Chapter 160: Trauma

"Man, these are so good!" said Twilight as her cheeks were puffed out from the food she was currently eating as bits of burger sauce was on her face.

"Yeesh." said Isaac as he was doing his best to stop his food from being covered from the bits of food and sauce that were coming from his girlfriend.

"Aren't you hungry?" asked Twilight as she took a sip from her soda before going back to munching on her burger. "You said you wanted to go eat." informed the girl as she and Isaac were currently at her favorite fast food joint.

"Yeah, just kind hard to enjoy my food when... you know I'm not even going to finish that train of thought." said Isaac as he began to nibble on some fries. He then pulled out his deck as he began to get lost in thought.

"What is it?" asked Twilight as she looked across the table at the boy as she swallowed her food.

"Just... thinking about something." said Isaac.

"Like?"

"Like, how I ended up where I am. How for some weird reason, I got to have a girl like you to be my girlfriend?" said Isaac as he put his deck away and looked at Twilight.

"This again?" said Twilight as she had heard Isaac mention this topic time and time again.

"I'm just fascinated that you returned those feelings for me so long ago." said Isaac as he brought up the night of Shining Armor and Cadance's wedding where he confessed his love for the nerdy girl.

"Well, you caught my attention. Even more so, during our first meeting." stated Twilight as she was now remembering the time she was sneaking around CHS during a time when the Friendship Games were around the corner. It was there that she met the boy and the two confronted each other in a duel. "Not to mention, you saved me from evil magic. That's not something to be taken lightly; I'm grateful that you helped me that day. And since then, I slowly developed that interest of you into something more. Now look at us." Twilight then placed her hand on the table as Isaac put his over hers.

"About to graduate next semester. Going to live our own lives and separate paths. But through all that, we've had some incredible adventures and truly memorable friends. I wouldn't change anything." smiled Twilight.

"Your right." smiled Isaac lightly. "Just... trying to take everything in. Like you said, we're graduating soon. God, feels like yesterday that I enrolled in CHS and well, Rainbow was watching me from afar seeing if I could help her and the girls to take down Sunset. I'll never forget moments like that, especially all the ones I've made with you. I never thought that a girl like you would ever be with a guy like me, hell, I never considered myself being in a relationship. But I'm glad to have given it a try, cause I got someone who's smart, cute, beautiful, adorkable, and full of genuine magic that brightens up my world."

"And I'm glad you're my boyfriend." smiled Twilight.

Isaac then grabbed a napkin as he began to wipe his girlfriend's cheeks. The simple touch of skin on skin sent both teens' hearts rushing with emotions as Isaac finished cleaning Twilight's cheek as he still held it there as Twilight closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment. Both then leaned in as they shared a quick kiss as Isaac bopped Twilight's nose as it got a giggle from the cute bookworm.

Meanwhile, another person was in his house as they were trying to come up with a plan.

"Alright, this should get her attention." said a boy.

Canterlot High was having another school day as the students were in class. For a certain person, she was about to enter her office, when she opened the door and was greeted to a sight of flowers and other gifts.

"Again?" said Luna.

Recently, Vice-Principal Luna had been receiving tons of gifts from a mysterious person. The only good thing was that her sister didn't know about it or she would constantly being teasing her for having a secret admirer. Luna had too much duties on her hands to handle this situation that more often than not she just chose to ignore this, and as for the gifts, she gave them to her sacrifice, which was none than Isaac. Isaac was stunned by the all the gifts his vice-principal chose to give him that when he gave them to Twilight, safe to say he was immediately showered with a passionate kiss everytime. For Isaac, while he enjoyed Twilight kissing him, he knew what was really happening. And for a certain boy, he was watching this from afar as he snapped his fingers in defiance as he continued to do his best to get the attention of a certain women.

One day, Isaac and Twilight were in a classroom as they doing a bit of a study break.

"So, remind me why this method doesn't work for this problem?" asked Isaac as he pointed to his homework packet.

"Let me show you." said Twilight as she scooted closer to her boyfriend as she grabbed a pencil and paper as she began to work her magic. "Does that help?"

"Much better," said Isaac as he was now beginning to solve the problem with a determined look as Twilight watched him with a smile on her face, "What?" asked the boy.

"Just seeing you so focus on something really adds to your charm." smiled Twilight. She then leaned in and was about to capture Isaac's lips when the door opened up.

"Hope I didn't interrupt anything." said Cadance as she was holding Flurry Heart.

