
"Now my Red-Eyes Baby Dragon's other effect activates, so now since it was destroyed while attached to another monster, I can then add one Level 1 dragon from my deck or graveyard to my hand." stated Sunset as she then used her duel disk screen to select the card she wanted as she added it to her hand. "Then I reveal my facedown, Red-Eyes Spirit. So now I can bring back my Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon!" said the girl as she managed to bring her dragon back once more.
"I guess I'll just end my turn."
Turn 6: Sunset
"Then it's my draw, and now I'll banish my Red-Eyes Black Flare Dragon so that I can summon this Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon(2800/2400)!" Out emerged a dragon as it had its entire body covered in metal armor as it landed with a thud and let out a screech. "And now I activate my Black Metal Dragon's effect from my hand, so now I can attach it to my new monster and then I can give it 600 more attack points making it stronger than your Metalhold." said Sunset as her smaller dragon then latched onto its comrade as it let out a roar with its stats rising up to 3400. "Then I reveal my other facedown, Red-Eyes Fang with Chain. Thanks to this my monster can now attack 2 targets this round. So now my dragon take out her two monsters!" shouted Sunset as her dragon obeyed the command of its mistress as she opened its mouth and fired a fireball as Twilight's monsters were destroyed.
Twilight's Life Points: 6000-
"Then I activate the effect of my Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, once per turn, I can summon a dragon type monster from my hand or graveyard. So rise up once more, my precious baby." said Sunset as her baby dragon appeared in defense mode as it snuggled close to her chest as it let out a purr at its mother before taking its position.
"With that I end my turn."
Turn 7: Twilight
"My turn, and now 3 turns have passed since I activated the effect of my Spellbook of Divinity. So that means the card I removed is now in play, so rise up... Dark Red Enchanter(1700/2200)!!" shouted Twilight as out came a magician as it wore a red outfit and wielded a staff as it pointed it at Sunset.
"That monster again." said Isaac as he remembered that the first time Twilight played that magician was during the Fall Formal tournament against Shadow. He recalled how Twilight said it was this monster that she relied on long before she assembled her Spellbook deck and acquired her High Priestess of Prophecy. It also meant that when Twilight was serious, she would call on that monster for help.
"My Dark Red Enchanter's special ability allows him to gain a spell counter whenever a spell is activated then my monster gains a counter and 300 extra attack points. So I now play the field spell, The Grand Spellbook Tower. I then summon my Spellbook Magician of Prophecy(500/400) in defense mode." Twilight now summoned a kid magician as he had a book in his hand as he was thinking. "Now since he was summoned, I can now add a 'Spellbook' from my deck to my hand. And then I'll play the card I just got, Spellbook of Penetration. So now I can give one of my monsters the power to deal piercing damage this turn. And since I played a spell card, my Dark Red Enchanter gains a counter from both my field spell and my spellbook meaning it gains 600 points as it now has 2300 attack points. Dark Red Enchanter take out her Red-Eyes Baby Dragon!" shouted Twilight as her magician raised his staff and fired a spell as it took out Sunset's monster and dealt her some damage.
Sunset's Life Points: 5700-
"Now my monster's effect activates so now I can special summon one 'Red-Eyes' monster from my deck, so I choose my Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon(2400/2000) and it gains 300 more attack points." said the girl as she had a brand new monster rise up.
"I'll then lay two cards facedown and end my turn."
Turn 8: Sunset
"My turn, and now I'll have my Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon attack your Dark Red Enchanter!" said Sunset as her monster opened its mouth and let out a growl.
"I reveal my facedown, Spellbook of Fate! Now I can banish up to 3 'Spellbook' cards in my graveyard, to activate this card's power. So I'll banish my Spellbook of Divinity, Spellbook of Penetration and Spellbook of Banishment so that I can activate my card's third effect. Since I got rid of three 'Spellbooks', I can now banish a card that you control. So say goodbye to your Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon!" said Twilight as her card worked its magic.
"Oh no." said Sunset as she saw her dragon was now gone.
"And since that was another spell card played, that means my Dark Red Enchanter gains another spell counter and 300 more attack points." said Twilight as her magician got even stronger.
"True, but it's still weaker than my dragon. So take out her monster." called out Sunset.
"Now I reveal my Spellbook of Denial!" said Twilight as her other facedown flipped up. "So now your attack is canceled out. However, it was a trap card so my Dark Red Enchanter doesn't get any extra points."
"I'll just lay one card facedown and end my turn."
Turn 9: Twilight
"My turn, and now I activate the effect of my field spell, since I control a spellcaster, I can return one 'Spellbook' from my graveyard and place it on the bottom of my deck to draw another card." said Twilight as she took her Spellbook of Fate and placed it on the bottom of her card as she drew two cards. "Now I'll play one of the card that I drew, my Spellbook Organization which allows me to look at the top 3 cards of my deck and put them in any order I choose." Twilight then looked at her duel disk screen as it showed the girl her options. She then used her finger as she selected the order she wanted to draw them.
"Now I play Pot of Greed to draw two cards and that means another spell counter for my Dark Red Enchanter. Then I'll summon my Temperance of Prophecy(1000/1000)." Out emerged a hooded figure as she wielded some cups as they had some smoke coming out of them. "Now the effect of my monster activates, so since I activated a Spellbook before I summoned my Temperance, I can now tribute it to summon a Level 5 or higher Light/Dark Spellcaster type monster from my deck." Temperance of Prophecy's cup were now starting to glow as even more smoke was coming from her cups as they overflowed and then surrounded the monster as it started to create a veil of smoke as it slowly covered the magician.
"So now I summon my partner, High Priestess of Prophecy(2500/2100)!!!" shouted Twilight as she summoned her star monster of her deck as a female magician appeared as she had pretty red hair, wore revealing outfit as she was in a seductive pose upon being summoned as she had a book in her lap with her legs crossed.
"I'll admit, Twilight's Priestess is rather hot." said Isaac as he was watching the duel from the stage.
"Lady Priestess does conduct herself in a rather elegant manner." said Mahad as he appeared next to his master.
"Maybe you should ask her out, Mahad. She seems like your kind of women, maybe she can get you to stop being so serious and show you what it means to have fun." teased Mana.
"Mana, be mature. I have an undying loyalty to my duty in protecting the master; which means I don't have time to pursue any forms of relationship. Besides, Lady Priestess is rather attractive women who I believe will do fine without the need to rely on anyone." said Mahad with his usual seriousness as all three of them looked back at the battle with the girls.
"Now since a spell card was activated that means another spell counter for my Dark Red Enchanter, so now he's at 5 which means he now has 3200 attack points." stated Twilight.
"Now Dark Red Enchanter attack her Red-Eyes Alternative Black Dragon!" said Twilight as her monster raised his staff and pointed it at the dragon as it took it out.
Sunset's Life Points: 4900-
"Now I reveal my facedown, another Red-Eyes Spirit so now I can target a 'Red-Eyes' monster in my graveyard and then summon it to my field. So return, Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning!" said Sunset as she now had her giant fiend back on her field.
"Hmm. I end my turn with a facedown."
Turn 10: Sunset
"My turn, and I'll play Red-Eyes Insight so now I send my Red-Eyes B. Chick from my deck to the graveyard so that I can add a 'Red-Eyes' spell or trap card to my hand." Sunset then sent her monster to the graveyard as she used her duel screen to select the card she wanted as it ejected and she looked at it for a second. "Here we go, I now play the card I got, Red-Eyes Fusion. So now I can use monsters in my deck to conduct a fusion summon. I fuse together my Summoned Skull and my Red-Eyes Black Dragon!" Sunset's two monsters then appeared behind their mistress as a vortex appeared behind them as it was filled with orange and purple colors as the two were sucked in. "I Fusion Summon, Archfiend Black Skull Dragon(3200/2500)!!" Sunset's new monster appeared as it landed with a thud.
"Now I activate the ability of my Archfiend of Lightning, so now all of your monsters that have lower defense points than my monster's attack points. So now both of your monsters are going to be destroyed."
"Now quite, I reveal my facedown, Spellbook of Immortality! So now this allows me to grant a spellcaster protection from special abilities." said Twilight.
"True, but you only get to protect one of them." stated Sunset. "Who which one do you choose to save?"
Sunset's question got Twilight to look at her field as she realized her dilemma. On one hand, she had a choice to make on which monster she should choose to save. The problem was these two were the ones she cared about the most, her Dark Red Enchanter had been the first card she used as it got her victories in her early stages of her life. And then her High Priestess was the one she had relied on the most when she assembled her Spellbook deck as she often resembled the lavender girl. Twilight was at a difficult crossroad as her spell could only save one of them and the other would be destroyed.