"Cadance!" shouted Twilight.

"Twilight, I didn't know you had that side of you. Does Isaac really bring it out of you?" said Cadance with a sly smile.

"It's not like that!" shouted the girl as she stood up with a face of embarrassment as she straightened out her skirt. "What are you even doing here?!"

"I wanted to stop by."

"Twily." said Flurry Heart as she reached out her tiny baby hands towards her aunt.

"Well, someone wanted to." said Cadance as she tickled her daughter's tummy.

"Hey, Flurry. Come to see, Aunty Twily." said Twilight as she grabbed her niece to which she nodded her cute little head. "You've got bigger since the last time I saw you."

"Hey, Cadance." stated Isaac as he addressed the young woman.

"How are you doing, Isaac? I hear you're responsibly for this program with the students. Much be a lot for you, not to mention you're a co-owner of a card shop, and set to graduate this year." mentioned the pink women.

"Believe me, it's not easy to juggle this many responsibilities at once. But I have to, especially cause my time is running out." said Isaac to the young women as he looked at her while Twilight was occupied with Flurry Heart.

"I get it. But you needn't worry about it so much. You'll get it done, I can tell." smiled Cadance as she placed her hand on Isaac's shoulder.

"I hear you." smiled Isaac. "How are you, Flurry Heart?"

"Isac." said Flurry Heart as she clapped her hands together and looked at the boy.

"Nice to see." said Isaac as he grabbed the little girl and held her in his arms.

"Isac. Uncle."

"I'm not your uncle." told Isaac to Flurry Heart.

"Magic. Magic."

"Want to see them?" said Isaac as he pulled out his magician cards. "Here you go."

"Magic." said Flurry Heart as she held Isaac's star monsters in her hands.

"So tell me, Cadance. Shining Armor still trying to get Flurry Heart to like his Blue-Eyes more than my Dark Magician?" snickered Isaac.

"He says that she's going through a phase that she'll eventually grow out of it." stated Cadance.

"Is that what he calls it?" chuckled Isaac.

"That's what I tell him." laughed Cadance as she found it funny that Shining Armor was trying so hard as a father to get his daughter to like his monsters instead of his rival. As Flurry Heart often put his beloved pets into her mouth and covered the cards in drool.

"So, Flurry? Care to talk to your father about letting me get you some spellcasters to build a deck of your own?" asked Isaac.

"Yeah. Magic." said Flurry Heart as she was still amazed by Isaac's cards. To Isaac he could see the spirits of his magicians as they looked at the little girl with smiles on their faces. To Mahad and Mana, they could sense Flurry Heart's potential as they looked forward to seeing the girl grow up.

"Okay, the other 51 plans didn't work out. But number 52 should do the... trick..." said Shadow as he happened to be walking by the room that all three of them were in. Shadow was now watching Twilight and Cadance play patty cake with Flurry Heart as Isaac was leaning against the wall with a smile on his face. "She's one lucky kid. Wish I had that." Shadow then began to look at Isaac with a close scan as he felt something when he looked at his professor. With that Shadow put his head down as he began to walk away, unbeknownst to him, Isaac and Cadance saw the boy from the corner of his eye as they watched the kid slowly leave.

"Where is the little boy?" asked Pinkie as she pulled a cupcake from her hair and was about to eat it when the door opened up and in walked her student. "He's here!!!" shouted Pinkie.

"Hey." said Shadow in a straight tone.

"I was getting worried, that you weren't going to come. I have a whole lot of fun activities planned for us." said Pinkie as she rubbed Shadow's head.

"Don't touch my hair." said Shadow as he waved off Pinkie's hand. He still found the pink girl to be rather obnoxious at times, especially when she invaded his personal space and touched his head without his permission.

"Aw, don't be like that." said Pinkie with a smile on her face. "We're here to have fun. Now come on, let's head outside." Pinkie then opened a window and then grabbed Shadow's arm as she literally jumped out of the window with the young boy.

"What the hell?!" shouted Shadow as he couldn't believe that Pinkie would do that. "What is wrong with you?"

"Duh, this was the quickest way to get outside. Plus, we're only 3 feet off the ground." smiled the pink haired girl as she got up and immediately started to bounce her way towards the field.

"If she keeps this up, I might die before I even become an adult." groaned Shadow as he then started to follow his tutor.

The pair now made their way to the field as Pinkie had a few of her party cannons set up. She then quickly changed into a coach's outfit as she had a whistle around her neck and a clipboard in her hands.