"Twilight's unsure of what to do." said Isaac as he looked at the face of his girlfriend as he saw her struggling. I can't blame her, if I was tasked with picking either Mahad or Mana in this same situation, I don't which one I'd choose.
"Well, Twilight. What's your decision so we can continue the duel." stated Sunset.
"I... I..."
Twilight didn't know what to say as she didn't want to lose either of her monster. She just put her head down for a bit when she brought it back up and saw both of her monsters looking at their master. High Priestess of Prophecy saw the dilemma her master was tasked with as she put on a smile.
"Are you sure?" asked Twilight to which her magician nodded. "Alright, thank you, Priestess." said the bookworm. Twilight's monster nodded as she relayed a message to Dark Red Enchanter to make sure to help their mistress win to which he nodded. High Priestess of Prophecy then opened her book as she casted a spell that protected Twilight and her comrade from the blast of Sunset's monster as she took one for the team.
"Nice play, I'll end my turn." said Sunset.
Turn 11: Twilight
"My draw!" said the girl. "And now I'll play Spellbook of Power to give my Dark Red Enchanter 1000 extra points for this turn and since that's another spell, it gains another counter and 300 more attack." said Twilight as her monster was currently at 4500 attack points. "Now Dark Red Enchanter attack Sunset's archfiend!" shouted the girl as her monster took out its target.
Sunset's Life Points: 2600-
"Now the other effect of my Spellbook of Power allows me to add a 'Spellbook' from my deck to my hand." Twilight then looked at her options carefully as she was trying to figure out which spell she wanted as soon it ejected for her to grab.
"I'll then place one card facedown and end my turn."
Turn 12: Sunset
"My turn, and now I'll play Cards of the Red Stone, so now I'll my Red-Eyes Toon Dragon from my hand and one from my deck so that I can draw two cards." Sunset then sent both of her selected cards to the graveyard as she then placed her hand on her deck as she let out a deep breath as she drew. "I now play Monster Reborn so that I can bring back my Red-Eyes Black Dragon. Then I'll tribute my beloved Red-Eyes so that I can summon my Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon(2400/2000)!!" Sunset's dragon appeared for a second as soon it began to transform as it became darker and it had red marks on its body as it let out a roar.
"Now the effect of my Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon's ability means it gains 300 attack points for every dragon in my graveyard, and currently in my graveyard I have 8 in my graveyard so that means my dragon gains 2400 more attack points for a total of 4800." said Sunset as her dragon let out a roar.
"Now Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon attack her Dark Red Enchanter!" shouted Sunset as her monster opened its mouth and then fired a huge fireball at it collided with Twilight's magician as it was destroyed.
Twilight's Life Points: 4700-
"Now time to end this duel, Archfiend Black Skull Dragon attack Twilight directly!" shouted Sunset as she looked to end this duel.
"I reveal my facedown, Library Almanac!" said Twilight as her card flipped up and a book appeared. It then opened up as the numbers 1-10 appeared as they each had a different section of the book.
"What's this?" asked Sunset.
"First off, this card triggers whenever you declare an attack. Then my almanac randomly selects a number and whatever number it lands on determines what effect activates. Number 1, I draw a card; Number 2, I get to bring a monster from my graveyard; Number 3, I can activate a spell card from my graveyard; Number 4, I get to activate a trap card; Number 5, I get to add a card from my deck to my hand; Number 6, I banish a card from my hand; Number 7, I can take control of one of your monsters; Number 8, I have to discard my entire hand and then have to redraw till I have 6 cards; Number 9, I choose a monster to summon, but I can't play it for two turns; and Number 10, I get to perform an Xyz summon during battle." said Twilight as she finished telling the effects of her card.
"This I got to see." said Sunset as she wanted to see Twilight's book work its magic.
"Hope this helps." said Twilight as her book opened up and then began to flip through the different sections really fast as it waited for Twilight's command. A few seconds passed before, "S-Stop." shouted the nerdy girl as she closed her eyes to avoid seeing the result. The almanac stopped on the section when Twilight called out as the girl opened her eyes and smiled.
"My Almanac landed on the 2nd section of my book, so that means I can bring back a monster. So I choose my High Priestess of Prophecy!" said the girl as she had her partner appear.