"What the hell is this?" asked Shadow.

"Training." smiled Pinkie. "Now step up."

Shadow just shrugged his shoulders as he approached one of the party cannons and looked at it.

"Is this safe?" asked the boy.

"Don't know." said Pinkie. "Now pull!!!" Pinkie then blew her whistle as she very close to Shadow's ears as his head was now ringing like a bell as he put his hands to stop it.

"Don't do that!!" shouted the boy. He then grabbed the string and pulled it as hard as he could as the cannon fired some confetti that was in as it shot outwards and landed by a yard line.

"Fascinating." said Pinkie as she scribbled something down on her clipboard. "Next!" shouted the girl as she and her student approached the next cannon.

And for the next moments or so, Pinkie kept having Shadow approach different cannons as they kept shooting out confetti as Pinkie had a serious look on her face as she wrote down the results.

"Hmm, move the decimal, carry the 2, and..." said Pinkie as she began to run some numbers quietly before announcing aloud, "All done!"

"What's the point of all this?" asked Shadow.

"Duh, I needed your help in figuring out which confetti goes the farthest. So I set up multiple cannons and filled them up with different confetti, but I didn't want to mess with the results, so I had you be the one to pull the string." smiled the pink-puffy haired girl.

"You're kidding me?!" shouted Shadow.

"Nope, numbers don't lie. Take a look." said the cotton candy girl as she showed off her clipboard to the boy. Safe to say that it didn't have any numbers on it at all but just random drawings and doodles.

"AHH!!" yelled out Shadow as he faceplanted himself on the floor. "Why does the universe hate me?! Why am I stuck with her?!" said Shadow as his voice was muffled by the ground.

"What was that?" smiled Pinkie.

"Nothing!" said Shadow as he still had his face on the ground.

"Come on, don't be such a baby." said Pinkie. "It won't help if you cry."

"I've done enough crying since I was a kid." said Shadow.

"See, if makes you feel better if you let it all out." said Pinkie. "Otherwise, people will think you have no heart. And if you have no heart, you can't feel anything. And you can't feel anything, you have no heart. And no heart means no love. And no love is well... it's just unbearable." exclaimed Pinkie for a bit before she went back to her cheery self. "It's why I'm happy that my big bro finally found love."

"Isaac must have had the best childhood growing up then. Being loved by his parents, having someone he looks up to, being good at Duel Monsters. Seems like all his life he's been blessed with good luck, I doubt there wasn't a time where he was growing up that he didn't feel like the world treated him unfairly." said Shadow as all he was saying was now taking a toll on his mind and was giving him a aching feeling. For second Shadow, could feel a tear in his eyes as him talking about Isaac's childhood now triggered a memory for him as it reminded him of his own beginning and how he almost never made it.

Isaac was now walking with a purpose as he immediately turned the corner and approached the door to Vice-Principal Luna's office. He had gotten a message from Pinkie as he excused himself from Twilight and Cadance as he said it was urgent. Isaac then grabbed the handle and opened the door as he was welcomed to a sight. Inside there was Luna, along with Shadow and Pinkie as the boy was sitting on a chair with Pinkie standing in front of her student.

"What happened, little sis?" asked Isaac.

"The weirdest thing, big bro. Me and Shadow were out on the field doing some experiments for my confetti, when all of a sudden I started talking about crying and soon he started to feel down. So much so that when I called on his name to see if he was okay, he just had a blank stare on his face. I tried everything I could, to get him to snap out of it, but nothing worked. Vice-Principal Luna was nearby and I asked for her help, but now even she could get a response from him. So we brought him into her office when I sent for your help." stated Pinkie.

"A blank stare?" asked Isaac.

"Yeah, nothing we do gets him to snap out of it." said the girl.

"Isaac, any ideas?" asked Luna.

"Hmm." was all Isaac said.

He then approached Shadow as the boy still had his head down as Isaac looked at him and he too saw the blank stare. He then pulled out something from his pocket so that only he and Shadow could see it as Isaac leaned in and whispered something into Shadow's ear as soon it worked and the expression was now gone.

"What did you do?" asked Pinkie.

"Don't worry about it." said Isaac as he put the thing back into his pocket as he allowed the girls to see the young boy.

"Are you okay, Shadow?" asked Luna.

"I think so. Vice-Principal Luna?" said Shadow as he was surprised to see the person he had a fascination with standing in front of him that he started to get nervous. He then saw Pinkie and Isaac standing there as well as he the nervousness was now gone as he realized what had occurred. "It happened."