"Not bad, but your monster is still getting destroyed." said Sunset as her monster pressed up and took out Twilight's monster. "Now the effect of my Archfiend Black Skull Dragon, so now I can deal you damage equal to my Red-Eyes Black Dragon's attack points." said the girl as the spirits of her dragon appeared and shot towards Twilight as she lost some points.
Twilight's Life Points: 2300-
"Now I can shuffle my Red-Eyes B. Dragon back into my deck." said Sunset as she placed her card back on top of her deck as the autoshuffler kicked in. "I now end my turn."
Turn 13: Twilight
"My turn," said Twilight as she drew her card. "You're an amazing duelist, Sunset."
"You as well, Twilight." smiled the girl as her friend returned the gesture. "I've only had to push myself whenever I face Isaac, but you're a very close second."
"I appreciate the compliment. So you ready?"
"Yeah, give me whatever you've got."
"Alright then." Twilight then looked at Isaac, at that moment both had the same look they had during the Fall Formal. No smiles, no happiness, nothing but a stare, almost as if they were waiting for something.
"Now I'll play Spellbook of Greed so that I banish three random cards from my graveyard so that I can draw three cards. Now I play this, Spellbook of Harmony." Twilight's card then began to shine with a rainbow glow as swirls of magic now circled the entire field. "So now I pay half of my life points so that I can destroy every card on the field!"
Twilight's Life Points: 1150-
"Oh no." said Sunset as she realized what that meant.
Soon all colors of the rainbow appeared as they all combined into one huge rainbow blast as they shot towards Sunset and circled around her and her monsters as they let out a cry as soon the rainbow lasers were gone and there was nothing left on the field.
"Now I play Monster Reborn so that I can bring back my High Priestess of Prophecy!" Twilight now had her partner back as for a second she gave her mistress a high five. "Now I'll play my Spellbook of Mimic. With this, I can be able to copy the effect of any 'Spellbook' either from my graveyard or in my deck. So now I'll use my Spellbook of Mimic so that I can copy the effect of my Spellbook of Power to give my Priestess an extra 1000 attack points which is just enough to end this. Now Priestess, finish this duel!" shouted Twilight as her monster opened her spellbook and fired off her most powerful spell as she aimed it at Sunset who put her duel disk up as she took the attack.
Sunset's Life Points: 0-
Winner: Twilight
"And so the winner of this duel is Twilight Sparkle." said the announcer.
"Great job, Twilight." said Sunset as she shook her friend's hand.
"Thanks, no wonder you're close second to Isaac." responded Twilight.
"The boy toy really does make things interesting. Speaking of which, don't worry, I'll watch over him as you progress in this tournament. I'm sure he won't get too lonely with our hands-on experience." said Sunset with a sly smile.
"Sunset!! Keep your hands off of Isaac!!" said the girl as she began to chase after her friend as she wanted to strangle her for saying that.
Isaac just watched the duel end as he saw the two girls chasing after each other. While he did smile, he quickly went back to thinking on the look both he and Twilight had. Something in his gut was telling him that Twilight was thinking the same thing as he was. And that meant it was only a matter of time till it happened.

Amazing chapter bro. It was packed full of fun moments and the duel was so damn cool!
It was certainly a good look on how the events of Sunset's Backstage Pass would go in this universe there(looks like without the time loop thing and the sirens).
And it was pretty cool in seeing some of the shorts implemented into the adaption too such as that short involving Spike there.
And really glad Spike did not get left out from this festival(though wished the issue of all the times he missed out due to Sci-Twi suddenly not willing to take him with her gets addressed, such as the spring break trip he missed out on and missing out on meeting his Equestrian counterpart..)
When Sci-Twi used Ancient Gear Gadget, I am surprised that Isaac handled that better about the fact his girlfriend is suddenly using one of the cards of the deck he hated alot(Ancient Gears). In fact its pretty surprising she had those Gadget cards added into her deck recently.
The upcoming duel between Sci-Twi and Isaac will be interesting to see.
Though seeing more bits about how Isaac retired Luna really.. hurts. It still bothered me on how she retired and what caused it to happen.
I see a error for the duel I like to point out to help out.
Ancient Gear Gadget's effect only activates the turn it was normal or special summoned, so it was supposed to activate on the turn Sci-Twi summoned it during Sunset's turn. And said effect lasts for that turn, meaning it wears off by the time Sci-Twi's turn happens there.
Red Eyes Chain With Fang became a equip card for Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, so when the dragon got banished then the equip card should have been destroyed.