"What did?" asked Pinkie.

"I had a blank stare on my face, right?" said Shadow.

"You were like that for a while. We couldn't figure it out, so Pinkie went to get Isaac and he did whatever he did to snap you out of it." informed Luna.

"I knew it." said Shadow as he looked at his professor and saw him as he was now looking at Isaac as his memory quickly came back to him. Isaac just gave a nod to the boy which was enough for him to know what he was saying. "Sorry for making you girls worry, but I was just reminded of something from my past. Something I don't talk about much."

“Care to share?” asked Luna as she and the others looked at the boy sitting in front of them.

“Alright, I was forgotten by my birth parents. To be honest, I don’t even know who they are and I think it’s for the best.” stated Shadow. “I was abandoned on the doorsteps of an orphanage on a cold, dead night. There was a woman, who noticed some crying coming out of the door as she opened it. She looked at the basket and saw it was a child crying.”

“That child was you.” said Isaac as he was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and his eyes closed as he listened deeply to Shadow’s story.

“Yeah.” nodded Shadow. “From there, they took me in. As I got older, I was put with certain caretakers. They only cared about two things: alcohol and sex.”

“How horrid.” said Luna as she was surprised by that fact.

“They didn't pay me much attention, in fact, they just saw me as nothing more than a freeloader and often times they just straight up ignored that I even existed. So for the first few years, I resorted to this kind of thing. All the nights, I spent listening to their yelling and bitching. All the nights they lashed out at me, they didn’t get physical, but there were times that I did get hit.” stated Shadow. “And that’s how it went, till one day, it seemed like all was lost.”

“What changed?” asked Luna.

“Hope.” said Shadow. “It was hope that granted me a chance. A chance to finally get out of the hell hole that life had thrown me in. One day, while the orphanage was taking me for a standard routine, a newly wed couple came in. From their appearance alone, I could tell that they were extremely wealthy. And so they came in, it seems there was a complication with them. Turns out the woman was infertile.”

“Infertile?” said Pinkie as she raised her eyebrow.

“It means not being able to physically have children, little sis.” said Isaac as he explained the meaning to the pink-haired girl.

“Seems her dream was to have kids, but according to their doctors, turns out she couldn’t live out that dream. It devastated them, especially the woman.“ informed Shadow. “So they went to an orphanage to adopt as a way to fill that void in their hearts. So they came and well… they saw me. It was the first time I actually saw kindness, the kindness that I had been missing my whole life. I legit had tears in my eyes when they saw me and decided to take me in. And so they did, they became my parents.”

“What happened after that?” asked Luna.

“The person who was my father, was a card designer for Industrial illusions. He’s officially retired from actually creating cards and serves more so as a tutor/overseer for the company when they need cards reviewed. He did so much in producing cards since he first joined the company that in a few years time, he rose up and became well respected by his peers.” said Shadow as he told the group about his father.

“The woman who became my mother, was a well known movie actress. Since the age of 19, she did all she could to get noticed by the acting world. She even moved to Applewood, in hopes of getting an audition for a major film that was looking for a female lead. Of course, they already had someone picked for the role, they just did this as a formality. So that was the first time my mother got a real taste at how the movie industry and acting world really functions.” stated the boy. “But despite all that, and the somewhat support my mother got from her parents, she still kept at it. And to be honest, she was literally at the end of her rope. Soon, just as she was about to move back with her parents, she got a call from one of the places that she auditioned for. While they didn’t have a role per say for her, they did say she could be an understudy for one of their actors. And so she went to the studio and did her part. She just watched from the side as she took it all in.”

“What did she do?” asked Pinkie.

“Well, one time while they were shooting, the main leading lady had gotten a call from her agent that said she had been booked for a bigger role and needed to meet with the producers of the show immediately. So she basically left the directors high and dry as she went after a bigger paycheck. With production already having been started, and them having to meet a certain deadline. They turned to my mother as they told her that she only had one chance to make an impression and show them what she could do. And boy did she rise to the occasion. She blew them away with how dedicated and hardworking she was willing to go. Her acting skills still needed work, but they knew they could polish it up with some lessons. So they gave my mother the leading role and she was soon on her way to making her Applewood debut.” informed Shadow as it brought a smile to his face. “Fast forward to when the movie was having its premiere screening and safe to say that my mother’s performance was passable. Now granted she wasn't freaking Cate Blanchett, but she had potential. And so after that performance, she met an agent to help her out and soon she began to get a few calls on some roles for commercials and advertisements for restaurants. Eventually, she got to work on another movie and when it came out, it was highly praised by critics. So much so that it was nominated for an Academy Award and a few Oscars. And it was at that moment, that my mother actually won the award for Best Female Actress as she and the rest of the team and producers all came up on stage with her as they said a few words to honor her persistence in making the film a success.”

“After that?” asked Isaac.

“Well, during a shooting for a TV show, my mother was in catering when she noticed a man walking in with a box. He was meeting with the props person as they were potentially talking about involving some card games. They shot down the idea, because they thought it would be silly to have a show where card games are the main focus of the show. Can you imagine that?” said Shadow.

“If only,” said Isaac as he briefly looked at the fourth wall.

“Well, anyways, after that quick meeting. My father was packing up his things as he dropped a few cards that landed by my mother’s feet. Now my father was a card designer, so he didn’t really play the game per say, but he knew the rules. Especially because of his boss.”

“Mr. Williams, I presume?” said Isaac and Luna.

“Yeah, how…”

“Long story,” said both individuals.

“Well, to save time, both of them met and eventually got to talking. And of course, yada yada, they fell in love and got married. Of course, they were so successful in their careers that they had tons of cash to retire with and basically were set for the rest of their lives. And now fast forward to when they adopted me and… it was the greatest feeling we all had.” said Shadow as he quickly wiped a tear from his eyes as Pinkie now sat next to her student and patted him on the back as she pulled out a cupcake from her hair as she offered it to the boy.

“I’m good, don’t want to know where that’s been.” said Shadow.

“Your lost.” said Pinkie as she shoved the sweet treat into her mouth.

“And so I finally had a family. Of course, my father was a card designer so oftentimes he did bring some cards with him from work. Usually extra copies.”

“And is that where you got your deck?” asked Isaac as he wanted to know the answer.

“Yes. Not at first, though. The way my father introduced Duel Monsters was more on a technical level in the sense of how to play the game.” stated Shadow. “Which is vastly different from what you and Pinkie have been teaching me. Which I’m grateful for.”

“Thanks for that compliment.” chuckled Isaac lightly.

“Anyways, my introduction to the game was mechanical. And so I came upon some interesting looking designs when I saw Raidraptors. To me they looked like fierce birds that were made for not only combat, but to express one’s anger. Just the names themselves, rang to me. So I began to search my dad’s work study where he kept all kinds of cards and eventually found the basic and standard cards needed for a Raidraptor deck. Of course, it was fully a Raidraptor deck, but enough to make it viable. And since I knew how to play the game, I began to practice with it. Now I’m far from calling myself a prodigy, even now, I’ll admit that I have a lot to learn. But compared to how I was doing to my small local tournaments being held. I did pretty well in them that I was considered advanced for my neighborhood. After that, I just kept at it, still remaining at my current level until I’m now here as a student of CHS.” said Shadow as he finished telling part of his tale. “But I’ll never forget what happened to me since I was born.”

After Shadow had finished telling his tale, he was still inside in Luna's office as Pinkie was there with him. Outside, Isaac and Luna were having a private conversation.

"I can't imagine what Shadow must have been through for such a young age." said Luna as she had a serious tone as she quietly talked with Isaac. "Isaac, did you know?"

Isaac was just leaning against the wall as he had his hands in his pocket with his eyes closed as his cap was over them.

"Isaac? asked Luna.

"Yes" confirmed the boy. "I didn't know the full details. When I looked at Shadow's profile, I only saw bits and pieces. So I made a call and talked with his adopted parents, even they only offered me a bit more info, but they said if I wanted to hear the full tale, then I would need to talk with Shadow. But I didn't want to do that to the kid, I didn't want to automatically ask him about his past until he was comfortable with talking about to me or the others."

"Does anybody..."

"No. No one, not even Pinkie." said Isaac as he lifted his head and turned it to look inside as he saw Pinkie and Shadow playing Connect 4. "I'd figured that if anybody can help Shadow to smile, it might be Pinkie. As annoying as he finds her to be, I believe she can help to cheer up the kid. And bring a happiness he hasn't experienced in a long time. Pinkie means well, despite her zany and weird behavior sometimes, she knows that her life's purpose is to make smiles happen. So she's trying her hardest to get Shadow to do that." Isaac then pulled his deck out from his pocket as he looked at it as he was now reminded of his childhood. "I noticed something with Shadow when he saw Flurry Heart being happy and laughing. And he saw it when he looked at me. I hate to say, but Shadow is a bit jealous of me. He thinks that I was given the good luck touch, that everything I touch turns into gold. And I can't blame him or anybody else who thinks that way. I mean, I've got smarts, dedication, a beautiful girlfriend, co-owner of a card shop all at age 19, not to mention I've been in some big time duels still as a high school student, and not to mention my skills at Duel Monsters. Safe to say, I've done a lot for someone my age, and I'm not even in my prime. What do you think I'll do once I reach that stage?" said Isaac.

"It legit frightens me when you say that. You're barely on the cusp of being an adult, and yet you're an experienced duelist when it comes to the game. Look at your deck and all the cards that have been with you since you were very young." said Luna. "It may have taken time, but look at the result."

"And yet, not many people see that. To them, they see a boy who's just lucky to be important. Growing up, my own childhood wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. I'm a prodigy of the streets; as a kid growing up in the city of Chicoltgo, it's not all nice. I watched it all from the front steps of my apartment, the same apartment that my parents spent tirelessly trying to provide the best they can for their son. Putting in extra hours just to cover rent, to give me the clothes on my back and still try to save some here and there. They did their best to try to shield me from the evil that kid shouldn't see at a young age, but they knew that they couldn't fully do it. Which is why, I just sort of matured when I was very young." Isaac's grip tightened on his deck as the spirits of his monsters could sense their master's emotions. "I watched the violence that ran the streets at times, gangsters causing trouble, crime, racism, sexism. All of it, I watched it front from those very steps. And the thing that kept me from going down that route, was my monsters. My deck. The moment, that my mother gave me that box of cards, was the moment that I knew I had to make them proud, that I had to beat the streets. And I did, but I also learned from it, I picked up street smarts."

"Isaac?" said Luna in a soft tone as she looked at the young boy in front of her.

"If I could trade places with Shadow, I would do it in a heartbeat. I rather have him live my life and become who I am, then have him suffer what he went through with being abandoned. I rather go a thousand years of being sad if it meant that the kid could have the happiness he craved. To me, seeing someone else be happy is enough to put a smile on my face."

"You really are selfless. You'd rather give up your own ending just to make sure everybody else gets theirs." stated Luna.

"Luna, I'm gonna need a favor." asked Isaac as he put his deck back in his pocket and got up from leaning against the wall as he looked at his vice-principal.

"I'm always willing to help students, it's my job."

"I need you to spend sometime with Shadow."

"I beg your pardon?" said Luna as she was stunned.

"Come on, Luna. I know you're smart, put two and two together. All those gifts you've been mysteriously getting, there from Shadow. You said it yourself when you met him and Pinkie during the hallway before the tournament took place. The kid just kept looking at you. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what it means." said Isaac.

"Even so, I have so many other things in my life that I'm occupied with." stated Luna. "My role is to help students, plus there's the obvious issue between the two of us. I don't have time to deal with the fascination he has with me."

"I'm not asking you to return whatever feelings he has towards you. I'm just asking for you to spend sometime with the boy and get to know him better. If he's going to smile, then he needs to trust people. People who he knows he can count on. Pinkie's role is to get him to smile and once he does that, he finally start to see that Pinkie isn't the annoying person that he makes her out to be. But that comes with time." said Isaac.

"I have full fate that Pinkie will in doubt help Shadow." informed Luna.

Which is why I need you to do this, Luna. You said it yourself, that your job is to help students. Well right now, Shadow needs help. Whatever happens between the two of you, happens. But right now, I want you to become his friend. Please, Luna."

Luna looked at Isaac as he examined her student. She then looked at the door window as she saw Shadow and how he was playing a game with Pinkie. She knew that given her role, she couldn't get too directly involved with Shadow and whatever feelings he had, but she knew she couldn't just abandon a student when they were in need of help.

"Fine. I'll fulfill your request."

"Thank you."

"On one condition." said Luna as she told Isaac her request.

Alright then." stated Isaac as he acknowledged Luna's request.

With that both of them then made their way back inside of the office. Around the corner, there was another individual who was listening in on the conversation that was being talked between Isaac and Luna. She had smile on her face as she listened in on a juicy detail that she couldn't wait to see, and tell to a certain principal.

Author's Note:

First off, Shadow's backstory was done by his creator, Vakama95096. He gave me the details of what he wanted and I put it into story mode. So once again thanks to him for helping me out with this and the next chapter that will be published.
